Story

Are you sure we're supposed to be back here?" I nervously touched the brick walls covered in slime and mold, making my way down the dark alley. Carson nodded his head. "Of course. Now be quiet. I'm trying to listen for it." I sat down on a trash can. We were trying to find the pound. My owner left me out on the streets. One day, when I was wandering around in the rain looking for a home, I met a fire Gelert who was almost a goner. His flames were flickering ever so lightly, his eyes were drooping, and he could hardly move. So I took him into the alley I stayed at and took care of him. The next day when he woke up, he told me his owner left him on the streets too. So we joined together an-- "This way!" Carson hopped onto some trash cans and leaped over a fence. I followed. To finish my story, we joined together and now were on a mission to find the pound so we can get adopted again.

Bustling streets, annoying Pteri squawking, and all the basic Neopia Central stuff. It was getting dark, so it was starting to die down. All at once it fell silent. I looked over at Carson, who as looking over at me. "What just happened?" I whispered, scooting near him to be safe. "OVER THERE!
I looked over my shoulder to find and angry-looking Tonu and about two dozen other Neopets behind us. "What's going on?!" Carson demanded, stepping in front of me, protecting me. A Techo held out a paper. "Strays. We're here to beat you up.
I winced and took a step back. "Why?" Carson growled. "Upset that you're strays too?
A large 'Ooo' rose from the gang.
The Tonu stepped forward. "That's none of your buisness. Now, give us all of your belongings and nones of yous gets hurt.
Carson sneered. "We don't have anything. Whatcha gonna do now, huh?
A rather small Lupe leaped on a trash can. "FIIIGHT!
Fine," Carson said, standing his ground. "Hit me with your best shot.
The Tonu started to sharge at him.
WAIT!
I stepped out from behind Carson. Every face had a surprised look.
What do you want, snowbunny?" the Techo sneered.
I cletched my fists. "The name," I barked, "Is Spetcrum.
