Story

It all started seventeen years ago in Meridell. My mother a queen fell for a powerful sorcerer. Soon I Saadut was born. Who was a small black pup with a glowing green belly, paws, and chest. With eyes that were deep blue. She never told me what my name meant or why she called be that. For she died from an illness, and my father…He just left me on my own at only five years old. Five years past and my powers seemed to change and grow stronger as I got older. With not mentor to show me how to control them, I decided to teach myself. As I was learning how to control my powers the kingdom were growing weary of me. So they planned to murder me.

On the night of the murder, I laid in my room restless. I climbed out of bed and walked towards my -blocked- In my heart I new something was going to happen. And as I stared out my window I noticed something white and was floating over to me. About to run I soon realized that it was my mother's spirit.

I was surprised to see her but even more surprised when she told to run. My mother told that they were going to kill me and after that she disappeared. Even though there was little time I gather a few of my books, some money and placed them in a nap sack. Gathering my dark green hooded cloak I took one last glance at my room and climbed down the window, until I reached the bottom of the castle. As soon as I touched the ground, guards were after me.

After days of running from my life I finally left the kingdom grounds. Hungry and sore from running, I sought out any kind of food or water I could find. Eventually I wondered up somewhere between Meridell and Brightville.

After at least two weeks in an unknown place, I regained strength but not much. As I explored the area I came across an abandoned house. The windows were cracked and broken, the door had holes in it, and the once red roof now looked a dull brown. Since it didn't look that bad I walked inside. The door creaked as I opened the door. Inside the furniture were all covered with dusty white sheets, cobwebs on ever corner of the ceiling and other than that the house was in good condition.

With that in mind I decided to fix the place up. Leaving the house I looked for a nearby village for supplies. Though it was hard I was able to find what I needed using what little money I brought with me. Once I remodeled the house, so that it felt more like home. By then I knew I had to find some kind of work in order to survive.

Days past and still I found no work. As I returned to my small home, I felt someone hit me in the back of my head. Passing out I became completely unconscious. It wasn't long before I woke up with a head ache. As my vision cleared I soon found my self chained to other pets. Some had scars covering their fur, while others had none.

Shaking my head to clear the dizziness, I ask the pet chained next to me where I was. The poor pet was a red Korbat; he told me that we where headed towards the Haunted Woods and that we were headed towards an old mine. With that said I knew that I had to help the others and I get free. Glancing over I saw two Grarrls whispering to each other. Though I couldn't hear what they were saying I knew it wasn't good news.

Like I said it wasn't good news. I over heard their leader; A Darigan Gelert say that we were going to march all the way to the Haunted Woods. It wasn't long before he started marching. When ever I had the change I would count to see how many pets were chained together. The amount was 150. I could only imagine how they could obtain so many pets.

As the days flew by slowly I witnessed pets die and faint from lack of food and water. Eventually I lost track of time and my paws became sore and were soaked in blood. Every time I took a step, a red paw print was left. Not even half way there slowly starving. They only feed us once a day and we got water when ever there was a river close by.

And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse we run out of food, or so the guards say. What I mean is that even though they said we ran out of food they still had full bellies. So I knew they were only keeping the food to themselves. And we were forced to scavenge off the land. The torture was too much, but I wasn't going to die that easily.

It was dark when he finally reached the Haunted Woods. Thankfully they allowed us to sleep. Since I was not tired I forced myself to sleep. Forced awake we were told that we had start digging in the mime. When ever we found a diamond or rare mineral he would place it in a cart, where someone would add them to the slowly growing pile.

Three year past since I came to the Haunted Woods and life seemed to get worse. Everyday was pain, from getting up at sunrise to sleeping at sundown. Though there was a silver lining to being forced to work for three years. I became stronger, and became more aware of my other powers. But then one night something unexpected happened.

As I slept I woke up when I felt something pass my ear. Opening my eyes to my surprise I saw it was a Petpet; A Spyder. And to add on to my shock the Spyder was very intelligent and had learned to talk.

But how could you help us get free?" I whispered.

Easy. My small arms I can pick the lock and set you free and I can get my friends to help as well." He replied.

With that said he was gone, he soon returned with a few other Spyders. As fast as they had arrived they unlocked the chains and we were free. Quietly we all split up ran away in different directions. While I followed my red paw prints. As I glanced back I saw that the Darigan Gelert sound the alarm and had his guards chase us.

Suddenly they all fell into a well dug ditch. I then wondered how the ditch got there. Thinking for second I assumed that the Spyders have already planned our escape. Chuckling I ran faster, and as I came to a stop I noticed that someone was following me. It was the Spyder who had helped me.

Hey wait up! I want to come with you!" I heard him say.

Smiling I nodded and said yes.

Oh and by the way I'm Shade, what's your name?

I'm Saadut.

And with those few words said, I knew I had gained a good friend. Shade hopped onto my shoulder and continued our journey home. To help time pass I took the time to explain to Shade how I came to the Haunted Woods. Bout time I finished telling him my story we were almost home. Though it took a month longer we finally made it back to my small home. Once there I found myself exhausted and collapsed. But I didn't care I was glad to be home.

Over time I learned to walk through walls, control the elements fire and darkness and great strength. But there is a price to my strength; I can only get stronger through harsh training. And as I grow older I learn more about myself and my strange powers…
