TNT has commented on sponsor links in the Editorial. It's not the most precise wording and has still left some question about what the heck it all means. I don't know for sure, but since many people have been neomaling about it, I thought I'd offer my two cents about how I have interpreted what was said.

The sponsor links themselves, when they were not living on petpages like this, could actually be spotted in banners, sponsor games and other sponsor areas. If you spot one of these, be sure to click the link as you will still earn the NP for those clicks. That's all fine and using the sponsor links as they were intended to be.

But it is my understanding that collecting all the links together in a single page to quickly click through them all like we have be doing is against the spirit of what TNT had in mind when it comes to sponsor links. Yes, it is possible to create your own webpage with working links on your own computer still, however I don't think that TNT would like this.

But like I said, I don't know for sure. I can only tell you that I'm not going to use these links myself as I'm not willing to risk losing my main account over a few NP. Should you choose to find a way around what TNT did to continue to use these links, that is your perogative. Please don't ask me how to work around what TNT did, or ask me for the links themselves. (Any neomail asking this will be ignored)

Well, there you have it. That's everything I know about this. If you choose to continue to use sponsor links to earn NP, please let me know if you receive a warning or are frozen by TNT. At least then we'd have a definitive answer about the whole thing.

Jan 3 Update: Sorry, but it looks like TNT might be serious about not allowing pages like this. :( Just on the off chance they change their minds, I'm going to leave this page up for a couple of days, but I wouldn't count on it.

What happened? All sponsor link pages simultaneously stopped working, sometime around 3pm NST today. All pages that had links like this were changed by TNT to no longer work. So here's how they did it. Sponsor links typically looked like:

If you've forgotten how to make NP the "hard way", there are many guides out there still which do not completely rely on sponsor links to earn NP (I guess I was a bit silly putting all my eggs in one basket, eh?). Here's a few of my favourites:

Jan 2 Update: Since mid-day yesterday, the payout on sponsor links and hidden NP has become horrendously slow. From time to time this happens. Hopefully it will be back to normal soon. In the meantime you can continue to use this page but it may take several hours (instead of about 10 minutes) before you'll see your NP.

Groan! Do we really need another page of sponsor links?!? you might be asking. Maybe not, but many of the other pages that have these types of links are not maintained and still have links that haven't paid out in a dog's age on them and new links are rarely added. While I can not take credit for the original idea of this type of page, I'm giving this page a lot of my time and effort too find new links and continue to verify that the links posted are still indeed working so that you can make the most amount of NP with as little effort as possible. Because of the amount of work that goes into finding new links and verifying if they pay out and how much they do pay out, I kindly ask that you don't copy this page.
