from the lips of a liar - - + H.istory
I was a pup just like any other lupe was. With the same deep red fur I have now. I was Playful, bouncy and all that. I had a loving mother and a hard working dad. In fact my dad worked in the palace. My mother and I belonged to a pack known as L.D.P. or the lost dreams pack I grew up to respect dreams, and learned to worship the gods with the up most respect. Battle skills were never taught because according the L.D.P. dreams didn't have to be nightmare unless we chose them to be. However my father refused to join any pack, he was considered a rogue. And even if he had wanted to join they probably wouldn't have let him because he had a passion for battle.
His love for my exotic mother thou, allowed her to remain a pack mate. As the pack leaders promoted free mindedness. I was trained by my father, and soon developed a love for both chaos and harmony. One day during a routine ceremony, our pack was attacked. There was no other pack that attacked us, not at all... we were if not the most peaceful pack there was, so no other clan had any reason to attack us, and we had no territory for we were wanderers. The thing that attacked us soon became known as the Monocerous. What it did not kill it took back to its lair. My mother and I were among the four who survived. My father once he learned of the tragedy demanded that Coltzan do something, but Coltzan's advisors suggested otherwise. So angered was my father that he lost all cense. He stormed out of the palace and with his head held high and his fangs bared he charged into the Monocerous's lair and attempted to slay the beast. During the heated battle my mother and the two other hostages also helped fight. Mother hid me behind a large broken jar and told me to stay put. I obeyed her and thanking the gods for my small size stayed motionless. I remember the screams of my pack-mates still. And the horrid sound as my father was ripped to shreds. I do not ever remember hearing my mother... Possibly for the best. Days past and I still hadn't moved or eaten. The Monocerous was growing more and more enraged as brave souls attempted to come slay him. 'Pon hearing the news that over fifty had died trying to slay the beast Coltzan decided to take action...
![]() He ventured into the cave with his head held high, the beast was currently asleep giving Coltzan time to explore. He found me exactly were my mother had left me, hidden behind the jar. With a kind smile on his face he gently coxed me out and informed me that everything would be alright... But it wasn't, you see just as we were exiting the horrid cave the beat awoke, Coltzan being the great king and kind soul he was pushed me thru the opening while also handing me a half of a golden amulet, just as the rock crumbled down about him saving me and offering himself to the beast. I can remember standing in horror as the rocks separated me from my savior. I can remember hearing the shrill dying cries of the horrid beast and I can remember Coltzan telling me to run...run fast and hard...That the amulet he had given me will allow me to stay in the palace as a prince, one that had helped him slay the beast. I felt I did not deserve such an honor but I obeyed. The palace workers were anything but pleased at my coming, for I told the story of there beloved kings death, but they respected his wishes and thru the half amulet I soon became most popular about the palace. My markings soon developed, first all I had was my gold flames and such ,but soon I began to develop black markings, running up my belly and covering parts of my eyes. The palace workers decided that my markings were a curse that only thieves possessed and they plotted against me. Lucky for me one of the princesses had taken a liking to me and warned me about my plotted demise. With a kiss farewell I was on my own, lost in the never-ending sand dunes till finally one day I found myself standing before the long forgotten cave of the beast. After rummaging about I discovered a small part of an amulet. To my surprise and delight I found that my half amulet fit together perfectly with this new one. As soon as the gold came together there was a blinding light and when my sight returned I found that a stunning Coltzan figure was before me. It turns out that it was Coltzan, but not entirely... it was his spirit. He smiled down upon me as if I was his own son and I was blessed. All the pain from my past still clung but was dulled, it was as if I looked 'pon the face of an angel. After a long moment of just staring Coltzan's spirit informed me that he was most displeased with his palace workers, and we both devised a plan to get me back into the city. On my way back I found that my path was clear and I never got lost, the full amulet dangling from my neck. When the palace learned of my return they greeted me with less than smiles but I was content.. that was until I learned of the princess's demise... The advisors had learned that she had helped me and took her life for mine. This enraged me beyond control and thru my rage I took my revenge... I stole about half of the palace's gold and I killed the advisors. Needless to say, once again I was banished.
![]() After a time I came back to the city, but still under the cover of darkness not wanting any to see me. I had learned of a shrine built in honor of the late Coltzan and I decided to pay my respects and to return his stolen treasure. As I approached the shrine a soft golden glow enveloped me and I looked up once more into the face of Coltzan's spirit. The pain in his eyes pained me and I offered the stolen gold back to him. The pain in his eyes remained but he smiled... this is what he said... 'It is so good of you to offer back what you had stolen. But I fear I must punish you my son.' With a sullen nod my head fell in shame. The light became blackness and when it faded I found that my mask was complete, dubbing me as a true thief. But also giving me a second chance, none of the palace workers recognized me with a full mask, one reaching from my underbelly up to my eyes and I soon was invited into the city with an untrusting smile. A smile offered to all thieves. Now as you can see, I spend my time at the shrine protecting it from other thieves...

L.egend -
Born into captivity Ubaden was one of five pups. He was sold to a merchant who looked kind.. but turned out to be wicked. The merchant attempted to sell Ubaden numerous times but no one wanted an over priced gruslen. After about a month or so of traveling they finally arrived in the lost desert were Ubaden was locked up in the back of a shop in the far east end were hardly any one bothered to visit. The shop wasn't a real shop, it was rather a place were the merchant kept unwanted items until they became valuable again. Needless to say Ubaden soon became rather sad, lonely, and above all hungry. What was he to do? He was locked in a small cage and hadn't a clue when the merchant would be back. After a bit of wiggling he managed to nock over a bag full of fire muffins and survived on them for the duration of his cell life. After about a year of solitude he became rather hostile and would bite anyone who came within reach. Not that anyone ever did. After all, the merchant only visited about once every other week. It felt like an eternity since he had eaten all the muffins and was beginning to wither away, until one day there was the squeak of glasscutters and the soft thump of some one landing on the floor. Not really caring a fig what was going on Ubaden watched with little interest as the notorious thief Sebakhin raided the merchants shop. Seb was about to leap back out the window when Ubaden yawned and that caught Seb's attention. After a good deal of picking the lock, Ubadens' door was opened. Not intending to keep the gruslen Seb turned and started for the window, but Ubaden fallowed and stood on a box wining his guts out. Seb just had to go back and save the poor little ball of puff. And that's that, ever since that day Ubaden has been a faithful companion of Sebakhin.
