As most people who travel neopia know, Draiks are not the most common species of pet and the most widely saught. Not many know that there are a plethora of different shapes and sizes of draik out there, each with their own personality. This little draik, one of the few small cute ones known, is a little on the hyper and childish side. She also isn't like other normal white draiks, Freesia is completely albino. Asside from the red in her eyes there isn't a scrap of color on her entire body and because of this her artistic abilities see her skin as a blank canvus! This is why she's often seen with different markings and colors of varrying kinds. Rarely is this little draik seen with absolutely no color.

New Home

This story's not a long one but you're probably all curious where I came from! Well... It all started when I was hatched (I think) and if I remember right I was born without wings! But when you're a hatchling you don't know it's strange to be born withou t wings so I never really learned how to fly. I can a little, just not very well. I was painted starry, or I was born starry I can't remember, and otherwise I was well taken care of. For a while, anyways.
For some reason my owner didn't come home for a looonnggg time and me and my siblings had to fend for ourselves. It was a good thing my one sister learned how to cook and go shopping, we might have starved! To keep myself busy I took up painting and drawing and found that it was really fun. Soon after that our owner finally came home and announced that things would change but didn't specify how.
Then my siblings started dissapearing! I have no idea where they went or where they are or who they're with but I hope they're alright. Then one day my owner comes up to me and takes me asside, telling me it was my turn to go to a better home where I would be taken care of. Of course I was scared, I didn't want to be taken from what siblings I had left and my owner. I was assured it would be a good home and that I would be happy with plenty of other pets to play with. I didn't really have a choice in the matter so I decided to try and look on the bright side of the move: meet new pets, get food regularly and probably prepared better, hopefully I'd have my own room. I ended up with all this a more.
Little did I know that I was going to live in a HUGE house with a big family and a loving owner and a GIANT YARD and the ocean a little bit away! My old owner was right, I did go to a good home! I even got a new color, but apparently it worked funny and now I'm a special albino draik. AND I HAVE WINGS! It's awesome to have wings because I'm small and couldn't reach the top shelves before and now I can reach everything! I love it here and I'm so happy and I get to paint whatever I want when I want and even on myself because I'm all white and kind of boring.

Sassafras

Under the doughnut patterned bed in the far right corner something sneezed. When you turn to look all you can see is a long, curly, rainbow tail similar to a gelert's. Confused you get down on your knees and take a look only to be greeted with a shriek of fear and the creature hiding deeper in the shadows.
That's Sassy, she's really shy and afraid of people. I wouldn't bother trying to get her if I were you, even though she doesn't bite. Sassy is a fast little critter when scared so catching her would be nearly impossible. Well, unless she's injured. Like when I first found her.
I found her in the forest around the neohome one morning when I went exploring. She had a torn wing and a spranged leg and was so pathetic when she tried to get away. Carmarillars aren't meant to scurry on the ground, you see, so even if she wasn't injured it still would have been kind of sad. Catching her was pretty easy but she screamed and squealed and squirmed and it tore her wing almost completely in two with the effort it took to hold her. She really didn't like the petpet carrier I had to keep her in while she healed either.
When her wing healed enough that it wouldn't fall off (I had to tape it back together for it to heal, it wasn't fun getting that off) I let her out of the cage. At first she ran under my bed and didn't come out for days and I had to leave my door closed so she didn't get out. I brought her food and water and a litter box and she lived fearfully under my bed. Until one night when I was sleeping I guess she decided she was cold or lonely and curled up next to my head against the pillow. When I woke up I was startled to see her there and in my initial surprise it scared her and back under the bed she went.
It would be a couple more days before she would come out again and let me pet her but as soon as I tried to pick her up she would freak out and hide again. It took FOREVER to get Sassy to trust me and she's still terrified of others, especially of Rawri and the other pets. She doesn't seem to mind Bea too much, though, which is good. Bea is a good little bunny.

Family

The little draik pulled a shoebox out from under the bed and opened it to reveal a bunch of black and white poloroids.
This is Mom, the one who didn't want her picture taken. She doesn't like photos first thing in the morning, it's funny. The babies are Bea and Rawri, they don't get along very well and no one really likes Rawri, she's a brat. And the invisible one over here is Eli, she's a vampire, that's why it only shows her clothes in the picture. The cybunny playing the guitar here is Des, she can be kind of mean so I took the picture without her knowing. Don't tell her I have it! Sleepy-head over here is Udoril. He sleeps a lot and doesn't do very much, I don't know why he doesn't find a hobby or something to keep him awake. And the ghostly blob here is Lucky. She doesn't live with us that I can tell but likes to haunt the attic. She's also a witch and apparently is really evil and crazy. I try to stay away from her...

Making Art

The first thing you want to do before making art is make sure you have all the supplies you need. Depending on what medium you want to use determines the different stuff you need and how big of a mess you're going to make.

Once you've decided on a medium, let's say paints, you better make sure you have everything you need to prevent a mess, accidents DO happen. Before you lay down your piece of paper put down bunch of news paper on your surface incase you run off the paper or it leaks through or you spill your paint. If your paint is really watery you might want to lay down a lot of layers so it doesn't mess up your Mom's table. Make sure you have towels on hand, not a new one, incase you do spill, paper towels will work too. Now that you have your area ready make sure you have your brushes!

Only don't use the magical kind, someone might miss it... The bristles should be soft and not hard and stuck together. When you rinse them out make sure you get out as much of the paint as you possibly can to lengthen the life of your brush. DON'T LEAVE THEM IN THE WATER this ruins the bristles and makes it reall y hard to use next time. If you're using colored pencils or just normal pencils, don't forget to keep it nice and sharp. It's always better to color or shade or however you're creating your art with pencil when they have a fine tip.

Make sure you dispose of your shavings, though, once they get into the carpet they won't every come back up. And if you're using crayons do not use a pencil sharpener to sharpen them with. A lot of large crayon boxes come with crayon sharpeners on the back, if you don't have one get parental concent to use a knife to sharpen them with.

Once you've got all your supplies just use your imagination! It's really easy to create a work of art if you put your heart into it, you can't spell 'heart' without 'art' y'know! Just have fun with it and make sure to clean up any mess you might make in the process.

Doughnuts

Dougnuts are the greatest food EVER created! I love the bakery kacheek guy for making such delectable desserts! (well, breakfast) I love all dougnuts, I don't discriminate. Cake doughnuts, filled doughnuts, sprinkles, chocolate, glazed, powdered, holes, they're all so yummy! Here's a list of some delightful doughnuts you can find at the bakery

NOT Doughnuts

Doughnut Fruit are NOT doughnuts! They are fruit, they grow in trees, and do not in any way taste like doughnuts (with a mild exception for the chocolate doughnutfruit). Doughnut Fruit are, as the name says, Doughnut SHAPED Fruit. I HATE these imposterous growths even though they're pretty tastey in their own way (if you like fruit).
