Now that she's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey, hey, hey
One warm summer night you decided to take a stroll. You walk outside the Inn you are staying at in Meridell and choose the road that leads out of the city. A bright, full moon shines above you. It's nearly midnight as you start your walk.
When you reach the edge of town you stop and look out into the distance. In front of you is a dirt path that cuts through a large field of long grass. In the distance, to your left, is a wood. The fireflies dotting the field mimic the stars above in the dark blue sky. You start walking as the moon lights your way.
As you walk, the path slowly gets closer toward the woods on your left. Soon the trees are so close to the path you could almost reach out and touch their trunks. The darkness looms just behind the first row of trees.
A twig snaps in the woods just a bit behind you. Your heart skips a beat and you stop as you try to glance behind you without moving your head. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Tricking yourself into thinking you imagined the noise, you decide to keep walking.
You again, hear a noise coming from the woods next to you. As you walk you listen closely: the sound of faint pawprints. Suddenly you hear a low growl and another snapping of a twig. You break off into a run. Your heart beats faster and faster in panic. The sound of the pawpads echos your footsteps. The creature is following you!
Suddenly you see a faint blue glow out of the corner of your eye and a yelp comes from the creature. The footsteps stop, but you keep running farther and farther... You break from the path and start running in the grassy field. After few minutes you slow down to a jog and then a walk. You pause and put your hands on your knees to catch your breath.
You look up and notice a flickering blue light in the distance a head of you. Curious, you walk toward the inviting glow.
When you approach the light you discover it is a blue fire burning on a patch of dirt. The fuel for the fire doesn't seem to be be wood, but rather some sort of a round rock. You notice, as you get closer, that the fire isn't giving off warmth, but rather a damp coolness. Hot from running and because it seems harmless enough so you decide to sit down and rest by the fire.
Your eyes soon grow heavy and you nod off to sleep . . .

When you open your eyes, your vision is engulfed in the dark blue of the sky and the brilliant white of the stars above you. The faint blue glow of the fire comes from your right. You turn your head towards the fire and see . . . that it is looking at you?
The ball of fire blinks at you a few times. Hey, it says quietly. It blinks at you a few more times.
Aw c'mon, Al. I told you not to wake our guest! a feminine voice says.
You look around for the source, but see nothing until . . . You notice, right behind the strange fire ball, a form is materializing. As the figure appears you see that it is an female Ixi. Her pelt is mainly a light pink and blue fire markings strike up her leg. Her front hair on her head is long and a blue streak runs through it. A silver choker is around her neck, and chains are latched around her legs.
As you are studying this Ixi you notice something strange. There are times when you can see right through her to the ground and grass behind her. A ghost! You jump and try to get up and run away.
Wait! the doe calls, It's not safe out there. You'd be better staying here where I can keep an eye on you easily.
You back sit down on the ground slowly. You're the one that saved me from the creature back there. . .
Yes, that was me. It seems a werelupe wanted to make you into dinner tonight. Not to worry, I was watching over that part of the woods and saw that you needed some help. Why don't you stay here until it gets light out? It will be much safer then. Here, I'll tell you a bit about myself while we're waiting . . .

Mossy's little sister is Xariiah. When we were all younger she used to go everywhere with him. He loves her so much; she's his only blood relative left after the Great Fire destroyed his tribe. She is blind and telepathic, so she needs some looking out for. She has started to use her powers, though, to "see" into people's minds. I still try to watch over her as well as Mossy. She's like a little sister to me. |

Yalup is half Kyrii and half Zafara. He has a brother, Zairjaii, and a sister, Zinger119 who are jut like him. All of them are currently at the Makfar Institute for the Gifted. Yalup is the oldest of the three and is the Battle Master at the school. He teaches the kids how to properly use their powers if attacked. I've visited the school when I was in my physical form, but haven't seen it in quite a while. |
