This page is in the process of changing over to a page explaining how to do Neohome bug reports and requests. I'm changing it because TNT has made it clear in an editorial that they do not approve of letter writing campaigns.
Since it began as a Neohome page it will still have a section on how to report bugs that are specific to Neohomes such as furniture that doesn't load (the yellow box syndrome).

Neohome PINsNeo, can you please let us set PIN numbers for our Neohomes? Bank accounts, shops, galleries, and stock market accounts can all be protected with a "PIN number." Let's add PIN number protection to the "remove items" feature in our rooms. If you would like to help bring this to the attention of Neopets staff please write a letter to the Neopian Times editorial. It's best if you make the letter friendly, cute, silly, or personal to catch attention. For example you might say you need the PIN number protection to keep scary ghost meepits from stealing your furniture. Or you could tell Neo that your pets take turns sleeping on the porch to guard their Neohome from sneaky scammers and want a PIN number protecting their furniture so they can get some sleep. Once you have written your letter just paste it into the editorial submission form and send it on it's way. |
Stop the size changesNeohome and Neogarden items often change size suddenly. This has happened more than once. Sometimes things suddenly shrink, sometimes they expand. This often destroys the careful compositions people have made and can ruin a house or garden. Some Neohomers have begun to joke about evil "supersize rays" and "shrink rays. Let's ask Neopets to please quit changing the sizes of furniture and garden items. Suddenly shrinking or expanding furniture that is already in place in homes accross Neopia is unfair to the people and pets who bought the furniture because they liked it as it was, and who have designed homes around it. If Neo wants to make a seperate smaller or larger version of a Neohome item, that could be a good thing for people who want size choices, but please don't tamper with the furniture that's already released. If you would like to help bring this to the attention of Neopets staff please write a letter to the Neopian Times editorial. It's best if you make the letter friendly, cute, silly, or personal to catch attention. Threatening the Neo staff probably won't make them want to help us. For example you might write about how a pet felt watching their bedroom fall apart after tiling it so carefully, or describe the work you put into achieving a dramatic effect and what the change in size has made it look like, or joke about who might be behind the sinister plot of swelling and shrinking things, or ask if there is a plan or reason to the changes. Once you have written your letter just paste it into the editorial submission form and send it on it's way. |
White gardensHave you ever wanted a white or winter garden? Right now you can make a garden green, brown, yellow, blue, purple, or red, but not white. Let's ask for true white garden backgrounds! If you would like to help bring this to the attention of Neopets staff please write a letter to the Neopian Times editorial. It's best if you make the letter friendly, cute, silly, or personal to catch attention. Threatening the Neo staff probably won't make them want to help us. For example you might write about how sad your snow pet looked when you had to color his winter garden pale blue or purple-y grey. Or you could thank the Neopets team for making such nice icy and snowy garden items and describe how they deserve a real white background to show them off. Once you have written your letter just paste it into the editorial submission form and send it on it's way. |

Why have this page?Many Neohomers have concerns or ideas that they have sent in repeatedly as suggestions, editorial questions, or bug reports with no visible reaction from the Neopets team. Perhaps our voices are being lost in the crowd. If we add our voices together we are more likely to be heard than if we act by ourselves. Since the Neopian Times Editorial says "The most common⁄bizarre questions will appear here next week", writing the Editorial seems like a good project for Neohomers to work together on so we have a chance of asking the "most common" question. I've never tracked all of the broken furniture, but I did track one particularily frustrating bunch of furniture that had an error message that stopped you from moving it into a room.
The furniture that gave an error message but that isn't really broken was the letter topic one August (back when this page had a monthly topic). It stayed as the letter topic for a loooong time because I got so much Neomail about it (more than on any other letter topic) and because I was away from Neo for a good while and (let's be honest) being lazy about updating it. Almost all of that batch of error-messaged furniture has been fixed.
