Story-How Oceans Mourn

Prologue-Collapse
Crashing filled the air.
I heard screams in the distance. The world was moving as if it was sliding down a plate violently. Suddenly, extreme violent shakes rose in great tides. Through the screams and the silent voices of broken grass falling, I heard a slight voice, but soon an unknown force silenced it. Safe. That was the last word. Where was I? What was happening? Mom, Mom, Mom where are you. Mom! Dad! That is when the finale came, and the world stopped, and all I can remember was the endless darkness. I was filled with the darkness filling the torment of my head.
Chapter 1- Trading Boats and Explorers
7 Years in the Future: Junit 10th 5012
Slieur come back to me, a silent voice screeched.
A hand reached out, crawling as if it was in pain. I felt the hidden dark space enclosing on me, suffocating me from the inside out. No, get away from me! I screamed, help me, someone in this world.
Sli, Sli, Slieur, wake up!
I breathed heavily, and looked around. All I saw was the bright sunlight scorching in my eyes. It was just a dream, just a dream.

Sli! You ok.... I swear I could hear you screaming,Esperanza said while swallowed with worry.
Esperanza, do not worry it was just another crazy dream, I responded to her trying to relieve the worry in her mind.
Then she smiled, it seemed to wipe away the visions that came into my head. Esperanza was a girl, basically around the same age as me. We were both around 18, but on the other hand she was the complete opposite from my personality.
What about your dream, tell me about what happened?, she asked with a questioning voice.
Nightmare, I responded with a harsh tone. I corrected her and turned to the walls in an instance. For moments I could hear the sound of the ocean waves crashing down, it disturbed me. I could sense the piercing sorrow in her eyes, as her soul drifted. I could not explain to her, it would just cause more pain....
Trying to erase the deep silence in room she said, Well Breakfast is ready; Uncle Yjemyi cooked the fried fish fresh. Better eat it before it disappears! Do not be a slowpoke! You know it is his special dish and your favorite. She winked at me and ran off to the distance, quite strange. Outside, more waves crashed and the sounds of the birds in the sky brought lyrical notes to the surroundings. This place I lived in was so beautiful, so separated from the distressed world. Mystery Island was my home; I could never leave thinking on a previous diversion that came inside of me.
A person yelled, Sli!It was Es of course, she is the only person with a voice like that. Finally I subjected to her calls, and ran off in the distance, trying to fade away the visions clouding me.
----
So kids what's up today in this fine day! Isn't my food delicious? It tastes like when old auntie Dora made it. Tasted like it came from Neopian heaven. I swear I could taste the salty dips and the fish dips in her recipe of fish. Auntie Dora was quite a quaint woman....
I stared at this old man that was my foster father, with amazement. He was the kind of man of when you talked to him he would never stop. Es and I, my nickname for Esperanza, promised one day when we were kids to see how long he could talk, thinking it would be the world wide record. One day he went on for 40 minutes strait. He was an old yurble native from the Mystery Island ,and took me both and Es in as kids. This did erase some of the sorrow away from...Anyway, Auntie Dora was quite special woman. What am I rambling for, ha ha. What are your plans today?
At a instance, Es jumped in excitedly, stating her mischief.Well actually I am going to continue trying to find a pretty ship to adventure in! You know Uncle Yjemyi, how a much better world is out there. Chow chow! Swallowing in an second all her food like a snake, she looked at me for encouragement, and then took my arm with force. Well better go now Yjemyio! Lets go exploring Sli! What would happen next, would change my life.
---
Waves crashed and I could hear their empty echoing, silent echoes piercing to last longer. Outside, I could also sense the movement of the palm trees moving in a slow lyrical motion. Mystery Island was a place of tradition and tranquility; the people here were a nature people using the resources around them for the food and the home. But why was I dragged outside anyway?
Es's yell interrupted my thoughts. Sli! Wont you listen for once. She gave me an evil stare, what was I going to do? At that moment, we were in our secret tree hide out near the Shore of Mystery Island, It was not the prettiest little hut, but as children we were crazy with plans needed to be performed. I do have to admit, Es was guilty for most of the sneaky ideas. We counted the hut made out of dead sticks as a secret base for when making her plans. To her and I when we were young, it was the ultimate hideout.
All right I am listening, fetch up on your plans
, I blurted out.
Well guess what is happening today?, she excitably stammered out. She grinned like the world was lit up, her smile seemed to wipe away misery.
Not very excited I said, What? I do not feel like guessing...
Hey, don't be so monotone Slir. Anyway this will make you jump for joy! I heard it from Kiniz, that old crazy Island Kyrii Mystic. I know he's crazy but anyway he told me that soon they going to have some trading boats arrive here! Like today! Hear that! We can go and ask one of the captains to take us as fellow crew members, or explorers or traders! I hear those boats are full of people who visit the up and downs of Neopia. Oh imagine, that sounds wonderful, their life of theirs. Lets go explore the outside world, it will be exciting and I can show you my home. Also, you can show me yours. She ended her sentence with a lump in her throat. I turned away, ignoring her instead listening to the trees. Silent echoes. She looked filled with distress, no I never would tell her.
Trying to end the silence again she said,Oh that does not matter, seeing our homes, bet they are messy as ever. Ha. Come on lets take an adventure, ride a ship, get out this island, please.
Trying to end the silence, I replied, Well if that is the case, why are we not packing and planning?

She seemed ecstatic and stammered,Oh my wave! Really!!! Lets go! Lets go!!! To old Yjemyio, lets get packed. Get ready for the adventure of your life Sli!
Adventure of my life?
, I said with a unsure voice.
Of course! Let me explain my greatest plan yet Sli!
Chapter 2- The Festival of Cries and Happiness
Two Hours Later On Junit 10th 5012
At that moment, Es and I were still in our old hideout above the sea, and I was listening to her eager rants and yells that seemed to tower above the highest levels of excitement a person could be at. It looked as if she was a time bomb waiting to explode till all her excitement popped like a balloon flying in the sky. If that happened, the result would be frightening .
Are you not excited or what!? I feel this is the turn point of our lives. Only fifteen more minutes till our rising climax happens. Oh I can feel it!
,she yelled with a sound that I think even the old deaf Tianto could hear . I heard the oceans crackle with hysteria.
Tired of listening to her joyous outbursts I inquired, Anyway, we are going to see your parents right and where do they live anyway? I am sure they are just about as crazy as you.
Suddenly, the leaves stopped moving and I swear I could hear the air hiss. For the first time, she looked to the ground with no expression in her eyes but instead an empty stare. The air hissed again, what could be wrong with her? I could not even sense her emotions, and I knew something obscure was lurking in her, a fact that I could feel was knotted in wounds. For moments, the minutes drifted as heavy bricks in my stomach, but luckily I could soon hear the chirping of birds again.
Anyway Slieur, look it is time, lets go to our fate!
, she said with a feeling of a renewal. I followed her into the dark starry night.
--
Bump. Thump. Bump. I felt my heart starting to ache, beating with slow anxious movements, worried about the mysterious intertwining fate that would occur tonight. As Es and I took closer and nearer steps to the trader's festival my heart leaped in great strides where the huge beasts of wood, the ships, would make a foundation, and stage an entrance. With the anxious feelings, my eyes drifted on the ground, too afraid to glance up at the nearby event, but then the sun began to set with motions that seemed to employ pure beauty. Restless questions entered my mind as if the light from above was inquiring my mind. I wondered if actually I would leave the home that I lived in for years? Would my life all change? Would my future lead to a different path? Would I finally feel true happiness? These annoying thoughts bothered me ruining the sunset's tranquility, so I decided to just head out to harbor, waiting for the arrival. Without knowing I blurted out, I am ready for the risks.
Taken back by what I said, Es stated,What are you talking about Sli, and you called me crazy! Isn't the sky beautiful? I feel like it is a display of art trying to lure us out into the ocean. It is our calling…. Suddenly she was interrupted by voices and cheers in the nearby harbor that anxiously were looking into the distance for the arrival of the outside world.
Oh I am so excited Lily, the ships are coming, the ships are coming!, I heard from one young techno .
Another old man whispered about how some boats came I want more of that mainland Neopitia food. Joan you know they make the best cranberry sauce there, it is delicious! Finally, everyone silenced, and there was no sound in the room except the echoes of the ocean. A distant shadow came closer and closer. A grand ship called the Amelia arrived, and everyone waiting was speechless with no words to say.

Hehehe!
