What is Dice-A-Roo?
Dice-A-Roo is a game of chance located on Roo Island where you can play for prizes and neopoints.
Does it cost anything?
It costs 5 neopoints to play one game.
Where is this game located?
It's on the left-hand side of Roo Island labeled "Dice-A-Roo Tournament Hall" - or you can use this this link as a shortcut.
What can I win?
You can win neopoints, prizes like food or bottled faeries, and lottery tickets.
Sounds great! How do I play?
Basically, you just roll the die to play. On your roll, you can do two things:
1. Choose to end the game early by collecting neopoints in your pot
2. Keep rolling the die in hopes of leveling up, winning better prizes, or hitting the jackpot.
What's the pot?
The pot is the collection of neopoints you "win" or "lose" during gameplay. If you get a game over, you lose all the neopoints in your pot. If you end your game early, you collect the neopoints in your pot. And if you win the jackpot, you get the neopoints in your pot plus the current jackpot total.
What about prizes? Lottery titckets? Eeep, and the Pant Devil?
Any prizes you win go directly to your inventory - so no matter if you win or lose the game, you get to keep your prizes. Also, all lottery tickets won go directly towards the next Neopian lottery game. And yes, the Pant Devil has been known to attack on later dice. Keep all valuable items out of your inventory to prevent him from stealing something important!
Help! Why can't I play?
There are two reasons for you being unable to play:
1. Your pet has become "bored" of the game. After you play a certain number of games (the number is random), your pet will decide that it doesn't want to play anymore. You'll have to wait until the next day to play again.
2. You are under the age of 13. Dice-A-Roo is classified as a gambling-type game, much like slots and the lottery. You'll have to wait until you turn 13 to play.
What's this I hear about bottled faeries? Are they winnable?
I have never personally won a bottled faerie from the game, but I have had several other trusted players confirm it and say they've won faeries. However, the type of faerie and the die they won it on remains uncertain due to forgetfulness and lack of documentation. If you win a bottled faerie, please take a screen shot and neomail me with the image so I can add it to the prizes list and the dice outcomes!
Is there an avatar for this game?
There is indeed! You win the avatar the first time you win the jackpot. It looks like this:
What about trophies?
You can also win trophies for this game! The high-scores list is found here. And yes, those scores really are that high. They got that way because of the 10x jackpot multiplier.
What's the jackpot multiplier?
The jackpot multiplier occurs randomly when you win the jackpot. If you get it, it multiplies your jackpot by 10! So if the jackpot is 12,345 neopoints, you'd win 123,450 neopoints! Not too shabby for a 5-np game, right?
Can anything else happen when playing?
Yes! Advisor Broo, a battledome challenger, can appear through a random event and challenge your pet to a fight, thus unlocking him for one-player battles. For more information on battling Advisor Broo, please see Garmfay's petpage on battledome challengers.
