I've been thinking how to write this for a while. You know I'm quitting.
This is the last place you can talk to me. So I'll say it here.
We had something, back then. I don't know who you are now, where you are, what you're doing.
I doubt you even acknowledge what we had the way I do. To you, it was a friendship, nothing more.
I want to remind you that's not always what you said. For a while, you said you felt the same way as I did. I don't know if you were lying or serious, all I know is what you said.
This is my last word. The final things I wanted to say to you. I did love you. You may not realize it. But I was completely serious when I said I wanted to spend forever with you.
Thank you. For teaching me not to give away my heart like that. I was foolish. You showed me my folly. I won't make the same mistake twice.
I hope you're happy. Whatever you do, wherever you go, have a good life. Someday, I will. And whether I like it or not, you'll always be a part of that because you are part of my past.
