Hi there! Welcome to the
Origami Paint Brush Campaign, or OPBC, I suppose. The campaign started on January 29, 2007, and consists of users who would like TNT to release an Origami color and paint brush. The campaign was inspired by Fraze (frazeocity), an avid origami creator, and brought to life by Ginz (imogenweasley), at the
NTWF. However, you don't need to be a member of the NTWF to join us, and all contributions are welcome!
November 27, 2008: As of today, the campaign is in my hands (Water), since our Dimi has ended his Neopian career... Things will stay normal, no changes for you :)

September 13, 2008: From now on, since our great Ice is retreating from Neopets, I, pokemon_lunatic, will be in charge of the OPBC. You can find her written permission here. Also, since dimilunatic is just a side account, you are kindly asked to send any and all messages regarding the OPBC to pokemon_lunatic.
Why an Origami Paint Brush?
I suppose you're wondering why we should have an Origami Paint Brush and color. Well, for one, it's creative, and would be quite different from current colors. Besides, the concept of origami is not totally foreign to NeoPets. A past Random Contest (find out which one!) focused on creating origami Neopets, and origami items have already been introduced to Neopia. Cardboard Petpets, which come in the starter packs for newbies, appear to be origami-like. The point is, artists have already had experience with origami items on Neopets, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem to create. It's possible that it would also cultivate an interest in origami among players (which is in fact one of our secret aspirations ¬_¬).
How can I help?
If you're interested, simply place a banner or button someplace where people will see it. The best place to do so is generally your user lookup. Besides promoting the cause, you can also create support graphics for us, whether buttons, banners, blinkies, your own origami pet artwork, whatever! Depending on submissions, it's possible that not all graphics will be accepted. We are also trying to make origami references in the NT, so if you want to do that too, it would be awesome :3
Please note that we do not take side accounts - it's falsely inflating the number of supporters, and we don't want that. Folks are also asking how to join - just send me a neomail saying that you'd like to join, nothing special. Again, the best way to help us is to spread the word among your acquaintances and place links on your pages.
