Physique
Starbeam is a model pony with a little bit of muscle. No that's not chubbiness; it's mostly muscle. She's actually a little stocky, being on the short end of the height chart. Otherwise she's a "perfect" example of what a pony should be: a healthy mane, bright fur, and expressive eyes. She's very proud of her appearance and works to maintain it at all costs. Not one for sacrificing fashion for comfort, she sometimes goes out of her way to make herself shine like the stars she studies.
And while her glossy coat and shining eyes may seem normal- it's obvious that she's nowhere near average. Her fur and mane boast bright primary blue and yellow, with occasional yellow "freckles" dotting her cheeks. The red is a dye she's put in because, honestly, she enjoys standing out. It's hard to miss a girl with a primary color scheme, isn't it?
Personality
Upon your initial meeting with her, you'll see Starbeam for what she truly is She doesn't bother with facades or false friendliness; not because she means to, she's just that easy to read. She wears her heart on her sleeve and likes to be straightforward with others. There's not much she can do about it. Whenever she tries to, she comes off as stand-offish and completely unfriendly, and she hates being something that she's not. So she just sticks to her typical bubbly and open self.
In her more work-oriented environment though, Starbeam becomes extremely focused. Any mention of stars can send her into full-on professional mode. After all, that's her job. She dedicates her life to discovering constellations and finding out all she can about the stars. But you might want to stay away from bring them up as topics of conversation. She tends to ramble.

Today in the news...
Shadow
A lot of ponies have pets, y'know? In fact, I'm pretty sure that most do! So of course I have one too. Now, it might not make sense that mine's not some bird or something but that's because really... I don't like them. I mean all they do is chirp and sing. Which is cool and all, but I just don't want one. Especially since I stay up late a lot, their early morning singing would wake me up and just... ugh. I'm not a morning person, to say the least.
So one day I went down to Ponyville to see what type of animals there were. Now of course only Pegasus ponies can walk on clouds, but I figured I could find some way around that. I spent all day down there! I was looking around when I came across this little fella. He's such a cutie. He's some kind of wild dog but ghee, I have no idea what kind. But he's adorable and one of the sweetest animals I've ever met. Plus he's a night owl like me! No early morning wake-up calls for us.
When I took him back up to Cloudsdale, well obviously it didn't work out too well at first. But that's okay! See, we're pretty resourceful. My dad's an engineer and an inventor in his free time. He made Shadow here a neat little belt with some balloons on it. And all I have to do is fill the balloons up and Shadow can bounce around the clouds with me. Isn't that neat?
