Specialty scoops in depth

First off, the syrup coated scoops are helpful to you, because they give you extra points, but you do not need to touch them.. they will kill you just like normal scoops do. Some of the most helpful scoops, that are always recommended to grab, are the extra life, the cherry-topped, the shield, the fish, and the shrink scoops. It is generally not recommended that you grab the scoop that makes you bigger and the speed up scoop. The slow down scoop ought to be used only sparingly, because even though in early levels it may help you, it later levels it can actually make it harder because it will cause more scoops to be on screen at a time. Likewise the Strawberry Bomb ought to be used only sparingly if you are going for high points... because although it does clear the screen of scoops, you will not earn any points for those scoops. So use it only if you absolutely need to!

Additionally, the speed up and slow down scoops, and the shrink and grow scoops will work together. In other words you can shrink, then grab a slow down scoop, and you will remain small and the scoops will slow down. But, if you have shrunk, grown, slowed down, or sped up, and you grab any other scoop (like a life or shield) you will go back to normal size, with the scoops moving at a normal speed.

Some specialty scoops can be gotten multiple times in a row to your advantage! This primarily applies to the shrink scoop! If you get several of these in a row, you can end up being extremely tiny! The same thing applies to the scoop that makes you bigger, the speed up, and the slow down scoops. Although none of the latter three are recommended. Lastly, there is one more specialty scoop that is extremely rare and usually only shows up in the later levels. It has the head of The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy on it, and gives you an extra 1,000 points! So if you ever see it, grab it!

Additional Hints and Tips

On the screen in between levels you can type 'strawberryvanillachocolate' to gain an extra life! It can only be used once per game.

Also on the screen in between levels, if you let it sit for 3 minutes without doing anything, Adee the chia will turn into The Phantom Orange Shirt Guy! This has not been proven to actually do anything, but sometimes it appears to increase your luck in getting specialty scoops. At any rate, it's worth a try if you have the time!

While you are playing, never ever ever click your right mouse button! It will lead to an instant game over.

In general it is best to stay towards the middle of the screen as much as possible. It's very easy to get trapped if you stay towards the sides because you have fewer options of where to go.

I had a discussion with someone recently about what computer mouse I used as comparative to that other user. Apparently what mouse you have may help or hurt you while playing this game. If you are using a Laptop computer with only the finger pad mouse it may actually be much more difficult to play this game! You need to be able to move fast especially in later levels. I highly recommend having an actual computer mouse with a fairly high sensitivity. This way, in theory, you can do better if you have a slower reaction time.

The Avatar!

I'm sure there are plenty of you out trying to get this avatar! I'm happy to say I already have it, and that's probably what got most of you to come here! One thing is for sure this is no easy avatar to get! It will take lots of practice and patience. It took me about a month of really trying to get it, and I had always played the game a lot prior to then... so I was already fairly decent! All in all to get the avvie you must achieve a score of 14,500+! You will mostly likely need to get to at least the Rainbowberry level to achieve this score!

Now THAT is a lot of lives!

A Special Hint for the exceedingly daring (or desperate) avatar hunter:
The animated parts of Adee the Chia (namely her hands and feet) CAN
touch the ice cream scoops without harming you! This allows for an
extra few pixels worth of wiggle room.

Additional Info

Each level has only a certain number of scoops it will release.
It can go over that number, but usually only by a few scoops.
