NOTICE: Please, do NOT steal Gala's starry tail. I came up with the idea first, and if you want your peophin to have one too then ask and I MIGHT let you use it. Thank you for not stealing.
Welcome,guest.
My name is Galaxia, but most just call me Gala. Many consider me to be an evil spirit, a spawn of the depths of darkness. I have experienced true pain, pain of the deepest part of one's soul, and have experienced death. I've faded into darkness; my heart has been torn past mending. This wretched curse cannot ever be lifted. I accept no sympathy; for no one could ever understand what has been and always will be. I shall share with you my story, though it is a long one. Very well, I shall begin...
My Past
I was born to a small herd of about 10 peophins that lived in Maraqua. My grandfather Gohan had plotted to kill my father Shaminsoka when he was a child, but somehow he miraculously escaped to Maraqua where he began his own herd. He was quite young for a leader, but the herd members respected him deeply. He was hunting for koi one day when he met a beautiful young peophin mare named Aplicalibia. Later she was accepted into my father's herd and became his mate. Not long after, I was born. Except I was not just born like any ordinary peophin foal. It was at exactly midnight, and it was when all the planets in the galaxy were exactly aligned at the same time. I was born the hue of purest black, and my bottom half was a pattern of stars and galaxies! I opened my eyes for the first time, and they were glowing a deep midnight blue. The other herd members gathered around and whispered amongst themselves. Who was this strange babe? How were her eyes glowing like that? Nevertheless, I was accepted as a herd member and grew amongst the kind folk that lived in Maraqua. Curiously I was able to read the stars and understand the alignments of the planets; some would consider me a soothsayer. Though I didn't actually learn this art, I was born with it. I consider it a rare gift and it comes in handy sometimes.

When I was still very young, my father got news that Gohan had found out where the herd was living. Fearing for his herd and his family's lives, he was forced to leave and go into hiding. Only a few days after he left my mother found out she was pregnant. She was both overjoyed and full of sorrow at the same time, for she thought that my father would never get to see his second child. Later, my sister Breephin was born. She was the golden color of the sun with a beautiful cornflower blue mane, the spitting image of our mother. Our herd had to move around a lot to keep away from Gohan's searching eyes. My father never returned to the herd and my mother thought him to be dead, finally killed by my murderous grandfather.
~~~
A few years after my father left, a terrible destruction ripped through Maraqua. Hordes of vicious jetsams attacked us, killing anyone and everything around them. My mother spotted a cave nearby and quickly pushed Bree and I into it. Before sealing the entrance she was able to say one last thing to us: "I love you both very much, please take care of each other." Bree cowered in the back of the cave, bawling in a most terrible way. I felt something weird begin to well up in me, like a geyser just before it's about to blow. My eyes began to glow just as they had when I was born; the water around me turned a dark color. Bree screamed; the seal on the cave entrance was blasted apart as I flew through it. A ferocious rage had come over me that I was not able to control. I tore through the jetsams, wounding a few and angering the rest of them. They swam at me, trying to rip me to shreds as they had already done to all of my herd members, including my mother. I received countless wounds, but still I was unable to control myself. I would have surely died, but some strange instinct came over the jetsams and they left Maraqua, back to their territory. I finally was able to calm down, but I was losing a lot of blood. I looked in the cave for Bree, but she was not there. I decided I would die here along with the rest of my family, for what was the purpose of living? Everyone I had ever loved, every single family member, was dead. I slumped to the ocean floor, allowing my tears to dissolve into the water. I blacked out.
~~~
Later I awoke and realized I must've washed up on the Mystery Island beach. All my wounds were treated and covered in kelp bandages. I looked all around but couldn't see anyone. Suddenly a tall girl with long brown hair and glasses approached me, carrying some medicine. I feebly attempted to rise, but I was much too weak. She whispered soothingly to me and told me not to be afraid. I was too weary to move, so I allowed her to give me the medicine. It was not long before I was able to get around by myself. I had gotten a special connection to this caring girl named Lexi, for she had cared for me at my darkest hour. She allowed me to go where I pleased and didn't get angry when I went off to wander and did not return for several days. She'd just sit on the beach and write stories and draw sketches of things. Often she and I would just lie on our backs and stare at the clouds or stars in the sky, listening to the soft sounds of the sea lapping against the sand.

One day I was wandering near the ruins of Maraqua when I noticed a peophin that looked a lot like me. I had never seen a black peo, so curiously I swam to him. I noticed a large mask of pure gold aligned his head, with a single horn in the center. His eyes turned upon me, but I did not shrink away at their coldness. Any normal peophin would have been afraid at what they thought were cold, dark eyes of an evil spirit. Instead, I saw that they were full of the understanding of pain and suffering; they were sorrowful, yet gentle. Suddenly a group of other dark hued peophins appeared. Together they chanted, "We are the Peophins of the Night. We have seen true pain and it has turned our hearts to darkness. We are not evil, we are just misunderstood." I felt a connection with this group and I joined their herd. I got to be friends with the leader Kishou, whom I first met, his mate Elin, their son Crypt, and another herd member named Kala.
~~~
I was returning to my den one night when I heard commotion inside. I used a glowing orb to light the way and entered, saying, "Who's there?" I heard a stuttering voice answer: "I-I di-din't mean to, there was food here...I-I was jus-just hungry..." And a small yellow peophin appeared out of the darkness of a corner. I realized who it was and dropped the orb in shock, breaking it and dropping us into darkness. It was my sister, and she became a member of the herd and received her own den. Lexi also accepted her as her second neopet.
~~~
Much later after Bree showed up, a new member arrived. He was a deep shade of purple and had bronze armor on his legs and tail. He was once Kala's lover, but Crypt and Kala were now mates. Instead, he became Kala's adopted brother. His name was Enthon, and he was a quiet creature deeply engrossed in the gothic ways. Many didn't understand him, but I could see into his troubled soul. We met and almost immediately became mates, though we were still a bit young for it.
~~~
Later Kala gave birth to twins, one of which died. Xo, the one who lived, was a feisty young foal. Enthon frequently had to babysit him, but he would have none of it and told Xo to shoo. Xo began to play with a crystal ball that caused him to be teleported to where the faes lived. The Faerie Queen brainwashed him and caused him to lead a horde of faes against us. Bree and I's souls got trapped in bottles that the faes were carrying. The fae who was carrying me was clumsy and foolishly dropped my bottle, breaking it and freeing my soul. I attacked the fae carrying Bree's bottle, managing to break it and freeing her. Kishou turned upon the leader, a peo named Flowsaki. Later the matter was settled and the faes fled.
~~~
Only a few months later, a battered red male peophin showed up on the herd grounds and claimed his name was Sham. It was a joyous day as he and I were reunited. We both were astonished that the other had managed to live under the circumstances. And you could just imagine my father's shock when he got to meet Bree, the daughter he didn't know he had! Later that night Bree and I shared our stories of survival, as did my father. He moved into a den that used to be En's before he and I were mated. He and Kishou became close friends.
~~~
Only 6 months after my father arrived at the Peophins of the Night, something happened that would change my life forever...I had become pregnant. Everyone except my father knew. I was worried about him finding out because he had a strong dislike against early pregnancy. (You'd understand if you read his story on his webpage.) Of course it wasn't long before he found out, me having a huge belly and all. He was very disappointed in me, but he soon accepted it and later I gave birth to a colt. He was of a buckskin hue with black mane and tail, and had curious white markings on his tail, legs, and underneath his eyes. But what was the most unusual about him was that he was born with batwings. Crypt came up with the name Radesty, and so it became his name. He was very rowdy and rude, tearing about the den fighting imaginary monsters. En constantly punished him, but it just wasn't working. I felt it was mostly my fault, since I was just not ready to be a mother so young and wasn't teaching him correctly. Kishou was very displeased with him and could stop Rad in his tracks with a single glare.
I was koi hunting one day when I noticed a dead peophin's body. It had a strange wound: a single gash across the right shoulder that was glowing green. There were no other marks on the body, so we figured that was how the peo had died. Later we realized it was Gohan's doing. Again, just as he had had to do when I was a foal, my father had to leave the herd grounds and go into hiding. But this time he assured Bree and I that he would return. Some of Gohan's followers came into our midst, stealing Xo and Rad. They threatened to kill the foals unless we gave up Sham. I pleaded with them and told them I didn't know where he was. "Liar!" the leader spat. "You are his daughter, of course you know where he is!" They dragged the foals away. Kala and I secretly followed them and watched in horror as a death ceremony was held. I saw a very old white stallion holding a glowing green stone between his teeth, and I knew that it must be Gohan, my grandfather. He placed two gashes on each of the colt's shoulders and allowed them to die from the strange power of the stone. The group left the scene of the crime and Kala and I rushed to our son's bodies. As we began to grieve, we heard voices coming from somewhere. It was our sons, and they told us that to avenge them and bring them back, we had to kill Gohan with the glowing stone. The biggest problem was that we only had three hours to accomplish this, or our sons would be lost forever. Kala and I wasted no time and rushed in the direction Gohan and his herd had gone. It took us 2 and a half hours to finally reach them and we were losing hope. I distracted the herd by getting them to chase me. Kala slammed into the peo with the glowing stone on a cord around its neck and ripped it away. Only minutes before our sons time was up, Kala grabbed a hold of Gohan and stabbed the stone into his heart. He fell backwards to the ocean floor and disappeared. In his place were two teenage peos. We learned that the process that brought our sons back to life had fast-forwarded their ages.
~~~
A few years later, Rad found a jetsam in his cave and together they did battle. Many jetsams came upon the herd. After a very bloody battle, Kishou came and scattered the group, causing the rest of them to flee. My son floated there, bleeding from many wounds, as Kishou exiled him for bringing the jetsams upon the herd. I was distraught and fled from the herd grounds. A few hours later I returned and learned that Enthon had also left after the exile, and I have not seen him since.
~~~
Since then the herd has scattered, and I have gone away from the empty herd grounds to a quiet place. I mourn over the loss of my family ad have slipped into a state of deep depression. The years have turned me old and gray, and I have not known joy for many a time. I do not know if I will ever experience it again...
~~~
I returned to find a new herd had begun, Peophin Song. It was led by Crypt and many of the old members still lived there. I reunited with Bree and my father and I began to feel less depressed. My coat grew shiny again and I regained a healthy appearance. I began to flirt with Crypt a little, finding my girlish side once again just as I had with En. Its not that I had forgotten about him, its just that I had accepted his disappearence and had moved on. If ever he was to return I would gladly reunite with him, though I fear I will never see him again.
~~~
Crypt and the herd went to launch an attack on Faerieland one day and I was forced to stay behind. Angry and feeling I was worthy, I went after them anyways. But on my way through the jetsam territory I found an entrance to an underground cavern and went in. There, I found my grandmother Kajora. She was a mare that had fallen from the sky during a meteor shower and had given Gohan the Stone as a gift. Her daughter was Aplicibia, my mother. She is partly immortal, which is why she has lived so long. Just when I was about to leave she changed form and told me I was to return to my celestial being which was trapped within my body. She instantly killed me, but my spirit remained. My father came by and found my body, and he mourned and buryed it. I tried to get his attension but he could not see me. I followed him to the herdlands and later I was able to contact my son Radesty through a dream. I told him he'd need to find a dark faerie to help me receive another body.
~~~
Now I float about the herdlands in a morbid state. I'm a faded shadowy shape with a starry galaxy coloration, and my midnight blue eyes remain
glowing as they have on rare occasions. Often I look to the skies, reading what the stars have to tell me. All I can do is wait and hope for the best, or assume I will remain like this for forevermore, haunting the seven seas...
My Family

This is Sham, my father. I only just got to reunite with him a few years ago, just shortly before I became pregnant with Rad. I had thought that all of my family except Bree and I had been killed. He comes and goes, for it is in his nature to wander and he rarely stays in one place for too long.

This is Bree, my only sibling. She was born shortly after my father left the herd and was only a few years old when our herd was destroyed. I thought she had perished, but many years later she reappeared and joined the Peophins of the Night. She has split personalities depending on what mask she is wearing.

This is Enthon, my mate. He became Kala's adopted brother. He was deeply engrossed in the gothic ways and didn't talk much, but I was instantly attracted to him. Later we met and quickly became mates. After Rad's exile he has disappeared, and I have not seen him since.

This is Radesty, my son. En and I had him shortly after becoming mates, and we were still a bit young for children. He was a strange colt, born with bat wings and a mangled spirit. He was rather rowdy and disrespectful as a child, and I feel its my fault since I wasn't ready to become a mother. At the age of two he was warped to the age of eighteen through a series of strange events which I mentioned in my past. Later he was exiled from the herd for putting everyone in danger. Then Kishou returned with a softer heart and reallowed him into the herd, though much like his grandfather he's used to wandering and doesn't stay long.
Aqquaintences
Kala was a friend of mine. She and I have been together in tough situations and she also helped to bring my son Rad into the world. She is able to sense jetsams from a 5 mile radius, and she often keeps the herd safe from them.

Kishou,one of the peos I respect the most. He was once leader to the herd Peophins of the Night. He has a unique magical mask that contains a horn. Recently he has changed to a much younger, boyuant(sp?) type that speaks 'Long Patrol'.
Crypt, the son of Kishou. He and Kala were once mates, and he now leads the Peophin Song herd. He has the power to freeze things. For awhile I flirted with him, though it was shallow and we didn't hook up or anything. Hee, I wonder if he likes me still...
