The beginning

Once upon a time there was an old Yellow Blumaroo who sold ice cream, popsicles and sundaes from is ice cream cart. All the kids loved the old man who provided them with cooling sweets during the hot summer. When they heard the tune of his cart, they all came running out of their homes with some Neopoints to get a delicious homemade popsicle. No one knew the real name of the old Blumaroo, so everyone just called him the Iceco man. He was greatly loved by everyone and known for his kindness.

The Iceco man was perfectly happy but there was one thing missing in his life; he did not have any children of his own. Very often he wished that he'd be granted a child who could take over the ice cream business when he was too old to do it anymore.

Every day he pushed his ice cream truck back to an empty home. He lived in a little wooden cottage just outside the village. In his house, he worked on new flavors of ice cream. He had hundreds of secret recopies, but no one to share them with. His biggest fear was that his ice cream would go into the grave with him.

One day, after a long hot day of selling sweetness to kids, the Iceco man found a shimmering bottle in the dust. Unsure of what it was, he picked it up and blew off the dust. He saw a shimmering yellow liquid inside of it. That's odd, he thought to himself. He decided to open the lid and see what the liquid was. As soon as he opened the lid just a little bit, the liquid shot up into the air and formed a shape.

Thank you for freeing me kind Iceco man. I am a Light Faerie and to show my gratitude, I will grant you your biggest wish. and the Faerie handed the Iceco man a small brown egg and then vanished before he could say anything.

The Iceco man looked at the cold egg in his hand; it was small enough to wrap all his fingers around it. What do I do with this? he wondered. He decided to take it home with him. When he got there, he set the egg on the table. I'm just going to do the only thing I know how to do, make a sundae from you.

He got a big shiny glass cup, put one scoop of strawberry and one scoop of vanilla ice cream in it. Then he carefully picked up the egg and placed in between the two scoops. He giggled to himself. There, an egg sundae. Now all you need is a topping. He put a big dollop of whip cream on top of the egg. Now you're done! He went to bed with a smile on his face.

The next morning when he woke up, he found something odd had happened to his egg sundae. In staid of an egg lying in between the vanilla and strawberry scoop, there was a tiny little Chocolate Draik, she could not have been bigger then a fist. She laid there curled up and asleep with a big dot of whip cream on her head.

The Iceco man carefully picked her up out of the cup. The Draik yawned, stretched out, opened her eyes and smiled to him. Hello daddy. she said.

The old man's heart filled with love for the little Draik. Hello my daughter. I shall call you Sundrae.

Delicious Dutch apple pie

The Icecoman was pushing the ice cream cart to the village with Sundrae sitting on it. It was a little chilly outside. Sun knew that there would not be much children who wanted ice cream in this weather but they were would try to sell anyway. When they got to the village, the Iceco man noticed that he forgot his scoop.

Sun, sweetheart, will you go back to the house to get the scoop for me?

Of course daddy! she responded, and she jumped off the cart and ran back home. When she got there, she saw the scoop lying on the kitchen table. She grabbed it and went back to the village. On her way back, she noticed a big Tyrannian Skeith sitting next to the road crying. Next to him there was a stack of crates with apples.

Why are you crying sir? Sundrae asked.

I have a thorn in my foot and I need to bring those apples to the village to sell. I can't get the thorn out, the Skeith sobbed.

Here let me help you, Sundrae reached over and pulled the torn out of his foot. The Skeith yelled out in pain.

Arrgg that hurts! the Skeith complained, but I guess it does feel a little better now. I think I can walk now! Thank you, little Draik. What is your name?

Sundrae sir.

My name is Titus, the Skeith responded. I am very happy that you helped me. I will give you one crate of apples to show my gratitude.

Thank you sir!

After she brought the scoop to her father, who was getting quite worried, she took the apples back to her house and for the first time, she made something hot in staid of cold; a Delicious Dutch apple pie.

Sun says: I'm happy to share my recipes with whoever wants them, so here is how you make one:

You'll need a 9 inch pie shape to make it in.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2/3 cups of sugar
1 pinch of salt
7 ounce of hard butter
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar

For the filling:
6 large apples
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
3 tablespoons of sugar
If wanted a hand full of raisins and/or nuts

Here's how you make it:
Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt together. Cut up the butter into small bits and add it and the egg to the mixture. Mix it with cold hands to a coherent ball. Set it aside on a cool place to rest.

In the mean while, peel, de-core and slice the apples in small slices. Add the lemon, cinnamon, sugar and raisins or nuts if desired.

Get the dough out and take about a fourth of it and set it away. Flatten the dough and push it into the buttered pie shape. Add the apple filling. Take the last bit of dough and add four table spoons of flour and two of sugar. Mix it up until you get crumbles. Add it on top of the apples. Put the pie in a pre-heated oven at 320F or 160C. Let it bake for an hour until its golden brown. Let the pie cool down in the shape.

Tip: add a scoop of vanilla ice cream while it's still warm. Bon appétit!

Dark chocolate brownies

Ingredients:
12 ounce dark 60-80% cocoa chocolate bars
9 ounce butter
3 large eggs
9 ounce muscovado or brown sugar
2,5 ounce all purpose flower
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar or essence

How to prepare:
Pre-heat the oven on 320F or 160C. Melt the butter and the chocolate together in a double-boiler or in the microwave. Beat the eggs until they are starting to become stiff. Add the sugar and beat until it's a smooth mixture. Fold in the chocolate, stir gentry until combine. Add flower, baking powder, salt and vanilla sugar and gently stir just until combined. Butter a 9 inch square oven dish and add the mixture. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.

Tip: You can also add chips of white chocolate to make it a little less rich. Nuts will also be very good in these.

Mao's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

One time, Sundrae's good friend Mao came over to the cart to buy ice cream. As Mao reached for her purse to pay for the delicious cold sweets, Sundrae said: Ah don't be silly, special friends like you don't have to pay!

Thank you Sun! Mao responded. I want to do something in return though. I'll give you my famous chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Sun's eyes lit up. I would love that!

Ingredients:
1 cup softened (NOT MELTED) unsalted butter
1 cup dark brown sugar (or muscovado)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp warm/hot water
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups flour
1 bag Nestle Mini Morsels or other chocolate chips

How to prepare:
Preheat oven to 350
The butter is semi important. If I know ahead of time to put the butter out for room temp butter by the time I bake, that's the best. Otherwise, I soften it very carefully in the microwave @ 10 second increments and when it's just soft enough to beat with a blender, it's good to go. Beat that butter into a light whip.

In a large mixing bowl, with the butter add the brown sugar (muscovado) and mix. Add the granulated sugar and mix. Add the eggs and mix. Add the vanilla and salt, mix. With the baking soda, put the teaspoon of water in a little vessel with the baking soda and mix it well until dissolved. Poor into the mix and stir.

Now add in the flour 1 cup at a time and mix well by hand. My little hand mixer doesn't like to mix this part. Then add chocolate chips.

Grease a cookie sheet. I scoop these with the ice cream scoop and they make the prettiest little cookies ever. Lovely, even and round. They should be around 2 inch big and spred them 2 inch apart. These babies grow!

Bake for 10 minutes. If you let them bake too long, they'll be too hard. They'll be very soft when you remove them from the oven. Just be sure to let them cool and set for several minutes.

Chocolate Beef Custard

For an Alien Aisha it is really hard to eat a fort hem delicious desert when they come down to Neopia. Protecting experienced that first hand. Every once in a while, she goes down to Neopia to see how all the earth Neopets are doing. That's when she came across Sundrae's little ice cream cart. Ice cream! Protecting thought! That is something I haven't had in a while!

May I have a Ketchup Ice-cream Cone please? Protecting asked Sundrae.

Sundrae looked at Protecting like she was making a joke but then she remembered how Alien Aisha's have very odd taste.I'm terribly sorry, but I don't think I have anything that would match your taste, Sundrae said. I feel really bad for you. Maybe if you tell me your favorite desert, I can try to make it for you.

I can give you my mother's famous Chocolate Beef Custard recipe, will you try to make it for me? Protecting asked.

Ofcourse! Just tell me how to make it and I'll have it ready for you tomorrow.

Ingrediënts:

1 beef steak
1 table spoon of butter
1 pint of milk
6 egg yolks
2oz granulated sugar
4oz dark chocolate, chopped up in little pieces
Whipped cream to top it with

How to prepare:

Cut the steak up in small half inch cubes and fry them in the butter for around one minute. Then remove from heat and let it rest.

Put the milk into a saucepan and bring almost to the boil. Remove from the heat. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until thick and fluffy. Gradually pour the milk on to the eggs and sugar, whisking continuously. Return mixture to saucepan and stir over a very gentle heat, until it coats the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate. Stir until dissolved.

Add chunks of beef. Do not add the grease from the pan. (If you are not an Alien Aisha, it might be best to leave the chunks of beef out. Humans and other Neopets tend to like deserts better without beef)

Poor the mixture into long desert glasses and cool them until they are chilled enough. Top with whipped cream.

Sundrae's Neo Story

Sundrae was adopted from the pound Sunday, June 28, 2009, 4:33:28 PM.

And then she got fed a Draik Transmogrification at Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 10:33:35 AM!

Right after that she was painted Pirate.

She was Transferred to my friend Melissa at Wednesday, July 01, 2009, 9:32:02 AM

And finally, Melissa painted her cloud and transferred Sundrae to me.

I hope that soon Sundrae will be Painted Chocolate, if TNT comes up with the color. Let's hope it looks like this:
