Now that you are aquainted with the different difficulties of a simon here is how to play,using my main and some spare accounts of mine.....

How to Play...

This is how the host(the person whose made the simon) will start a simon off with the first avatar. You put #(and whatever the number is) and sometimes the name with it.

If you have the avatar this is how you should reply and one way not to reply....

If you don't have the avatar then here is the correct way to reply and one incorrect way to reply.

That will continue for 10 rounds normally but it can be any amount from 5(any less is pointless) to 272(although I've never seen one go to more than 20 xP).

First post

Here is a basic first post of a avatar simon board ,I will explain every part:

• First of all the "10 avatars" refers to the amount of avatars the game will have.
• Next the "No prize" refers to when people used to give out prizes for competing. This is against the rules and the maker of the board is liable to be frozen/warned. It may be left out because it is usually common sense.
• Set to default" means set to a default avatar. It can be any of the default avatars, but it is usually set to the basic default. People never seem to get the point of setting to default. There are 2 reasons. First of all the host could have the avatar and wanted to use it for the simon, but since you used it he now no longer wants to use it, therefore possibly removing a point off of your score. Second to show that you've read the rules which is nice for the host to know.
• Next is "No Strikes". A strike is when you miss an avatar, like in baseball. Most of the times it will either be "No Strikes" or "Three Strikes"(like in baseball yet again).
• Last "Say enter to enter" is another way to know that you've read the rules through, and that way they know who's playing. Most of the time they want you to say enter, but some people will put different phrases like: "I like pie","Squirrels rock!","I am not pwning :(","I'm going to lose!",etc.....(sorry got carried away there lol)

Basic Rules for hosts to follow are...

• Start a Simon in the basic fashion that I have put on that screenies(theres premade ones you can copy,paste,and customize farther down the page). With the following items: Set to default or not,saying enter or whatever,how many avatars,and state whether there are any strikes or if it will last till the end with no one losing(No Strikes).
• Follow the basic avatar list categories(easy,medium,hard,insane) when you host a avatar simon says. You do not have to follow my list exactly, but my list will be fairly accurate on how rare the avatar would be considered.
• On the meerca brothers avatars,the Maraquan and Meridle war avatars,and the Royal korbat avatars it is usually allowed to use either of them if they show one of them. Because you can't always have the avatar shown by the other person.
• If no one has the avatar sometimes people don't count the avatar in the game, But I personally count it. The choice is up to the host.
• If you host simons frequently you may change the avatars around. Don't always use the same ones because sometimes you may get people in there that have played one of your before. And it wll probably get boring after awhile anyways unless you switch it up a bit.
• I know this sounds stupid,but I have to add this. In the begining of this page I said that one of my friends tried to do something I'd consider illegal in a simon,so heres that rule: "You cannot use an avatar twice". Funny isn't it,lol.
• There's another rule I would like to add. Once or twice I've seen a newbie doing a simon,and they just said the avatar and had the people show it. They did not have the avatars which is not how a simon should be hosted.
