MUCH love and many thanks to Hikaru for the bestowal of this award!

A rustle of leaves soon turns into a flurry of them, as a xweetok runs through, gathering speed. She flips gracefully forward, front paws landing on a dead long as she performs a near-perfect front hand spring, back paws hitting the sand as she breaks free from the tropical forest and onto the beach. A tropical wibreth flies over her head watching as the xweetok turns back around and runs at a tree, running partway up it and flipping back around, leg kicking some fruit off of the tree. She goes forward a little on the landing so as to catch the fruit and settles down - time for refreshments, and then, more practice.

I suppose if you are reading this, you are presumably Laska. In the event that you are not, then welcome to my application for the lovely Chloe anyway. My apps tend to be rather long-winded, so I hope that I do not bore you, no matter if you're Laska or someone else, with length. I hope you enjoy my application!

Updates!

(Recording of updates started on 8/18/07)

I prefer not to start an application without first making brief introductions... or quite possibly not so brief. My name is Kathrya Meer, I am an aspiring artist, a role player, and the third council member of the guild The Xweetok Forest. For a while, as you may or may not know I have been eying Chloe's name for the simple reason that it is absolutely amazing, and nothing short of fantastic (Laska, you seriously have talent for getting insanely amazing names). I have been playing neopets for... a long time. At least three years, but for the exact month you'd need to check my account moyer900135. (Putting the exact month up I thought was kind of silly, since it might change between the time I write this and the time you see it.) Over that time, I have never been frozen, nor self-froze an account. Most of my pets are role play pets, or fosters - for a more exact recount then you should check this page, which is reasonably up-to-date. This page will tell you my fosters-to-be, and as you can see I've finally started out fostering.

Though you already know me a little bit, Laska, because of my application for Truth, I do not think that there is too much more needed to be added. At any rate, let us progress to the much more interesting bit of the application - the parts about Chloe. Note: Though at first I was thinking of creating her as a draik, Chloe managed to pop into my head as a xweetok. (She refused to change species/character from there, so I let her be. XD;; )

You may want to browse about my accounts, so here they are:

I remembered your questionaire you had those applying for Truth fill out, and found that you put the questions up for Wrath's adoption process as well. So, Laska, I decided I'd fill them out again, in case you've had trouble keeping track of all the applicaints of all the pets you've put UFA. Feel free to skip to the next section if you don't want to read the answers again. Of course, some of the answers have changed since I last filled this out. I snatched the questions from old rounds on apps for Wrath, and I'm fairly certain I have each of the questions here.

Your name?
As I said before, I prefer to go by Kathrya Meer on the internet. My real name I don't give out to many, though I'm about 80% sure I told you.

Your age?
This is something I prefer not to give out, wait, not true. I prefer to keep track of who knows it - i.e. not putting it up on a public web page. If you remember my age from my application for Truth, add one. If not, just neomail me for it.

Your occupation?
I have a "job" at the horse barn I ride at. Due to labor laws, I don't get paid and it's not an offical job, but once I'm done riding my pony I help the barn staff sweep, muck out stalls, etc. Sometimes I help my trainer out by acting as jump crew when she has a lesson. (That means setting jumps for her, or if a horse knocks down a poll putting it back up - that sort of thing.) I'm also an armature artist, every now and then I'll take a commission from a real life friend.

How long you been playing Neo?
I've been playing neo for... an eternity it feels like. The exact amount in months (at the time of witting) is about 51 months. Which would be about four-and-a-quarter years.

Do you visit any neo fan sites like neocolours, jellyneo, neopound?
Yes, I go on neopound quite a bit now, and recently got an account on it. I remeber how much you wanted me to join back when I was applying for Truth, and I've heard nothing but good things about the site so I went ahead and took your advice.

How do you earn your NP?
I earn my neopoints mainly by playing games, and I used to do sponser links until they were removed. I sell junk at my horribly-organized donation shop as well.

What do you spend your time on neo doing?
I'm allways lurking my guild, TXF (the xweetok forest), if I'm online_ Recently I was chosen by Hikaru to take her place as third on the council, hence why I keep an eye on the guild even more now than before. Other than that and playing games, I try to make petpages for my pets. They take several months to complete, and I used to have more completed (Casieopia and HimekoNayotake once had full petpages), but then some of my pets were revamped due to having stale, chliche personalities - in other words, I was no longer able to connect to them.

What are your neogoals?
First and foremost, I aim to re-paint Truth. That was a promise I made to myself when she was first adopted, and why I have refrained from purchasing Chloe items. Please don't see this as a lack of affection, but I promised she'd be re-painted. Seeing as I don't earn neopoints very fast, and when I spend a little bit, I end up spending more than I mean to, I haven't spent any. My others goals consist of (provided I adopt Chloe) zapping her to either of the two combinations I have in mind for her, buying Riza, painting Riza, buying Sieo a Ukali, and buying Vietarent's petpet Tropica an island petpet paint brush. It'll be a while before I complete these goals, but I think I've made a good start.

What things do you do outside of Neo?
Outside of neo, I'm rather busy. I draw (almost 24/7) and my subject matter tends to be either plants or one of my characters. As well as attending school, I horse-back ride, and work at the barn I ride at. Then there's the usual routine homework, and spending hours talking to my friends - both internet and real life. On the internet but outside of neo I have an account on deviantart, and also use photoshop a lot to color pictures. I admin the TXF oekaki as well (the other place I allways have a tab at). I also love playing games such as Pokemon (yes I'm a proud pokemon nerd), animal crossing, various James Bond games, Guild Wars, and many others. (If I listed them all, I might send you to sleep, Laska.)

Do you ever let neo interfere with your work?
Yes, I do, every tuesday. (I have a bunch of personal reasons for this, contact me if you'd like to know why, but this is another thing I'd rather not everyone know.) Other than tuesdays, I put my schoolwork and other RL things before computer (well, I put neo before schoolwork, but my Mom dosen't agree with me there).

Your favourite petpets?
My favorite petpet is the alabriss, hooves down (please excuse the horrible pun). However, the Juma, Delphin, and Weewoo are very close behind.

Your favourite colour?
I assume you mean neo color by this. BUT, me being me, I automatically think plain old color. So, Laska, you get both answers. My favorite plain old color is purple (it ROCKS). As for neo color... I don't really have one. Before, I would have said maraquan and faerie pets tend to look good all-around, but since the revamp I haven't been able to examine the pixels. Anyway, I prefer to create a character and then match a color to him or her, not choose a color and create a design for it. Color dosen't matter too much to me, though in the end I'd like to be able to have colors match my pets' designs.

What are your dream pets?
Oh dear, this is actually a hard question. Er, the short answer is any pet that goes along with a character I've created. Like I said before, I don't have any specific pet goals, but if a pet matched up with a character of mine, then it falls into the 'dream pet' catagory. So, I suppose a pink or island xweetok, and a faerie or baby xweetok both work. Every now and again I want a draik, but that's a passing fancy, and I doubt that qualifies as a dream pet. However, if a draik character ever sticks in my mind, then a draik will be a dream pet.

Chloe is an escaped slave from a fruit plantation on Mystery Island. She is rarely serious, and mostly fearless having spent most of her younger life up in high trees climbing for fruit. A rather determined character, it is rare to see her back down on a dare, and Chloe is always attempting to choose her own path in life, sometimes a little unwilling to accept help - especially from males. She has one quote that often comes up, and tends to thoroughly describe her feelings on the matter, "I can handle myself, no need for some random guy to dote on me. Or anyone else for that matter." Like all pets do, Chloe has her faults. Sometimes is less-than-honest, and can show unwillingness that is almost cowardice at times as well (she hasn't felt fear, so it's not true cowardice. Stubbornness is a part of it, as Chloe tends to be rather stubborn at times too.). She risks her neck on a daily basis for no reason it seems, but when asked to may choose not to, for the simple reason that she feels ordered about. Chloe's life as a slave left a mark on her in that way, though she has a habit of forgetting that section of her past and focusing on the more favorable side of her past experiences. Her father is unknown, but her mother was one of the main slaves in the kitchen. Chloe is an only child, but after her mother's death in a freak accident on the plantation as well as the selling of her best friend, life as a slave became unbearable for her and she decided it was time to leave.

Name: Chloe Saori Akuume
Pronounciation: Ka-low-ee Say-or-ree Ah-coo-mae
Gender: Female
Clan: Sorin Aventi
Age: 19
Color: Will be island or pink
Personality: stubborn, cheeky, willful
Status: Single
Family: Deceased
Element: Earth

Chloe possesses some rather simple abilities, though they are probably at least somewhat noteworthy. First off, there are several points that are more abilities than actual powers. Chloe has amazing balance, is very flexible, and is also rather strong - all of which are direct products of the years spent tree climbing and fruit picking on the plantation. These talents were combined by her in a simple goal, and Chloe is a quite adept acrobat, using her skills in spars with friends so as to keep from becoming out of practice. Her powers, from a magic point of view, are fairly simple as well. Chloe can manipulate plants, flowers to be more exact such as roses and flowering trees/vines. Though her powers are simple, they appropriately accent Chloe's tropical background.

Now, before I proceed further, I am sure you are wondering exactly why I chose to apply for Chloe - or quite probably have figure out why. The answer is pretty obvious, and it is a simple reason: her name. Chloe's name is pretty, simple, pronounceable, and a "real" name. My choice to apply for her, much like with Truth, has nothing at all to do with color or species because, as you can probably tell, I don't plan to keep her an electric acara (I'm not particularly fond of the species). The other reason is the character that goes along with Chloe, who I've become addicted to, and am enjoying trying out in minor and more major role plays. She has some rather interesting things planned for her future in role play, should I be chosen as her owner. Aside from those, I feel that I am capable of being a good owner for her: giving her a petpage, look-up, playing with her, and other such duties that owners should attend to.

As I have already stated some of my plans for Chloe, you may find this section a little redundant. However, it is best that I lay all my plans out for inspection. First and foremost, my plans for Chloe revolve around Role Playing. Several such plans include her escape from the fruit plantation that she resides as a slave at, becoming a member of Kolh's pirate crew, participating in a plot revolving mainly around Vita, the ship's quartermaster, and even taking part in a huge tournament hosted by the Harlequin and Valhalla. (Regrettably, the page with Harlequin information has been taken down to make way for an application.)

Outside of Role Play, I have several plans for Chloe. As you well know, I am currently saving for a faerie paint brush for Truth - hence the lack of many items and whatnot for Chloe. The reason for this is simple: I promised myself that I would re-paint Truth before spending more money, and so far I've made pretty good on that promise. Recently, I've been setting aside half of my earnings, and have therefore managed to afford Riza, so that Chloe shall not be lonely. Granted, I'm not as close as I would like to be to my Truth goal, but still, I always try to keep my promises. Hopefully you can understand that. What I CAN guarantee for her morphing/painting wise is that she will become a island or pink xweetok one day. I have the lab map, so while I'm saving for Truth Chloe will be subjected to labbing in hopes of being able to get her one of those two forms. She will also receive Riza, a faerie wibreth.

What I can guarantee will happen immediately is that Chloe will receive a petpage and look-up. I have already been out and about trying to snag customs for her, and you can be sure plenty of link trades will be made to get her "known" and her petpage visited. Chloe will be doted on in that aspect, and drawn frequently. The lab ray is not on my main account, so Chloe will not be entered into the beauty contest for a while, but once one of my zapping goals is realized or I have saved enough to morph and paint her she will come to live with me on my main account and afterwards I plan to enter her in the BC.

That brings me to where she will go. She will go on my secondary account, cat_crazed13, but she will go on that account until she is either zapped one of those two species/color combinations, or I have earned enough to paint and morph her. Do not worry she will be neglected because she is going to be a "lab rat" she will be visited each day without fail. Chloe will reside on my main account, alongside Truth, Sieo, and a third undecided pet.

Although Chloe will be RPed primaraly as Quad, she does also have an Anthro form. You can see my drawing/design for Chloe's anthro in the art section.

These are my plans for Chloe, but before you get too bored with the application bits, lets refocus on Chloe's character.

Riza is Chloe's petpet, a tropical wibreth, slightly different than the common rainbow wibreth. First off, Riza has special tail feathers that have been adapted for better flight, and also her species of tropical wibreth has developed wings as well as several bulbs coming off of her forehead. She is the only tropical wibreth in existence, as her species is almost extinct.

Chloe's constant companion, the wibreth has been with her for as long as she can remember, and separating the two is often difficult. The fastest way to rub Chloe the wrong way is by in some way harming Riza who is like a little sister to Chloe. Though she cannot speak the same language as neopets, Riza tends to get her point across easily with a variety of clicks, whistles, and other such bird calls.

These are a few nnc's (non-created-characters) who are part of Chloe's past. Some of them may one day appear in her role play life, though most probably will stay in her past. However, they allow a little insight into what Chloe's life as a slave was.

Margina
Chloe's best friend, Margina is a lupe who worked on the plantation along with Chloe. A few years before Chloe's escape, she was sold to another plantation and since that the two haven't seen each other. Margina worked squeezing the fruit into juice, and was in the same slave living quarters as Chloe. The two have known each other ever since they were about three, and grew up largely together. Margina is more a sister to Chloe than a friend.

Ralin
A not-so-kind-hearted grarrl, Ralin is the overseer for all of the slaves, who live in constant fear of him. He is known to give out whipping for no reason, and take away meals if a slave isn't working hard enough to fit his needs. He is the pet of the humans who own the plantation, hence the high status. When bored, Ralin was known to fight with some of the slaves.

Marinna
Marinna is Ralin's sister, a gelert of exceptional beauty. She alone has voice when it comes to getting her brother to do something, and often chose Chloe as a personal escort when she decided to walk about the grounds. She is somewhat pleasant to the slaves - so long as they "mind their place".

Keyila
Perhaps the most important person of Chloe's past is Keyila. Her mother and caretaker, Keyila was a quite xweetok who always seemed to have the answer for Chloe. She was the one who taught Chloe acrobatics, as well as simple medicine and other skills. Keyila died when trying to stop a fight between two slaves, and ended up being pushed off a nearby cliff by accident while trying to separate the pair. Her death was especially tragic because it was on Chloe's birthday as well. It was Keyila's death that motivated Chloe to escape, and several months after Keyila's death Chloe left the plantation.

Kolh: Kolh is the captain of the Last Resort, which is the pirate ship Chloe stumbled upon and joined. Chloe doesn't particularly like him. In fact she holds little to no respect for the male, thinking he broods too much. The result is the pair hardly exchange two words, especially since Chloe takes most of her orders from Vita. Kolh has never even spoken to her directly, and Chloe prefers it that way - it may be a sore test for Chloe when she finally receives an order from him. Especially since she used to be a slave, Chloe is touchy about taking orders, and though some she has enough respect for to obey, Kolh is another matter. However, like the rest of the crew, she would fight beside Kolh - after all "we can't exactly GO anywhere with our captain chopped up.

Vita: Vita is the quartermaster of the ship. Unlike with Kolh, Chloe respects Vita highly, though she isn't deathly loyal. She admires the Shoyru's commanding ability, but Chloe would still be fine doing her own thing. Vita is also something of a mentor to Chloe, as she has been teaching the xweetok how to care for the sails, a duty shared with Al. Vita also has shown Chloe a few other things about caring for the ship.

Meteoroid "Teo: Teo is the first of Chloe's two close friends on the Last Resort. When she first got on the ship, he was one of the few on her side - in other words, didn't particularly want her chucked overboard. The two grew closer afterwards too, and when her own chores are done, Chloe often helps out Teo or her other close friend, Eori. Teo is one of the few on the ship that Chloe would fight with without an argument or even a second thought. He is both the Master Gunner on the Last Resort, as well as the First Mate.

Albredos "Al: Al is the boatswain, and the person that Chloe works with on the ship. The pair started off stormy, when Riza ate one of his butterflies, but eventually the pair resorted to grudging neutrality. Chloe tends to ignore him, thinking Al a jerk - but that has much more to do with his threatening to Riza than anything else. Chloe finds him irking and lazy, though she admits that his butterflies are both necessary and helpful.

Rantao "Ran: The cook and carpenter of the Last Resort, Chloe doesn't talk to him much. Mostly because their stations do not include the other at all, though she is amiable enough when conversing with Ran. Chloe finds him funny, especially because his gender changes when water is poured over him.

Xeori "Eori: Eori is Chloe's other close friend on the ship, she views him as her best friend. The pair often go off the ship together to explore the places that they land in, and get into a bit of trouble on the side. Chloe often protects him when they get into scrapes, and the two are fast friends. He, however, is more kindly disposed to the rest of the ship than Chloe. That has more to do with the fact that from an early age, Chloe was taught not to get too attached to many people, because they will leave her eventually - either in the form of being sold, moving to another part of the plantation, or dieing. With Eori Chloe is oft quick with a joke, and tends to tease him quite a bit.

Pike: Pike is the cabin boy, and the youngest member of the crew, being only seven. He's often scurrying about the ship, and Chloe occasionally talks with him, but not often. She doesn't know very much about him, though she unconsciously keeps an eye out for him, having a natural tendency to watch out for the younger neopets.

As you can see, I've already started to Role Play Chloe, to help me define her character more. Here is a role play sample, this is her first RP in which she escapes the Plantation and joins Kolh's pirate ship. It's a rather long RP, just a warning.

Pink -- Myself {Kathrya}

Grey -- Hikaru

Blue -- Zyo

Brown -- Diane

Light Blue -- Shomaru

Chloe's feet padded easily on the tropical grass, taking the off-road route on purpose. The setting sun let off enough light to barely see as the xweetok practically flew down the hill, heading into the outskirts of the forest and dodging trees somewhere along the famous beach on Mystery Island that constantly attracted tourists - or so it seemed. At any rate, it was deserted as the xweetok continued to worm her way through the forest, ignoring the shouts of the small mob behind her screaming "Catch that slave!" at the top of their lungs. She was grinning slightly despite the seriousness of this, her escape hadn't been timed perfectly it seemed, one of the sentries had been awake and seen her as she had run from the fruit plantation. Ah well, she knew this place better than her pursuers at least.

There was another near by sitting under one of the many trees. He looked strangely like a bori, but was nearly half the size of a normal bori. On top of his head was a pair of goggles and his long hair was half falling over his eyes. Down his back was a stripe of fur that went from the back of his neck and all the way down to the tip of his long skinny tail. He picked up a fruit and poked it with one of his large claws which easily broke through the fruit as he drank the juice from the hole, enjoying the quiet around him.

That quiet was soon shattered as a brown and pink xweetok flipped smoothly over him, hardly pausing a beat. Well, that wasn't exactly the quiet-shattering movement so much as a rather large set of noise in the distance accented with torches that you could see barely through the trees. Landing, Chloe turned to the other "I went that way." She whispered, pointing in one direction, and then hurrying off in the other, obviously asking the bori to misdirect the mob. She was starting to tire, but continued running at full speed, eyes narrowed now - not in laughter. Chloe flipped herself into a dense tree to rest, climbing with a practiced air and hiding in the foliage. The leader of the mob soon came up to the bori, a buff grarrl. "Did you see a xweetok come by here? Which way did she go?" He asked gruffly, and the mob behind him shifted in discontent, mostly made up of shadowy figures.

The bori watched her go saying nothing confused. When the mob showed up he stood looking up at the leader. He was quite small, looking like a small bori cub but in fact he was full grown, his size was more of a large Xweetok then a bori. "Who?" The bori asked confused "Its really rude to come up to someone asking demands" He said simply.

The grarrl leered at the other one, and moved back his fist, but a gelert appeared alongside him. "Come n, she'll be halfway to the docks by now." She said, nodding and the grarrl nodded reluctantly, moving off. Not, however, without sending a kick at the other's head and from there not paying attention as to what happened. The mob hardly separated as it ran straight at the bori, sometimes other parted around him, and sometimes they attempted to run the other over. Chloe tensed in the foliage, spotting the torches coming her way. She curled her tail up against herself, as if trying to make herself smaller, and acting as if this was a simple game of hide-and-go-seek.

The bori quickly brought his arms up to cover his head from the kick but with the large size difference he was forced back flying as he his a tree hard yelping in pain. He stayed where he was for a moment in pain but slowly stood looking at the mob. Quickly he turned to the tree and climbed it, a extremely odd thing to see a bori do, and so easily. By taking to the trees he was able to jump from one to another till he was ahead of the mob. Stopping in a high tree he grabbed some large fruits, including some coconuts and threw them right at the grarrl and any others close behind him, using the heaviest and hardest fruit at the grarrl. His throws seemed right on target, and where quite fast and strong as they shot at the mob.

The grarrl was tempted to turn around and butcher the bori for that, but the course of the mob kept the motion moving forward. Chloe was motionless in silent planning as the mob neared the tree that she was hiding in. However, a chirping from the other direction turned the mob. "That was defiantly Riza..." The gelert said, nodding to the grarrl overseer. The mob changed course, but discontent rippled through the crowd as the sun went down. Enough was voiced that the grarrl finally led them home, probably to face discipline himself before continuing the search tomorrow. Chloe grinned from her hiding spot, superstitious lot, that one. Being in the woods at night was probably too scary. She gave a low whistle when the crowd had gone so that even the light of the torches wasn't able to be seen and a small bird flew over to her. "Nice work, Riza." Chloe commented, and the little bird puffed itself up with importance. Easily and quietly, Chloe dropped out of the tree, letting her eyes adjust to the darkness. Now she just needed to get to the docks and stow away on a boat... which was easier said than done.

The bori watched from the tree sighing a little as he sat. His back was badly bruised from the hit and was in a lot of pain but just ignored it for the most part as he finally and slowly climbed down the tree his claws digging into the bark of the tree easily giving him quite a good grip. As his feel landed back on solid ground he looked around for the xweetok from before, his lime green eyes scanning the area as they began to adjust to the darkness.

Chloe fell into a crouched position, catching sight of the bori. Had one been too thick-headed to leave? She asked herself, nodding for Riza to go scout ahead. The bird flew forward circling his head once and Chloe rolled her eyes. Subtly wasn't one of the bird's characteristics at the moment, but if Riza was being so open, it would be alright, right? She ran to a tree and jumped up into it, looking down at the strange bori half-hidden. Riza let out a few chirping noises to signal it was okay, and flew up to her mistress, who was watching the bori with an air of complete unconcern.

The bori noticed the bird not seeming to care at all about it as he looked around a bit before sitting with a sigh and wincing as he moved, that kick had ended up doing a fair bit of damage to the small bori. He looked around a little more from where he sat, not thinking to look above as his ear's twitched a little hearing the bird but paid no attention to it, a bird was a bird.

Chloe smiled to herself, shrugged, and hopped out of the tree. "Hey... HEY!" She called, Riza flying and landing smoothly on the xweetok's shoulder. "You didn't tell them where I went, did you?" She asked, figuring if they'd almost gone to her tree he must have. Or something along those lines, it didn't matter too much really.

The bori blinked looking towards the xweetok when he heard her and he shook his head a little "Nope, why would I?" He asked casually "And why would you ask a total stranger to lie for you? Doesn't that seem kind of stupid?" He asked looking at her and wondering why exactly they where chasing her.

Risks are fun. Anyway, better I give a total stranger direction than taking the chance they blindly give me away, eh?" She said, grinning, Riza chirping agreement from Chloe's shoulder. "Anyway, wouldn't chucking random fruits at a mob seem stupid?" Chloe retorted cheekily.

The bori shrugged "Better to try that then get kicked again by that big idiot and possibly gain broken bones the next time then just a painful back" He explained looking at the xweetok then the bird.

Eh, well, true. Nice shot, by the way, too bad I didn't get the chance to chuck fruit at him." She said wistfully, "What's your name anyway? And know of any boats leaving tomorrow out of this place?" Chloe asked, intent suddenly, a slight shift in character.

Eori" The bori said simply watching her for a moment "Why would you ask something like that?" He asked confused.

She sighed, "Because I wanted to leave of course. Anyway, do you know or not?" Chloe asked - the night was going by faster now it seemed and she needed to get out of here fast.

Eori shrugged as he walked past her towards the docks "Won't know till you go and check right?" He asked looking back at her "Come on, I'll help you look.

Chloe shrugged, "Yeah, okay then." She said, skipping along and apparently light-hearted despite the fact she'd just been chased by a mob. It was almost as if the xweetok had purposely forgotten about that little detail as well as whatever else her past life had brought. Or it could have been the night playing tricks on others. She scampered up to a list of destinations, and randomly selected one - ship number 568, leaving early tomorrow. The destination was too dark for Chloe to be able to adequately see, but she at least found the ship, within reach and with plenty of spots to stow away. Chloe grinned, good. "Well, I'll just use this one." She said to Eori. "Thanks, and bye I guess." Riza chirped her own goodbye and Chloe stood there awkwardly for a moment. So, time to go. Right. She swung herself onto a rope holding the ship on and peered back over the deck at her ex-home, grinning. So, she'd wanted adventure. Looks like it was about to be found.

Eori watched her silently for a minute seeming to ponder something "Hey, mind if I come with you?" He asked curiously. He had been on the island for years...and had really wanted to leave and go other places for a while...he did like the island...but he wanted to travel more...What was good being free if you stayed in one place for ever?

Chloe folded her arms and inspected him from the ship. She had accepted his help earlier simply because she figured that it would be polite. Riza chirped loudly in Chloe's ear and the xweetok almost fell over, "Alright, alright!" She muttered to the bird, before addressing Eori again. "Sure, your choice." She said, before scampering down, inspecting the ship and settling herself in a dark corner on deck, behind a few barrels. Seemed good a spot as any other, and Chloe leaned back against the railing, Riza hopping into the rigging and staying perched there. The sun was starting to come up now, so it seemed they were all just in time to avoid any prying eyes.

Eori easily climbed up onto the ship looking around before he found a place to hide, a little ways off from Chloe but he was still in sight of her hiding place at least as he squeezed in behind a few boxes, for once happy about his small size, as he laid down best he could and his tail went around his body to try and make sure he was completely out of sight.

There wasn't much that they could do now, but wait. The sun was up and the harbor was starting to bustle, but shade was cast over both of the hiding places, and Chloe soon started to drop off to sleep, Riza having flown up into the crows nest.

Eori just relaxed laying his head down on his large clawed paws. He wasn't tired at all but made sure not to move. Not only not to be found, but moving to much just made his back hurt more.

With early morning sun Kolh and his crew were up and about, checking everything before they left the harbor. Kolh was itching to be away, their smuggling had gone perfectly thanks to Vita's skills but he didn't want to stay any longer than necessary for fear of seeing Hotategai Basket. "Rise and shine, you dupes, I want us out of the bay before mid morning!" He shouted before going up on deck, adjusting his captain's hat as he inhaled the fresh morning air.

Naturally, Albredos was perched on the tip of the crows nest, meditating and letting some of his butterflies lazily flap around him. He didn't even flinch as he heard the echo of Kolh's bellow from below decks, though his ear did twitch a little. Pike was a little less awake than Al--alright, he was a lot less awake, and when Kolh bellowed he grimaced, burying his face deeper into his master's mane. Maybe if he ignored him long enough he'd go away. Ha. Right. If he had been more awake, he would have realized that it wasn't likely.

Chloe was still fast asleep, but Riza was wide awake and watching the butterflies with a hungry gleam in her eyes. She swooped forward and catching one, before landing once again on her perch, watching the crew as she munched happily, and keeping an eye out for anyone who might venture near Chloe's hiding spot.

Eori's ear twitched very slightly as he heard the yell but he didn't move besides that not wanting to be caught.

Teo groaned in his sleep at Kolh's cry. The captain may be an adolescent still in many ways but he was an early riser. Teo wasn't. Rolling out of bed (and over Pike) he fell to the floor on all fours, eyes opening lazily as he yawned widely. Vita sat on her bunk, tying her bandanna over her hair, and making sure her clothing was adjusted, then she looked over at Teo, rolling her eyes. "Come on, there's a lot to do if we're gonna be out of here on the captain's timing." She said, eyeing Shu as she got to her feet, kicking Teo into motion in front of her.

Shu lumbered awake, rolling his shoulders and yawning hugely. He shot a glance at the others, before shrugging and stalking up to the deck. He was ready to get work done. Albredos merely opened a single eye at the near-sacrilege,"...be thankful I don't feel like explaining the reasons behind making the crows nest explode again, else you might be in an uncomfortable position.

Riza gulped the last bit down, and cocked her head to the side looking at Al with unconcern. It had tasted good, and Riza was none too picky about her meals. Chloe shifted in her sleep, foot kicking a small barrel over, which jerked the xweetok awake. It hadn't made much noise, but it was now rolling across the deck. She swore softly and neatly in her head, tensed and ready in case someone came over for investigation.

Eori heard the barrel fall, being not to far off from Chloe as he bit his lip, that wasn't good...He kept completely still though not making a sound and hoping what happened would go unnoticed.

Kolh had been tapping his foot, back to the barrel so he didn't hear anything.

However, Teo spotted the renegade as he walked up on deck and was quickly at it's side in one long elastic stride, catching it and putting it back where it belonged. "Hum hum..." Teo mumbled as he secured the cargo, and looked around, spotting Chloe behind the barrels as he did so, but saying nothing. Vita blinked, looking over at Teo as she clambered up behind Kolh.

Chloe's eyes met his, and she tensed, ready to attack, run, or simply do nothing, whatever the situation needed. Riza squawked, and flew down landing on Chloe's shoulder and practically taking Kolh's hat off as she flew over it. "Stupid bird!" Chloe muttered to Riza affectionately, and avoided glancing at Eori and possibly giving him away.

Eori held his breath watching silently from between two of the boxes he was hiding behind, petpets seemed to be nothing but trouble...and he was glad he didn' have one.

...Since you also dislike it, can I kill it?" Albredos asked flatly, as he jumped silently down. A few of his butterflies wings grew to buffer his fall, and he landed soundlessly beside Chloe. It was rare that his voice held any emotion, but occasionally he let his body language be more easily read. To those who knew him, they'd be able to tell that he was mildly eager to kill that bird. Pike moaned as Teo fell over him, pouting at the loss of body heat before scrubbing at his eyes and grumpily trotting after his master. Shu merely chuckled softly, rolling his eyes as he noticed the kit emerge from below.

Ah well, guess the girl *wanted* to be found. Teo thought to himself, as he grabbed Chloe by the scruff of the neck and pulled her out from behind the barrels (and away from Al.) "Captain, I think we have an aspiring pirate who wants to join us~" He said swiveling around to present Kolh with Chloe. Vita was undoing the moorings and checking the sails, only looking sideways to see what was going on deck. "Shu, get those sails open!" She ordered, pointing up at the closed sails.

Kolh had ducked when the bird tried to relieve him of his hat, and he turned with a scowl to see what was happening. "What??" He regarded Chloe and the bird, frowning. "She looks more like a potential stowaway than a pirate." He remarked. "Just throw her out, and get on with work." He waved his hand dismissively.

Eori watched in shock not knowing what to do...should he try and help the girl? No...that would get them both kicked off...but why the heck did she pick a PIRATE SHIP to get onto anyways...?! Great...he kept still and hidden watching with worry...not good...not good...He kept telling himself as he held his breath not wanting to be found to.

No, you may not kill *her*." Chloe glared at Al, seeing how... eager he was looking at Riza, and really not minding be pulled farther away from him. She moved her paw up to her shoulder, ignoring the fact she had just been pulled up to her feet, and Riza hopped on it. With a swift movement, she raised her paw fast, tossing Riza up into the air, who promptly flew around them, circling the three from the air. Excreting on both of their heads was an idea going through Riza's mind. "I'm not /that/ easy to get rid of." She said, addressing Kolh, surprisingly calm for the moment. "Soo, pirate ship?" In her mind Chloe was already judging the footing and other obstacles, marking off where she'd be able to best handspring, parts that cartwheels should not be, and all the time conveniently forgetting about Eori for the moment so as not to give him away. If worst came to worst, she had an idea of how to stay on, depending of course, if pirates listened to deals. She watched a slight gold glint from Riza, that was hidden by feathers again. Chloe at least had a way to tempt him into accepting.

No problem," Shu mock saluted as he we went on his way to ready the sails. Pike was swabbing the deck away in record time, but unfortunately, couldn't stop in time and ended up tail over paw into a pile of boxes with a surprised yelp. When had *they* been moved there? he griped. "Hmm."Albredos lazily followed Riza's movements, and let a butterfly waft out from under his cloak. It stiffened and sharpened, becoming one of his notorious 'butterfly knives' and he gripped it, wondering just how much trouble he'd get in for throwing it at the meddlesome bird.

Eori was still watching silently and had just enough time to cover his head with his paws as he felt the boxes fall on top of him ANNOYING BRAT! He yelled in his mind as he tried to keep still as much as possible, but you could see some movement from under the fallen boxes.

Teo hummed, lifting her off the ground and turning to the edge of the ship, holding her over the water. "You sure Captain? If we did that after my little slip she could alert the marine about us and they'll come chasing us..." He said idly, looking rather fondly at Chloe. "Pike! I'd rather less speed and more precision!" Vita turned to the slave and the boxes. "Get those boxes back in order!

Kolh twitched, turning back to Teo. "You idiot!" Teo shrugged. "So do I let go?" He loosened his grip on Chloe.

Yess'm! Pike is sorry for the--eh?" Pike blinked, as he had begun rearranging the boxes. Much to his surprise, he discovered something--or, rather, someone, that he was *sure* didn't belong with them. "Uhm, Vita? Pike found someone that Pike has never seen before...

Chloe nodded at Riza, who flew to the OTHER end of the ship from Al, staying calm with the loosening grip and judging how far she was from the edge of the ship. There was a rope tying them to the dock just in reach, and she could swim. Chloe let out a yawn, after grinning slightly at Teo who she judged was her best bet for not getting kicked off. "Wouldn't do very well for the mighty pirate captain to be in jail, now would it?" Chloe asked Kolh, with some form of mock innocence. She grimaced as Eori was found, and gave a shrill whistle, at which point Riza flew over and dropped something into Chloe's paw. Something that glinted gold for a few seconds as it fell... and hopefully interest the pirates somewhat.

Eori blinked looking at Pike and biting his lip min worry...great...Now what the heck was he going to do?! He was worried he would just end up getting attacked more then anything else...these where pirates after all...

Vita scowled, but unfastened the last mooring and pushing her foot against the harbor, sending the ship away from it as the sails opened, grasping the wind. Whatever they did with the two stowaways she wanted them far from port before they could give the alarm. Curse Teo and his loose mouth... she'd have to talk to him later about that. "Al steer her out of here, will you?" Pointing to Al, then to the wheel, she moved over to Pike, regarding the second stowaway. "So why exactly should we spare you two and not kill you and feed you to the sharks?" She spoke, as she studied Eori. Teo laughed at Chloe's demeanor. "Ya know, she's pretty haughty for someone dangling over the water." He remarked, eyes following the flash of gold.

Kolh felt about ready to throw them ALL overboard, but managed to hold his temper. "Ok, same question Vita asked the other kid to you." He pointed a black finger at Chloe.

Eori sighed a little, they had found him of course. He stood looking at Vita, trying to think of what to say. His tail curled around his back leg and his large ears where pinned back against his head. He looked up at her, think of something to say already! He told him self biting his lip. These where pirates...but he didn't exactly have anything to give them as a trade...and if they threw him over board...he was dead and knew it. "Um...Well...I..." He muttered not knowing what to say.

Well, I can swim, so it's not that big a deal and - oh sweet, sharks? Niiiiiiice. Heard if you punch them in the nose they do away." Chloe said, half to herself. "First off, because even if we're chucked overboard we'll probably survive, and then next place we go and everyone knows you guys are pirates. Secondly, because we can work - well, I can - and thirdly... but lets not go there." She looked at what she was holding meaningfully when she mentioned the third option, tossing it up, and letting Riza catch it. Upon catching it, Riza promptly flew higher and tucked it under her left wing with her beak. Chloe caught a glance of a green grarrl and blue gelert on the dock and frowned. "We may be going off, but hanging me out over the water isn't exactly... discreet." She eyed the pair, getting farther off, but it didn't take a genius to recognize those two.

But little one, being able to swim would do you no good were you unconscious when we tossed you off, hmm? And while you might have been able to fend off *one* shark, though I doubt it, if you hit the water bleeding you'll attract every shark within a few miles. Their scenting for blood is rather sharp, from what I hear," Al smiled, and though his garishly bright colors seemed to make him harmless at first, somehow he still managed to look intimidating; perhaps even more so *with* them than without, "If you wish to bargain with us, it'd be a good idea to try not to bully a bully, dear. Especially when it seems that you're running from something." He had followed her gaze, and trailed his look over in the direction she had, spotting the two that she had seemingly recognized, "After all, who would question us were we to merely hand in two stowaways to the authorities, rather than just toss you out, all piratey-like?

Kolh had been judging the possibility of keeping the two kids, he was still short of crew after all, but Al's idea seemed quite possible too. He motioned to Teo who swung Chloe back on board, though keeping a firm hand on her. "Right right, looks like some people have already come looking for you, so perhaps it'd be in our best interest to hand you over, sides, I doubt anyone would believe the ramblings of a kid about pirates when we're obviously just a small merchant ship from Shenkuu." He said, as he started for the wheel to take the ship back into port.

Chloe decided to ignore Al, aside from a short, "It's called debating." Then, Riza landing on her shoulder once more, she picked something out of a small pouch under Riza's left wing, and pulled its contents out, being careful not to show what she had, before picking out two things and depositing the last back into the pouch. "But what if I can pay for us?" She asked, showing two gold coins briefly, before balling her paw into a fist around them in case anyone decided they wanted to relive her of them. She'd done some.... "money management" in the main house several months ago, and they had suspected robbery. Originally, Chloe had kept them hidden and snuck on board because this was all she had money-wise for her entire trip to anywhere else. Still, if she couldn't at least get herself off the island, then there would be no point and Chloe knew rather than thought that if she was found then the punishment... it had happened on the plantation once before. She'd rather not be whipped till she bled and then left without any food or water for two days.

Eori looked at Chloe confused, why the heck was she acting so...CALM?! These where PIRATES they could just go ahead and kill them both easily...besides no one would come looking for him...at least on the island he knew that! Must be some of the ones who where chasing Chloe. He didn't know what to say at all, but he was ready if they did land to bolt and head for the trees. He listened silently...so she actually had a plan? But...he was worried that wouldn't work at all...

Al let out a raspy chuckle, "And dangling a prize in front of those who would sooner take it from you than compromise for our own convenience isn't wise, either," he pointed out, playing with the butterfly knife idly as he seemed to ponder how many cuts he could make before she'd notice the pain. Shu rolled his eyes; Al got *way* too into his intimidating bit, especially when he was offended. With the way he was leering at the bird nastily, the gender-confused xweetok deduced it was most likely the fault of the bird feasting on one of Al's little winged critters. Geez. Pike, meanwhile, turned back to swabbing the deck; Vita and the others had the situation well in hand, and he had chores to do. One might note, that his pace was significantly slower than what he started out with, but still rather quick overall. He didn't like being slow.

Kolh sighed, this was getting rather boring by now. He swerved the wheel and led them out of the harbor, sails catching stronger winds as they left the safety of calmer waters. "Ok you two, you have a minute to tell me why I'd rather keep you on board and not kill you, keep your scrawny coins and throw you overboard." He said with finality.

Eori bit his lip looking at Kolh then Chloe, he hadn't even known her for a day yet? What was he supposed to say?! "W...Well..." He muttered looking back at Kolh "I'm not sure about her...but I'm a good worker...And...Stronger then my size makes me look..." He muttered. Truth be told he had worked in mines for quite a few years...never a ship...but he would keep quiet about that.

Chloe's first instinct was to look at Eori and go, what was our reasoning again? But instead she headed for another route. "We can work well - well, I can at least. I can climb, keep my balance in almost the worst conditions... soo..." Here her mind worked furiously to think of something. "Provided Riza doesn't eat any more butterflies, we could probably work as crew for you pretty well with a little learning on our part." She said, at almost the same time as Eori, going with the first thing that she could come up with. Okay, so she hadn't wanted to escape work for work, but being on a ship and traveling the world sounded a lot more fun than being on a boring plantation. She was paying no attention to Al's attempts at scaring them, it was doubtful that Chloe even knew the meaning of that word.

Teo grinned, "I'd say that works, heck, from what I heard Al knew nothin' bout ships when *HE* stowed on board!" Vita rolled her eyes. Half the crew had joined as stowaways... ragged band of creeps...

Kolh sighed in mild defeat, "Fine then, but you two'd better work your keep or I'll throw you overboard when we're flying. See if swimming lessons help when we're soaring over Terror Mountain.

...if the bird eats another of my butterflies, I'll save us all the trouble of deciding and kill all three of you myself." Al promised promptly. Shu frowned, "We'll have to see just what you two are able to do; I don't see the harm of at least taking a look, eh, Kolh?" Pike finished the last of the deck, and zoomed back to Teo's side, finally taking a good look at Chloe.

Eori listened glancing at Al, what he gets punished to if the stupid bird does something...Well these where pirates after all... His tail wrapping around him a little and his ears still pinned back as he looked at the others. Now what? He asked himself having no idea what to do on a ship.

So, then can you let me go now please?" Chloe asked Teo, starting to get a crick in her neck, making it mildly uncomfortable. Riza gave a fast loud chirp at Al, to communicate she understood the message. "You stay away from Riza, she'll stay away from your butterflies." Chloe pointed out to Al, waiting for Kolh's reply to Shu. Show what they could do... like how so?

Teo grinned at Chloe, "So we finally get another girl! And a cute little one too!" He promptly engulfed the xweetok in a bear-hug, "Gotta looove the cuties~" He said. Vita rolled her eyes at Teo. She'd punched him overboard when he'd tried to do that to her. "Right then, let's get these boxes organized and clean below deck, Shu, we still need to work on the cannon flaps.

Kolh was silent as he looked out at the ocean, they'd made it from Altador to Mystery Island without any sign of Hota... he wondered when his luck would run out...

Ack!" Chloe exclaimed as Teo randomly hugged her, the air starting to be squeezed out of her. "Could... you... let go?" She gasped, deciding that it would be a BAD idea to try and kick a crewmember already, even if he was starting to crush the breath out of her. She concentrated on breathing for the moment rather than asking what she was supposed to do chore-wise.

Eori blinked looking at Teo confused, ok...that was weird... He then looked at Vita biting his lip a little "Um...What...do you want me to do...?

Pike, slippery as ever, zipped up and managed to somehow weasel poor Chloe out of the friendly chokehold, setting her down and giving his master a rather reproving stare. Shu gave a stately salute, "You bet!" and scampered off to do as asked. Albredos stared at the pair for one last lingering moment, before nodding, and flicked his wrist. This, consequently launched the blade into the air, where it flapped, and fluttered over to him a moment later.

Teo pouted as he was relieved of his new toy. "Aww, yer not gettin jealous on me are ye?" He promptly dove for Pike to grace him with a similar hug. Vita motioned to Eori and Chloe to come over. "Ok kids, names and what you were doing before deciding to escape Mystery Island.

Thanks." Chloe said to pike, rubbing her neck and working out the crick. She caught sight of Kolh, blinking. Brood-ish captain? Ah well, and headed over to Vita. "I was a slave on a fruit plantation... escaped last night, hence people looking for me. Not sure about Eori, I only met him last night anyway." Chloe said, deciding that since she was now no longer a slave (depending on how you looked at it) she may as well just say it, even though she preferred to forget that she had been a slave.

Eori walked over to Vita "X...Eori... Names Eori" He muttered. His tail twitched a little behind him as he glanced at Chloe then back at Vita "Lived on the island for a few years...decided to leave." He explained simply. "Don't have the money to travel the right way, and most would never hire me

Pike merely nodded with a happy smile, glad to no longer be the only young-ish one aboard... Al huffed, and without another word made his way effortlessly back to the crows nest. A few butterflies crept out, orbiting him lazily as he began to meditate again.

Vita hummed slightly, eyeing Eori. "No one would hire you because you're a hybrid? Well we're all freaks on board, with the exception of the captain, so you'll fit in nicely." She nodded, "Chloe, if you're good at climbing I'll put you in charge of sails maintenance and Crow's Nest, so Al doesn't spend all day daydreaming up there." She said in a business like tone. She turned, heading down into the hold, "Come along kids, I'll show you your bunks and the rest of the ship.

Eori winced a little looking down towards the ground and biting his lip. She hit the nail on the head there...He thought to himself...but hoped he wouldn't be referenced as a freak again. He quietly followed Vita deciding that it would be best to say nothing for now.

Captain seems a freak to me. Chloe though cheekily, with a grin. "Alright sounds fun." She said - Chloe at least enjoyed climbing and views. She followed Vita without objection, walking behind her and looking at the ship as they passed various parts of it.

Items for Chloe

Chloe has been running circles around my head lately, and I can't help doodling her as often as possible. Here are some drawings that I have done of Chloe, some are colored others are not, but she's so much fun to draw I can hardly help myself. These are all thumbnail size, don't forget to drag the picture into the URL to see full size!

Should I be chose to adopt Chloe, her petpage will host it's own adoptable - known as Squishy Adopts, because (I think) they look so plump and squshable. It will be a customs-only set, and here you can already see I've been filling some out for adoptable trades, so that Chloe will have adoptables right away if I am chosen.

I am proud to say my transfer history is very good. I have only lost one pet in transfer, due to my computer freezing at the last second. Other than that one bumble, I have never lost a pet in self-transfers or transfers with other people, so there is a large chance that if I am chose, Chloe will come over safely. I have MSN for the transfer as you well know.
