Welcome to the amazing website for the guild, blackbird!
We are a neo related sixteen plus, chat-based semi-literate guild! Our goal is to make you feel like blackbird is your home away from home. Our members are fairly mature and we understand that you have a life outside of neopets with things such as work and school! Our posting limit is fairly low, if you're going to be busy for a while all we ask is that you let us know ahead of time! We are a close-knit community and we'd love to see you enter our family!

Our requirements for joining are fairly low and we do make occasional exceptions to them. The only one we're fairly firm on is the age restriction.
Blackbird was founded on June 1st 2012 by Kitt and Olivia.

{ Rules }

Simple yet effective.

You must be respectful towards all members! If you are in conflict with someone/don't get along; Ignore each other. If it gets worse message a council member.
+ Please be at least semi-literate! We don't care if you use smilies in your typing, just please spell correctly!
+ Obey all other already in place neopet rules.
+ Save the drama for another day please.
+ No roleplaying please.
+ No mini-modding! Seriously. We have people as staff for a reason. Don't be that annoying person... please.
+ At least post one sentence for each message!
+ Have fun! Seriously! We don't have many rules because we want our community to be more laid back!

Breaking of the rules
It's kind of hard to break our set in place rules, but if you do you'll get a warning (via neomail) and if you continue on breaking the rules you will be suspended or banned.
If you do get a warning please respond so we know you have received it! Thanks!

Now you're going places!

In order to rank up in blackbird you must meet all requirements needed for each rank. No exceptions, sorry!
Taking flight
+ Post 100 times
+ Get caught advertising
Soaring
+ Post 500 times
+ Get caught advertising three times
+ Get at least one person to apply to the guild (they don't have to get accepted.)
Dreaming
+ Post 3000 times
+ Contribute something to the guild. (font, graphics, host an activity etc.)
+ Get at least three people to apply to the guild (they don't have to get accepted.)
+ Get at least one person to join the guild and post at least an introduction.
Super mod
+ This rank is only awarded to certain members. We will announce when we're looking for mods next.

We do make exceptions. Neomail if you need one.

In order to get even considered to join blackbird you must meet these requirements. We do make occasional exceptions.

+ One painted/Limited edition pet
+ Readable/decent font
+ 16 years of age or older
+ Must be semi-literate
Also every member is required to post at least five posts a month. It's not much to ask, really! We understand if you're busy but at least come in and let us know what's happening.
If you will be gone for a long period of time add it to the guild calendar or message Olivia or Kitt.

{ Applying }

Submit all applications to either Olivia or Kitt.

Applying to join blackbird is fairly easy, Just neomail this application to either Kitt (rockxguitar) or Olivia (lolliepop10011) You may apply on a board if we have one currently open! We prefer if it's done that way so we can have a chance to chat with you.
Our only "guidelines" before you apply is that if you get denied to please not harass us about it. You may also apply once every two weeks if you were previously denied. (If you don't get an invite within two days you've probably been denied.)

Q: Have you ever turned someone down from joining?
A: Yes we have.
Q: I don't meet the avatar/pet requirement, can i still join?
A: We do make exceptions to this requirement, we only have this requirement to be sure that people who join care about their account.
Q: Why such a low posting limit?
A: We're mostly college/university students and some of us work! We have stuff to do offline!
Q: How active is the guild?
A: We're fairly active! There's usually one person online at all times of the day. It's always easy to follow and join in a conversation.
Q: Is your guild named after the Beatles song?
A: Yes!
