The Ancient City of Geraptiku

The ancient land of what was Geraptiku wasn't always this dismal and desolate. It actually used to be quite a thriving city back in the old days. There were various markets and stalls, plenty of food, and a lot of citizens who roamed the land searching for their place in the world. The natives were happy with their way of life. Back then it seemed like everything was almost perfect. The inhabitants didn't know that behind the scenes something sinister was lurking ... it was waiting for the perfect time to strike. An ancient god, which is way older than Neopia itself, watched over the city. No one knew much about the old god but they did happen to offer him gifts inside the temple. Maybe that is why there are strange objects often found inside the Deserted Tomb by brave tourists ...

Atop the giant temple, there is a circular stone object. The natives gave it the name "kalahnto", which can be translated into the word judgement. No one is exactly sure how this stone object was created or even when. One thing they do know is that nothing good has ever come of this stone. Perhaps if the inhabitants paid more attention maybe Geraptiku would still exist. But because of their low intellect, the ancient city fell to the old god who deemed it no longer worthy to exist.

There are still many questions about why Geraptiku became cursed. However, not very many Neopians will even think to question this statement. It seems that all of the citizens of Mystery Island want nothing to do with the ruins. Everyone is deathly afraid of the curse that enveloped that region of the island.

The Story of Sinsaesis: Dark Shaman of Geraptiku

While there are many rumors about Geraptiku, one of them is currently being challenged. The citizens of Mystery Island claim that no one survived the annihilation of the ancient tomb. Could they really be right about that, if no one ever dared to check around the creepy ruins? Well, as it turns out right now, there is one survivor of the disaster. A Transparent Bori now makes this region her home and will do everything she can to keep those pesky archeologists out!

Sinaesis was born at an altar in the ruins. This altar is known to only a rare few of Neopians. The name is the "Altar of the Dead." Its said to be a place where those who have passed on can be resurrected. Basically a place where, if someone is desperate enough, they can be given a second chance. However, if they do get reincarnated, they have a high chance of being something completely different. In order to perform the ritual, an object of the deceased must be placed on the altar.

It is currently unknown as to who was the one that brought Sinaesis to life. Whether it was the old god or not, she doesn't even bother to question her existence. As far as she can remember, this Transparent Bori has always lived in the ancient city of Geraptiku. Sinaesis spends most of her time wondering the lost city. she is always looking for relics to add to her collection. Either that or she is searching for flowers to create potions with.

Every now and then, she encounters someone who is brave enough to trespass in her home. Unfortunately for those tourists, they do not make it back to the rest of Neopia ...

Krazil, a Dark Minion of the Lost City

The Lizark is native to the Lost City. This creepy looking lizard has always existed and roamed the land there. Many Neopets claim that this creature is cursed and warn others to just stay away from it. That's why most of them lurk the jungle and not many are found around the world of Neopia. Because of this stigma, they are not often welcomed anywhere.

For as long as Krazil can remember, he has always been with Sinaesis. The two of them have been together for many years and he trusts her completely. He is always trying to find food and other items that they might need. Most of the time he is looking for various objects for their rituals or summoning spells.

A Poem for the Lost City

Old ancient land of Geraptiku
Oh, how Mystery Island has forgotten you
Judged by the spirit's light
Gone in a single night

May some day you rise again
So Neopia may see what once have been

Will be working on this poem more!
