Sherrath is a young, bold character. She is somewhat short-tempered, sometimes letting it get the best of her in situations where it really shouldn't. She finds being a leader figure to be natural to her, as if it really is in her blood. Many find it easy to follow her and to believe her ideals - plus they like aleader who is always doing something. It is unnatural for Terra to lounge around and say, read. She is one of those impatient "leg-shakers" if you know what I mean :D She was taught to speak correctly, but it is easy for her to fall back on slang.
Terra does not believe in a cause unless she feels powerfully about it or she has sufficient enough proof to keep her determined. When she feels something, she feels it strongly, and when she speaks, she has no will to hold her tongue. She feels that what she says is true and what she does is right. Because she is such an intense person, she can be somewhat frightening, especially to children xD Terra finds that having the physical strength she does adds to her mental strength. If she did not have the confidence she did to do battle, than she might not have the confidence to be the person she truly is. She is so proud and confident in fact that she does not fear even Fyeha, the insane undead feline out to destroy... everything.
Terra may not be the kind of person who is always honest (she hides many aspects about herself that could show "weakness"), but many creatures find it easy to gather to her and follow her. She truly cares about the welfare of those loyal people, and she will stop at nothing to give them the rights and equality that they deserve. Sometimes though, her determination can cloud her judgment. While she is mostly analytical and observant, once she decides on something, it will take a strong force to convince her otherwise. Sometimes this can be a strength, but more so than not, it is a detriment.
She hides the part of herself that is actually quite feminine. She secretly loves the traditional dresses female warriors wear, getting her hair done, shiny things like jewelry, singing, and sweet foods (ironically, she hates fish xD). She is actually quite playful as well, but this would mean dropping her guard, which she opts not to do. When she and Lezylea were children, they used to constantly be at play - and Sherrath always won. However, she left the studying and reading to her brother.
Another interesting quirk of Terra's is that she sleeps with her shoes on - should she ever need to wake and run or fight.

Sherrath is a sharp contrast in appearance to her brother. While he bears lighter colors like white and sapphire, Terra is much darker. The majority of her fur is a light purple, but she has black stripes and patches of black dots. Her middle legs are a dark purple, and there are stripes of a lighter shade of dark purple separating the dark purple from the light purple. The fur on her belly is black.
As only royal felines have wings, hers are stronger in appearance than Lezylea's. Hers are thicker, and made of skin as opposed to Lezylea's semi-transparent, veiny wings. The underside of her wings are black, and the backside of her wings match the pattern on her legs. Her eyes are a deep crimson, contrasting Lezylea's sapphire tremendously.

Vahn is what the creatures of my world refer to as a "beast" (otherwise known as a petpet). In feline culture, warriors are all given a beast of their own in order to have some protection should they fail to carry out their task.
Therefore, Vahn was given to Sherrath when she was separated from her brother, and he has been devoted to her ever since that moment. Vahn is a beast intelligent enough to hold conversations with other, "higher" beings, and he always speaks what is on his mind, despite others thinking he is beneath them.
Terra, as a firm believer in equality (and also a secret lover of adorable things), encourages Vahn to speak his mind and his opinion, and it is an opinion that has stopped her from making many fatal errors either socially or on the battle field.
Without Vahn, Sherrath would not be who she is today. Without him, she might not even be alive, and she remembers this fact always.
I own a Faellie already, so it is just a matter of getting the black petpet paint brush :) Easy ♥ Don't worry about Chaos - I actually needed a black gallion to be Casaenova's petpet "Prima", so it would work out perfectly :D

Once upon a time, there was a set of twins, brother and sister, who were separated as children. One was raised as an heir, the other as a warrior. Sounds like a faerie tale, doesn't it? There is no reason to call it that.
It is customary in feline culture to raise women as hunters and warriors. Even before we were given intelligence, a male feline would have a "harem", a group of women to bear his children and continue his bloodline. These female cats also hunted, so that the male, despite being formidable and physically capable of defending himself, could stay out of possible danger.
The tradition never changed despite our gifted intelligence. Young girls and boys are separated and raised in drastically different environments. Most females are raised to hunt, kill, and care for children. Men tend to be raised as scholars, advisors, or tradesmen. The men from poor families or families with mixed blood are raised as warriors seperate from the women.
My brother and I were seperated at a young age. My earliest memories involve he and I at play. Naturally, I always beat him at rough play, but he was the one with the patience to study, to sit for hours on end and read. We were twins, but we fell back on our natural tendencies very easily. I wonder how different our lives could have been had we grown together?
I know nothing of my brother now, and he knows nothing of me. Perhaps that is what makes this easier for me.
In a one-on-one duel, I could easily kill him.

Sherrath.
It is the name I was given at the time of my birth. Sherrath was a male warrior of mixed blood who was so skilled, he was put in charge of protecting the feline king during the feline uprising. He single-handedly fought against ten dragons to protect his liege. He failed and died, but he is famous for his attempt, his courage, and his strength.
I am honored to hold this name. In his lifetime, he was an unfortunate man chosen by the king to not pass along his bloodline because it was mixed blood. Therefore, he was reared as a warrior much like most female felines. These details hold true to any male warrior, including the dreaded Fyeha of legend, who was not always filled with insanity and the desire to destroy.
This Lezylea, this pathetic brother of mine. He used to preach difference from the old ways but now he preaches nothing. He allows that disgusting Fyeha to follow him and push him into making all of his decisions. Lezylea is weak, and he would willingly march our race into death. He does not want to wage war against the oppressive dragons, he does not want to battle. He does not want to do anything other than sit in the ragged throne clinging to tradition and the crown. But he will be pushed into the war - he has not the will to oppose anything. And without determination, passion, or will, he will be pushed into the destruction of the entire colony.
I cannot let that happen. I must save the people from certain death. We must hit the dragons when they least expect it, not as a last option. The dragons are weak - their heir has disappeared and the king is going mad. Any leader, to save his people, would take advantage of this situation. We could have the crystal throne back.
I'm going to take it.

Sherrath is the leader of half of the divided feline colony. In the past, the felines had taken the throne from dragons, only to be destroyed and the survivors banished to the mountains. They suffer immense racial inequality at the bottom of the social ladder. They have isolated themself as much as they can, but the dragons are taking over even the mountains the felines were banished to, killing any felines who ar edefending their homes. Sherrath loathes her brother for seemingly ignoring this and letting his race be trampled upon. She has taken matters into her own hands and the feline population is now divided between the two of them.
She doesn't know the predicament Lezylea is in. He is being forced to rebel against the dragons' tyrannous rule when all he really wants is racial equality. He feels that in order for the feline ways to change, the world's views on them also have to change - which means that they can't repeat their past mistake of stealing the throne from the dragons. He is a man of knowledge, and she is a woman of action. Their ideals and personalities constantly clash.
Lezylea does not approve of the traditional feline ways and is searching for ways to change them, but he has his hands full with the inevitable war between felines and dragons, not to mention that he has to constantly look over his shoulder to see if his "bodyguard" is trying to kill him. He is secretly forming an alliance with the dragon prince who had seemingly disappeared - he will fight only when he is alongside this dragon who treats him as an equal. There are only two other felines who know this - his bodyguards Fyeha and Sammarai.
Had Sherrath grown up with her brother, she would know the kind of person he is, and she would know that however silently, he is workinbg diligently to bring about change. However, those very ways they are trying to change is what forced them apart in the first place.
Terra also finds out the truth about the man she is named after - he was victorious against the ten dragons... but he was not against Fyeha, who used the dragons to kill the feline king who had abandoned him to die. Fyeha killed the king's exhausted and wounded bodyguard and the king, convincing the entire world that the dragons had done so, for revenge and to cause further conflict and hatred.

In the future, Sherrath tries numerous times to get rid of her brother. He is well protected by Fyeha, an undead, insane feline that wants the Feline Rebellion to succeed, wants the dragons to fall, so that he himself can kill Lezylea and steal his newfound throne.
Sherrath is surprised when Fyeha suddenly approaches her. He asks for her help - to bring down Lezylea. They form an elaborate plan to destroy him after the dragons are wiped out. What they do not realize is that Lezylea has no intention to bring down the dragons.
When offered a seat as the feline representative in the rebelling dragon prince's future endeavors, Lezylea politely declines and tells the dragon prince that the responsibility would be better handled by his sister. He then releases Sammarai from duty as his guard, instead telling him that the new feline crown will be needing his help. He then breaks the news to Fyeha.
...needless to say, this comes as bad news to Fyeha, who knew that Lezylea did not want what was expected of him but had underestimated the prince's willpower - mistakenly believing that the prince would feel obligated to do what was expected of him. When he turns on Lezylea in his rage, he is also surprised to see that Lezylea can legitimately put up a fight.
And this is a secret, shhhhhhhh. Though Lezylea puts up an amazing and possibly epic (xD) fight, he is knocked unconscious by Fyeha. As Sammarai reports to Terra for duty, she realizes exactly what has happened and finally knows the kind of person her brother truly is. She and Sammarai move as swiftly as they can to Lezylea's location, and arrive just in time to see Fyeha poised to deliver his fatal blow.
Sammarai immediately moves to attack Fyeha, but Terra holds a hand out to stop him. Fyeha does not move.
He lunged forward.
Sherrath extended an arm, catching him in the center of his chest. He was confused, adrenaline flooding his veins as he struggled with the instinct to protect his former liege and the loyalty to his new one. He looked back and forth between the scene before them and the princess's profile.
But as the long seconds passed, the claws held before the prince's throat did not move. Sherrath's arm slowly fell, and a small smile set in her lips. "You can't kill him, can you?"
The claws stiffened slightly. "I can. I have the opportunity."
The smile grew somewhat. "But you won't. He acts in ways you can't expect."
The cursed feline did not move, did not seem to breathe. "I have never been fooled before. I am intrigued."
Sammarai relaxed his guard somewhat as he saw the fingers at the prince's neck loosen from their tense position. The woman next to him stepped forward. "Intrigued enough to stop you from killing him?"
The cursed creature pauses, silent for a moment before relaxing and standing up straight, peering down at the face of the prince. "...yes."
