Spirit's life changed for the first time when she suddenly disappeared from Neopia. She was only gone for a few days, but during these few days, her friends were devastated, as they thought she was gone forever. No one ever understood exactly the cause of Spirit's disappearance, only strains of conversation relating to a 'frozen account' . Spirit: It was really scary!
Soon after this, Spirit met Ban, a handsome, brown stallion owned by one of Sprinter's friends. They quickly fell in love, and soon, Spirit gave birth to a daughter she named Taythea_cloud. For a few months, everything was perfect between the young family, but soon, Ban and Spirit began to fight a lot, both verbally and physically. Eventually, it proved to be too much for them, and Ban left Spirit, taking their daughter with him. At first, Ban was saddened that Spirit no longer cared for him, but as he saw her walking around without a care in the world, as if their love had meant nothing, he began to grow angry.
As his anger grew, he began to brainwash his daughter against her mother, telling her that she was the cause for the breakup, never mentioning that he was the one that had left, as well as the one who sparked Spirit's anger to begin with. However, Tay believed her father, and the young filly grew to hate and resent her mother for all the turmoil in her life. Spirit grew hurt and angry at her daughter's betrayal, and even more so at Ban for causing it all. As time wore on, the fights continued, though this time about their daughter.
During this time, Spirit met another stallion, named Acid. Unlike Ban, Acid wasn't handsome; he had been tortured in the past, and as a result, was missing his eyes and hooves, and oozed acid from one of his front legs. However, despite his unpleasant appearance, he had a heart of gold, and Spirit fell for him quickly, as her pained heart ached for someone during this time. Around the same time, Ban found love as well, in a place close to home: Spirit's best friend, Clem. The two soon had a daughter named Orchid, who was quickly pulled into the battle by her half sister. Tay tried to get Orchid to side with her in the still-raging battle between her parents, but Orchid refused to get involved.

The months passed, and the fighting between the family continued. Ban grew even angrier when he saw Spirit with a new mate, and he became even nastier toward her. Tay's anger also grew, as she thought that her parents' new mates were trying to replace her real parents. However, she soon turned to Clem as a mother, since she had no desire to have her real mother in her life anymore.

All this fighting angered Spirit so much that she turned into a uni that nobody knew. She lashed out at her friends and family, and at times was so full of anger that it was frightening. The fighting, previously between just her and Ban's family, soon expanded to involve everyone she knew. Acid tried to protect Spirit from her friends' anger, as well as keep her in line, but it was difficult. There was just too much for one uni to handle.
One day, it all came to a head, and Spirit attacked another pet that happened to irritate her. A brutal fight went on between the two neopets, and because of her sheer size and furious anger, Spirit walked away as the winner. However, the battle had left Spirit with serious injuries, and she nearly lost her life.

Finding herself so close to death calmed Spirit's anger, and changed her outlook on life. She realized that the past few months of furious fighting had done nothing but worsen the situation she was in. She decided to forget about Ban, and as much as it hurt, even her daughter. As much as she wanted her daughter in her life, she knew that with all that Ban put into the filly's head, it was unlikely that she would ever love her mother again.
This experience also impacted Spirit's friends. They decided they needed to listen to Spirit, instead of being angry with her. Soon, they were all informed that Ban was the cause of most of the entire situation, and now that spoke without anger, they believed her. When they truly thought about the situation, it was clear that Ban had been the one to instigate Spirit. As soon as Clem found out, she left her already failing relationship with Ban, and took Orchid with her. After a while, even Tay realized that her father was wrong, and she apologized to her mother for all she had said. It took some time, but Spirit and her daughter eventually formed a good relationship.

While Spirit's life was looking up, Ban's had fallen to shambles. His daughters were gone, most of his friends had left him, and he had little family. He decided to leave, and travel to a place far away, where he could perhaps find a new life, or at least some normalcy.

Spirit's life changed once again the following spring, when her owner decided to set her pets free. It was a decision that came without warning or reason, and everyone was frightened and upset at hearing the news. However, their owner didn't back out on her decision; she said goodbye to her pets, and let them go into the wild. Due to the fear and hurt in their minds, many of the pets scattered without a thought of their siblings, and thus lost contact with each other. Eloragirl, the kyrii, and Spirit were the only pets that remained, so they decided to travel together. Surviving in the wild wasn't as hard as they thought it was going to be, but it was lonely. Spirit and Eloragirl missed their adopted family, and felt hurt that their owner didn't want them. They had thought their owner would never give up on them. Spirit: -glares at me-
Several years have passed since then, and Spirit and Eloragirl have gotten used to their situation. They sleep wherever they can and eat whatever they can find, or at least Eloragirl does. Spirit would rather starve than eat anything but sweets, so she often raids candy shops and bakeries, as she can't afford to buy the large supply she needs. She also visits her family and friends often, unlike before. Life this time truly seems to be back to normal, but who knows when that could change, for Spirit's life has never been particularly normal.
