ABOYER.À.LA.LUNE
Private Roleplaying and Art Guild

You're probably wondering what the heck Aboyer à la Lune (AALL) is. To put it simply, it's a guild that only accepts members who engage in various forms of art, graphics design and writing. We focus on finding members who excel at writing, drawing, graphics designing, photography, or any other things that might fall under those three categories, such as short stories, fan fiction, roleplaying, and photo manipulation. AALL strives to be an active guild, complete with active and literate members.

So what does AALL have to offer its members? AALL engages all the members in various activities, including secret art trades, scheduled guild chats, a webbie with various graphics, downloadables and tutorials, giveaways, a painted pet and limited edition adoption centre, guild jobs, guild awards, a member, weirdo and pet of the month award, two adoptable sets open only to members, adoptable directory, and many other things! AALL has extremely active message boards (we've passed our ten thousandth message) and its own private roleplaying forums. The roleplaying forums allow you to roleplay a lupe in a lupe pack, or a pet in anthro, quad, or full human should you wish to do so. You can roleplay in a set plot, create your own mini-plots, or create threads that have nothing to do with the plot!

So why choose AALL? As listed above, AALL is a guild like none other, and is always open to new ideas, and especially new members.

So what does AALL have to offer for the different components?
A R T
AALL caters to the needs of many aspiring artists, and we hold art related activities quite regularily. We have had a few Secret Art Trades in the past that proved to be quite successful. Not only that, but we have an area on the forums where members can display their artwork. Such can also be done on the guild boards, where members can recieve constructive criticism on their artwork, and how they might improve. AALL is always working on building up a selection of tutorials, all created by members for members. Currently, we're still interested in contributions, but we've got a fairly decent collection of tutorials for oekaki, paint shop pro, and mspaint started.

G R A P H I C S
Right now, we are still building upon our graphics section of the guild. We have a small collection of tutorials which are slowly growing. The forums can also be used to display graphics design, as can the guild boards to recieve feedback on your work. The graphics portion of the guild has only recently been introduced, so any members who dabble in graphic design are welcomed ^^

R O L E P L A Y I N G
As we have a roleplaying forum, this makes it far easier to roleplay. As of now we have a new plot which will allow quad, full human and anthro pets to be roleplayed in the same forums. We use the forums for organizational purposes, as it has been found extremely difficult to maintain a roleplay on the guild boards, and allows for members to be in more then one roleplay at a time. The functions are the same, and the posting system remains, so it's an easier, more effective way to roleplay ;D

W R I T I N G
Writers can also utilize the forums, and post stories, and poems they've written on the ooc forums, where members are welcome to critique and comment on their writing. Writing tutorials are in the process of being written, as our writers section is in need of more people who do in fact write! Any written works members are proud of can be displayed on the webbie should they wish to see it there.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What sort of roleplaying do you do?
We do all sorts; our message boards are quite loose in the sense that we allow all sorts of roleplays to go on, whether it be lupe, aisha, or acara, and I'm planning on making a subforum for other type of roleplay that isn't neopets. We have a lupe pack, and the guild started out focused on lupes as the primary roleplaying pet, but now, we've vastly expanded to quad, anthro, furry, human, etc. For the lupe pack, it is solely quad, but you can roleplay anthro in other areas if you wish (:

So, would a Krawk would be accpeted in the Roleplay?
You can roleplay any neopet specie, but only lupes can be in the lupe pack (:

Do I have to own a lupe to join? Or any certain neopet specie for that matter?
You only need to own a lupe if you want to RP it in a pack- other then that, you can RP a different neopet specimen as a wanderer. If you don't RP, this doesn't apply to you x3

I am interested, but I'd have to join on another account. Is that alright?
We allow people to join in secondary accounts, provided you stay active with that account. We don't want inactive members, but if you can show us you can be active on a second, or third account, we're alright with that=D

Eep! My example is really long! I can't fit everything into one neomail!
If any of your examples are too long, feel free to send us a continuation in another neomail- don't cut it down just because of a silly character limit! Though, if you're going to need to send us more then one, simply put a collection of your examples on a petpage! This is highly reccomended, especially for roleplayers, since there is no way you could fit a decent roleplay into one neomail!

Even without my example, my neomail is too long! What do I do?
Put it on a petpage, and simply mail the account. Tell us you'd like to apply, and that your application is on your pet's petpage. Provide a link, and fill out the form on the petpage, and that'll do fine.

How many pets are we allowed to roleplay?
As many as you believe you can manage, but it's not reccomeded you have more than three at once, unless for a short plot, or as a temporary character.

Do we have to be *amazing* artists to get in?
It is asked that you apply when you believe you have decent art. If you don't think your art is up to par, try waiting a bit, improve your art, and then apply. The same can be said for roleplaying, and if you are rejected. It simply means you have some things to improve on.

I am interested, but I would like to fill out all three forms! Is that acceptable?
Of course! If you have more then one talent, then go right ahead. If there's something you'd like to say that isn't listed on the form, go right ahead=)

Could I get an invite to look at the guild?
Sorry, but no. We send an invite out once you've been accepted. And filling out the form doesn't take a huge amount of time, so there's no worries about your work going to waste so to speak. This is mostly so we know who's interested in joining our guild, since that's what the form/application is about - getting to know the people who want to join=)

I'm a scribble artist, and I'm looking to join; can I apply as an artist?
You can apply, but you'd have to be very good, as many scribble pictures lack the creative depth and overall knowledge we're looking for. If you do still want to apply with scribble examples, go ahead, but we can't guarantee you'll get in. Since we look through examples to see you can improve, scribble examples usually don't show the many important things art requires (principles & elements of design).

Hi! Cn I apply 2 join ur gild?
-watches as brain begins to liquify- @-@;

Who drew the picture at the top?
That was drawn by the former owner of AALL, Jay n_n It was going to become a layout of sorts, but it never really happened. It features AALL's mascot ;D

Who do I mail if I have more questions about AALL?
You can contact the guild account, crysvenius if you wish. If you want to recieve a quicker answer, I'd advise mailing whichever of these council members was last on: happehchan (owner of AALL), pichu4850 (co owner of AALL), or sarahxox0 (council).
