During the days of widespread war, there existed an underground group known simply as the Saboteurs. They were composed of the most brilliant hacker minds that could be found, and their acts spanned everything from disabling weapon systems of entire fleets to diverting missiles and bombs from targets.
These saboteurs were not aligned with any side in particular, they simply opposed the act of war altogether, favoring diplomacy and peaceful resolutions. They never killed, never hurt, only thwarted others' efforts to do so through criminal activity.
Despite the fact that they saved many lives through their acts, they were hated by just about every race. War was prevented and suppressed for a time, until the leader of the group was discovered and assassinated. That woman's name was Sekleta, a human. And her band of anti-war activists included individuals from every race involved.
Without her leadership, the Saboteurs fell apart and disbanded. Galactic war then began, unabated, for many years, and many lives were lost before a peaceful resolution was eventually achieved.
Though some claim the war was necessary, many others believe that Sekleta and her Saboteurs may have been the key to preventing it altogether. If no one has the ability to fire a weapon, after all, war can't exist.
Though Sekleta is gone, her image and name endure as symbols of both peace and anonymity. In death, she became famous, widely loved, her name and likeness mimicked and used as a false identity of many modern-day Saboteurs, both in the digital world and real life.
As a result of all these frauds and mistaken identities, some have begun to question whether she is truly dead after all.
