Hey there, my name's Shep. I will also go by Shepper. I am named after Cimms' male dog, Shep. He's a Blue Heeler. I love both Jacky and Aimee. Jacky's my mate, and Aimee's my daughter. They're both beautiful Lupesses. I love running around in the deep snow when winter hits our woods. I find it very peaceful. I also love spending time with my friends and family.

**My artwork on this page is extremely old, along with the story. I'm not sure when I'll update, if I ever do. But I just noticed how horrible my reference of Shep is. XD Please bear with me and imagine a better image of him in your mind. :P

It was a cold and early winter morning. The falling snow was swirling around, reflecting the moonlight. The woodland ground was covered by a thick white blanket. All was still, save the tree branches snapping off, and the tiny trickle of moving water. Still water was frozen, hidden by the deep snow.
Inside a den lie a Lupess. A single cub was nestled against her warm belly, hiding in her thick soft fur. Both were asleep, but the mother's ears were always twitching, always on the lookout. The tiny cub gave a loud yawn, waking up his mother. She yawned, and checked on him. He started nursing, filling his hungry stomach. Not long after he began eating, did the father of the cub walk in with some prey for the Lupess. She licked his face, letting him know she was thankful for something to fill her hungry stomach. It was a harsh time for finding prey, as the snow not only made a great place for prey to hide, but it masked the scent.
By the time the Lupess had finished, her cub was already back to sleep. She let the father keep him warm while she stepped out to stretch. The Lupess wandered around their territory, and drank some water. After a bit, she wandered back into the den. The Lupe hurridly switched with her, as he wasn't quite used to lying in the den alone with the cub. After the Lupess got herself comfortable, the Lupe lie down beside her to sleep.
It wasn't long before the cub was old enough to exit the den. He enjoyed playing in the snow, especially sneaking up on a mouse or a shrew. But his parents were quick paced and agile, so he soon learned to keep up with them. As well, he quickly learned how to hunt from them. When he had the ability and form, he was able to catch a small snack for himself. Though he enjoyed spending time outside, it was still very cold and his premature coat wasn't thick enough yet to keep him warm for long. So after a while, he would make his way back for the den and wait for his parents' return.
Well, on an early and crisp morning, his parents prepared for hunting. The cub decided it was too cold for himself, so he curled up in the back of the den and took a nap. He awoke to a scuffling noise in the den. Thinking it was his parents, he let out a yawn. But a strange scent filled his nostrils, and instinctively he bared his fangs, rose his hackles, and let out a low growl. His growl was returned. Suddenly, the intruder jumped at him. The cub hit the ground hard. He looked up and saw that it was an adult Lupe. The cub snapped at the Lupe and got his nose. The Lupe jumped off and barked at the cub, smacking him against the wall. He yelped as he hit it. The cub was going to lunge at the large Lupe. As he did, he felt a sharp sting across his eye. He crashed and yelped, continuing to whine. He saw the large Lupe starting to advance on him before his eyelids closed. He could faintly hear snarling and growling. Then, blackness...
He awoke next to his mother's side. She was whining. The cub, too, began whining when he felt the pain that came from the intruder. But his mother's tail wagged when she saw that he was still alive. She gave whines and licked his face. He suffered from a large scratch across his eye and a broken front leg. When the father limped into the den with some food, he too gave his cub a few licks and snuggles. The Lupess let the cub have the first turn on the prey, and then took him outside for a drink.
After a while of love and care from his parents, the Lupe cub had recovered from his broken leg and scratch. Though the leg is fully healed, the scratch remains as a scar, a reminder of his survival of being attacked as a young one. Even though being limited to three legs was tough, it helped him build even more skill in balance, agility, and hunting abilities, as well as strength and endurance. From that encounter he was able to grow into a tough adult Lupe.
