This was the story I entered for the pet spotlight. Too bad it didn't make it. I hope to type a new story for Serepity's page eventually.

Species: Hissi

Subspecies: Dragon

Status: Near extinction. Only one has been seen in Neopia.

When people think of a Hissi, normally a blue, green, yellow, or red, snake like thing with scaly or feathery wings comes to mind. Some may think of a purple darigan one, or one that is painted with bright pastel shades of lavender and pink with luminescent sparkling wings.

However, there was once a color unlike any other hissi kind. It was the dragon hissi. There used to be several of them in Neopia, but as other creatures came over and settled their neohomes, the dragon hissis had to fly away to find a new shelter. They are an ancient species, even older than the chomby. Unlike the chomby, they could not adapt to the hustle of the Neopia Central and the crowded shops flooding with eager customers.

So they all left, except for one. The other neopets or shops did not bother this one, Serepity. In fact, she decided to befriend a few. She made best friends with Donaldersink the bori. Both are cunning and love to play tricks on SgtBuzzard and BabyBrowns. Once they tied Sgt. Buzzard's tail feathers to a tree. They laughed as he squawked so loud. Another time they tried to paint him pink, but thankfully, the pant devil took it before they had a chance. Sgt. Buzzard was extremely thankful for that.

Needless to say, Serepity has found a great place to stay, and is very happy with Queenhoneyvel for providing her a nice shelter and three nice friends.
