Introduction
Welcome to UTS, a Detailed HTML guide that doesn't just tell you how to do it, but Shows you. There are two HTML courses, The Beginners Course and The Advanced Course. The Beginners Course shows you basic HTML coding; Text Areas, Marquees, Changing Text colours, Text features, music codes and a couple of other basics. The Advanced course shows the more confusing codes such as Tables, advanced Marquees, image styles (by HTML help) and more.

So What is HTML, you ask? HTML stands for: HyperText Markup Language, but most people simply call it: HTML. It is used in web design, just as much as CSS is used. Now you ask, what is CSS? This guide is only about HTML, but I will say CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. Once you've mastered the basics and Advanced lessons, you should take the DHTML course! DHTML is very complex coding, but also gives you very pleasing results.

Well, I guess I should stop the Intro here, and start the guide.

But remember, to save your time, use the Navigation, or the "Return To Top" Button.

Beginners Guide
To Start any HTML codes at all, you must place a Start Code and an End Code. Lets use a Text Code as an Example. Notice how this sentance is darker than everything else?Want to do that? You see, the Start Code started off with

You see, all HTML codes, EVERY HTML code starts with <>, and when you end the code, you must put . Example: The code I showed you earlier must be closed with a code like this:

EXAMPLE: The full code to make text BOLD is:

If I put that code in here, it would look like: Here is bold Text! You see? You have just learned to start your HTML journey.

Basic Text Codes
I just taught you to make your text Bold, so lets move on. Noticed how when you did it, the code was < b >? Get it? Bold? < b >? To make you text Like this? Just do the same thing, exept put a

If I was to put that code onto this page, it would look like this:
and instead of a and .

Making your text Italic is the same process as making your text bold and underlined.

The strike code works a bit diferantly, because in this case, you must put

Marquees
Now that I've taught you to change your text style, it's time to move on to those moving text bands known as...
Marquees!

First off, you need to have mastered the <> and < / > thing before you can move onto this. If you have, you won't have a problem. Second, marquees aren't all that diferant from the text codes. Read this:

If I was to type that, here's what the results would be:

To start off a basic marquee code, you must type . Input your text inbetween this code, and to end your marquee input .

Did you see the first Marquee with red text? To do that, read this:

If I was to type that, the results would be:

This time, to start off your code, type this: That was your start code. a bit more tricky, but it's worth it. the end code is the same as every marquee: . You can also change the colours, too!

Background coding
Have you noticed instead of a plain, white background on this page it is animated water? This is the effect of advanced web design, but here is a code for a regular, coloured BG.

Text Colors
So, you want to make your text snazzy, right? Like this, right? Well, Text Colors are just what you need!

If I were to do that, this is what would happen;
To make your text cool, and snazzy, do this; And this text will be effected! Then, just close the code, like this;

WARNING: See a HTML color code sheet, like the one on Red13_k9's page. If it isn't a real color code, then your text will likely be changed to a random color, or green. Also, to change the color of your text, replace the 'AFEEEE' with a HTML color code, like 800000.
