Selenic opens her eyes, searching for her precious plushie. Selen is a plushie dragoye who was given to Selenic at birth. According to Selenic's mother, a magical spell was placed on the plushie, so it could talk and be a friend to Selenic. They both have a bracelet with a charm with S&S engraved in it.

Selenic's dark red eyes look around the surrounding, soaking in all the details. Selen is nowhere in sight, and her breathing becomes deeper and quicker, as she starts to panic. 'Where am I? Where is everyone? What's going on?! The questions rush through her brain without an answer.

Selenic closes her eyes and listens intently. She repeated the phrases to herself. 'I need to calm down. I'll figure this out.' As she calms down, she realizes she hears something. 'What is that? Sounds like water… where is it coming from?' She looks around her and figures out that there is a water source just beyond a patch of trees. She walks past the trees, hoping to find some answers to where she might be.

A beautiful grand river comes in view. Selenic edges closer and notices the wonderful clear water. The water was so clear; you could see the rocky floor below. Not a single creature swims in the water though. 'I wonder why…' Selenic moves closer to the water, drawn by the beauty and the strangeness of its lack of life.

-Gasp!- "Is that my reflection?! No way! I look so… different! I'm older, and bigger, and stronger, and… beautiful!" Selenic looks down at her unfamiliar new body. She has lean muscles with strange looking markings. Selenic traces one of the markings with her finger, when she noticed her wings. "Look at my wings! They are so big now! Oh my… I bet I can fly now!"

Her wings spread out as Selenic prepares for flight, when suddenly the bushes nearby begin to rustle noisily. Frozen with excitement and curiosity, Selenic stares at the bushes, frozen with excitement and curiosity. As she stares at the bush, a light blue hand is seen struggling to get through. After lots of struggling, the creature pops out of the bush and lands with a soft thud.

As the plushie dragoyle stands up to brush off the dirt, Selenic screams,Selen! There you are! What's going on!? How did we end up here!? Where is here? Where is everyone? Where did you go?! AH! I'm so confused!"

The plushie dragoyle finishes brushing off the dirt and stares at Selenic. "Selen? I'm sorry, but I don't know who Selen is, and actually, I don't know you either. My name is Zelina. As for where we are, it does not matter. We must leave. This place is dangerous!"

Selenic stares at Zelina confusedly. "Oh, I'm sorry Sel-, I mean Zelina. You just look so like her. You even have the same bracelet! See the charm bracelet? S&S!" Selenic shoves her wrist in Zelina's face, but suddenly realizes she's not wearing the bracelet. Selenic begins saying, "Hey! Where did my brac-" but she was interrupted by Zelina. "I'm sorry, but I'm not your pal Selen. I am Zelina. I had this bracelet for as long as I can remember, and it was from my grandmother. I've said this many times now, we should leave! Since you seem so intent on staying here, I guess this is goodbye. So long!"

Zelina starts walking away from Selenic grabs her arm and pleads, "Don't leave me! I have no idea what is going on! I just don't understand how this beautiful place can be dangerous! Yes, the quiet is disturbing, but silence is ok. Isn't it?"

Zelina begins walking again, but this time pulling Selenic along with her. She brings her back to the river shore and says, "No, it is not alright! There are no creatures around cause they are either dead or fled for safety. This place is not beautiful, but instead it is filthy. This place has been enchanted to trick pets into false sense of securities. Wash your face with the river water. It'll clear your eyes and allow you to see what's really here. Hurry though! If you want to stay with me, you must be quick."

Selenic eyes Zelina suspiciously and then the water. 'It looks clean. I don't see the harm in the water. What's up with Selen? She's definitely Selen. Why is she denying it? And if this place is so dangerous, why is she here in the first place? Oh well, I really have no choice but to just listen to her. She seems to know what's going on. Maybe I'll get my questions answered later.'

Expecting nothing to happen, Selenic bends down to cup the sparkling water in her hands. She splashes the water on her face, feeling quite stupid. For a moment nothing happens, and droplets of water block Selenic's eyes. Selenic begins to wipe her eyes in disappointed of nothing exciting happening, when she felt a sudden chill. Selenic opens her eyes and stare in shock of the sudden scenery changes.

The sky darkened to a murky brown, and the sun is nowhere to be seen. 'Perhaps it's nighttime, but so suddenly? That makes no sense. None of this makes sense,' thought Selenic. 'The trees… their leaves are all gone! And the branches are drooping as if depressed. Depressed? Oh, that's silly! Trees don't have emotion!' As she thought this, she once again felt a strange chill. The once grassy floor turned into a dirty sandy ground. The only thing that remained unchanged was the river, still sparkling clear despite the lack of light.
