Welcome to my page guest! My name is Skyiamine, I am a cloud Ixi. I am 50115 hours old. I used to be a blue shoyru until a morphing potion turned me into an ixi. I own a little Ghostkerchief called Spookli and you will usually find him floating by my side, or he has gone off to play at the deserted fairground and steal ghostkecheif sandwiches from the Spooky Food store! I have read 30 books so I am obviously very smart. I know alot about Neopets so me and aliaflamez created this page on how to make a blog! ![]() FAQ about Blogs What is a blog? A blog can either be: a small journal on the web, or an image with scrolling text over the top. A blog is made up of an image and a div element (Specifies a container that renders HTML). The div element used in a blog is a text block that you specify the size and when you type enough text the box will scroll. For a good example of a blog highlight the following text and paste in your browser: Help! I made a blog and it looks fine in my browser, but a double image comes up in another browser! The is probably because the browser you usually use is probably older than the other so recheck your width and height values and make sure they dont go over the width/height of your image. What is the beginning of the code that goes over the image with all the text? Its called the div. The div creates a box the size you have specified and will scroll if lots of text is put in. Using the positioning the div is placed over the image and Viola! you have a blog. What Programs are used to make blogs? You just really need an image program. I recomend Adobe Photoshop (but you have to pay to get it) or Paint Shop Pro, highlight and paste the following link and you'll be able to download a free trial: So really, any image editing program is great, make sure you can have opacity brushes, fills or shapes. I have Paint Shop Pro, how do you make blogs on it? All you need to do is make an image similar to the one in the tutorial - then follow the steps from there. Any other questions? I am not prepared to answer any more questions, but you can neomail me - make sure the subject is "I read the FAQ" else I will not answer your questions. ![]() Firstly, find an image you want. It would be best to start off with one from neopets but when you get more advanced, you can make images yourself. We'll take this image to use for our blog: ![]() You can crop it if you like but for this one we wont really be needing to. We'll make a border for it and create a nice opaque square for our text to go in. In adobe photoshop you should select the square icon (right column, third from bottom) select the square or rounded square option, set opacity to 90% for a light color or 80/70/60% for a darker colour. You should be able to see dark/light text on the colour you have chosen. ![]() You can put a border on if you choose, it makes it look nice. The picture above is a guide to what your picture should (kind of) look like. Then, save your picture and upload it to the web, is a site that hosts your images for free and neopets displays these images. Now we have created a table with the image as a background. We haven't added any rows or cells yet, so we should do so. Now we'lll add the div: Now all you need to do is change the values of the tr's and td's and the div. Firstly, decide how many pixels your div is going to be in height and in width and change it to the suitable number. Then ONLY change the td height and the td width to the suitable number of pixels. Your finished one should be something like this: This is what the blog should look (a little bit) like:
![]() Voila! You have made your first blog! Experiment with different images and include them on your own pet's page! I, Skyiamine would really love it if you linked to me so please highlight the text below and paste it on your own webpage or shop description:
