Night Sky
Next World: Terror Mountain
I was practically born in the sky.
 |
From the moment I was born the wings on my back stretched out and I flew into the clouds, at that moment I knew I was home. I flew all over the Endless Plains before I decided I wanted to see the world! Now, the world is much more dangerous than anything in the Endless Plains, so I decided to find what some neopets call an "Owner". They were beings of a different world teleported here by some mysterious magic to live in our world. |
The world today has many big cities populated with these beings. It was the only way to do it safely, and if I wanted to go do most things without being of age, I needed an owner. So off I went to something called "The Adoption Agency" to put myself up for adoption. The nice Uni told me only owners could put someone up for adoption. She directed me to a building marked "CAP" if I wanted an owner.
| The people there told me I could get an owner but I would need to be reverted back to an egg. Well, I wasn't that old to begin with so I agreed and was once again in an egg. I am not sure how long I was in there, but eventually I was warmed and I was finally able to come back out. I couldn't help it, I spread my wings and shot into the air, it felt so good to be free again. Then I saw the being that was to be my owner. She smiled and said her name was boopdoop, she was interesting. |
 |
I told her of my dream, and she agreed to explore the world with me. Since then we have traveled to many places together.

10,000 feet above Neopia sits a cloud, a gigantic cloud stretching tens of miles in each direction. Resting on the cloud it is a vast city that has been home to the Faeries of Neopia for as long as anybody can remember... Faerieland! ~From the Official Faerieland Page.
The sky of Faerieland is very interesting, seeing as how it IS in the sky. A city on a cloud is the coolest thing since sliced bread! So, since it is technically in the sky, I will only cover Faerieland's sky.
Faerieland is said to have the busiest skies of the whole world! The amount of things flying through the air is astounding. The idea of a city in the clouds has drawn many a flier seeking to explore the vast sky above their heads. Even non-fliers wish to spend a day lazing on a cloud and watching the busy streets of Faerie City.
Just look up and see the many faerie racers racing around many obstacles, or watch the napping pets count in their nightmares. Why the very beings who live there fly high and low at their leisure.

Home to the faeries, the city has become one of the top tourist traps in all of Neopia. Over the years it has become not only a sanctuary in time of need, but a favorite vacation spot. The appeal of the clouds and faeries, plus all the activities that have sprung up, it has become one of the most popular places in all of Neopia!
The many shops, games, quests, and complete randomness has appealed to the Neopian population for years.

Inside the City
Welcome to Faerieland city centre. There are lots of interesting places to find here, including games, shops and an employment agency! Why not look around and see what you can find? ~From the Official Faerie City Page.
With so much to do in Faerieland, it's impossibly busy night and day. With no doubt, home to the most magical beings in neopia, this land is ranked number one in most polls! If you wish to read more about Faeries and Faerieland, look up both words in the Neopedia and Neopian Times!

This sacred place has been hidden for thousands of years, or at least as long as anyone can remember. ~From the Official Lost Desert Page.
The sky of the Lost Desert is always one of two things. It is either so sunny not one cloud is to be seen, or it's so bleak it can rain for days without any recourse. So behold the most clear and violent weather of the neopian world.
Blistering heat for most of the year, the Lost Desert is known for it's heat-waves. That's not to say this vast desert gets no rain. In fact when it rains it pours, lasting up to a week at some times. This happens very rarely and usually only five to six times a year.
Though not the ideal place for someone painted Ice, it's a great place to fly. Nothing is ever in your way and the desert goes on for miles. Racing, practicing your loops and tricks, or just an extended flight, the Lost Desert is there to accommodate you.

If your a land walker, or are just tired from all the flying the Lost Desert offers a wide range of things to do and most of all, buy. Sakhmet has one of the most extensive bazaars known to Neopia. Just down the Nile is Qasala, which also offers a nice bazaar. With two cities dedicated to selling, it's a shoppers heaven.
If you get tired or want to see a most spectacular view, I suggest flying or climbing up the great pyramid. The top cap stone is both beautiful and high up. The air is thin, so be careful not to faint from the lack of oxygen.

Inside Sakhmet & Qasala With so much business going on, the inside of the cities are packed with buyers. If you don't plan on standing in any lines, flying is the fastest way to travel. Though a favorite for fliers everywhere the city skies are surprisingly empty.
There is so much to do in the Lost Desert you will probably end up staying at a hotel. I suggest the Blooming Lotus. Fairly cheap and clean of sand for those of you who can't sleep in it. Adventure awaits you in the Lost Desert. Try typing in the words Desert, Sakhmet, and Qasala in the search bars of the Neopian Times and the Neopedia to read all about other people's adventures!

Roo Island is a small island off the coast of Neopia Central. It is inhabited mostly by, yes, you guessed it - Blumaroos. These fun-loving Neopets can always be seen bouncing around with a smile on their face, and if your King was a gentle soul who loved playing games, and made every day a holiday, you'd be smiling too! ~From the Official Roo Island Page.
This is the most famous kite flying place in Neopia. There are few trees, and the ocean's winds are perfect for gliding. Home to the Blumaroos, they have a ledgendary hospitality to visitors. Their Merry Go Round is a thing of history.
It's an ideal place to live if you plan on flying all over the world. It has easy access to most of the main lands. Boats to the islands and lakes. Take a ride on the rainbow express if you want to get to Neopia. It's an entertaining and educational ride, kids would especially like it.
Just like any world renowned place, this one is haunted. The witnesses report a shadowy creature with a cape and fangs. Locals call him Count Von Roo and claim he's an immortal vampire preying on the innocent after dark. He's been spotted on numorus occations around midnight. The locals also say if you catch him in a good mood, he'll challenge you to a deadly game of dice.
The Blumaroo themed furnature is a hit and sold internationally. Many homes feature a lamp or couch shaped like our favorite neopet. It's cheap and comfortable. What more could you want? If that's not enough, the coloring book stand has been made a hit. Now even the littlest of neopets can enjoy coloring some Blumaroos!
So go color, shop, and play at Roo Island today!

The population isn't too large and the tourism is low. Mostly kids or young adults visit. The only remotely busy thing is the Merry Go Round as it's the only one in Neopia. If you want to learn more about Roo Island or Blumaroos, look up both words in the Neopedia and Neopian Times!

Welcome to Mystery Island, a tropical island hundreds of miles from just about everywhere. You're a guest, so don't make the natives angry! ~From the Official Mystery Island Page.
Being an island, one can either swim, boat, or fly there. Be ready for a long trip. Mystery Island is remote and at least eighty miles from any shore. The small random rocks sticking up out of the ocean are good resting spots. Make sure to take advantage, one never knows how far the next will be. Other than the long haul, it's a prime spot for water and aerial tricks. Just watch out for the trees.
For a remote island, it's actually pretty populated. It has an extensive city and many things happen here. As it's surrounded by the ocean this island has become the trading post of Neopia. Everyone from all around Neopia comes here to trade their wares.
Because of the traffic coming through many have decided to locate themselves here. Other natives have also decided to come into the world. The Tiki Tack man who runs Tombola and his souvenir shop only speaks some of our language. His native tongue is however undecipherable, as scientists have been trying to make heads or tails of it for years. One thing he will tell you is Beware the Natives. With good reason too; they have very big spears.

All sorts of people come for many different things. Training is a big thing on the island. Helping the cook find ingredients, or go fishing for petpets, it's a utopia of things to do. Ask the Mystic about your fortune or get a haiku. It's almost limitless. Other than the ground and sea, it's not the most ideal place to live if you like to fly. It's a great place to visit, but the weather is not too fly friendly.
Once every month there is a small hurricane. During winter, they get big. Not to mention the heavy rains and big waves. Surfer's paradise, but not for a flier. It's a good idea to check the forecast before going. If your planning on doing tricks or exploring the island, a nice warm day is the best.

Inside Geraptiku On the northern shores of Mystery Island lay the ruins of the Lost City of Geraptiku. Recently discovered by some very curious Neopian archeologists, Geraptiku is an interesting place to explore... if you're brave enough to venture inside. ~From the Official Geraptiku Page.
Mystery Island is packed with people. It's a wonderful place! Play in the beach, go shopping, play games, or go on a very cool tour! The natives are so secretive any you see in town have masks. No one knows what they look like. To read more about the mysterious island, try typing in the words Island, Geraptiku, or Mystery in the search bars of the Neopian Times and the Neopedia!
