CURRENT SONG: REQUIEM BY YOKO KANNO …A calm rain is falling, the droplets gently hitting your face. You look skyward and hold out your hand. It's been raining like this for hours, this warm, gentle, rain; though when it rains for hours, even the most pleasurable of sorts can soak one's clothes all the way through and leave the wearer in a sour mood. You shake your head; sure that the rain won't let up anytime soon. A newcomer to Neopia, you've been traveling around all day. Now, you were terribly and hopelessly lost in downtown Shenkuu, unsure of where one road led and another began. And if that weren't enough, the neon signs here buzzed After a few more bouts of running around, you finally decide to ask for directions to the nearest train station. You growl at your idiocy for waiting until now to ask directions, but what's done is done. On the outskirts of town, you spot a dimly lit, traditional-looking tea house. There was a sign out front: Ano Natsu Tea Garden. There were flowers and cherry blossoms surrounding the tea house, and you could've sworn…sworn…you smelled chocolate… The rain was starting to pour now, and the tea house looked promising. And with everything you had, you made a dash for it. Chilled and soaked to the bone, you reached the front door in 30 seconds, tops. You take a deep breath, and knock on the door. No answer. You are hesitant to knock again –for fear of being rude, but do so anyway. Still no answer. Standing on this doorstep, in the pouring rain, you wait for an answer. And then, you hear. You hear a beautiful melody coming out from behind the house, and because humans are naturally curious, you go around back to investigate. You quietly tiptoe around the edge of the house and peer over the corner.
There, dancing in the pouring rain, was a wolf…cat…thing. And she was singing. She was singing to her plants, and her petpet, was singing in harmony with her. You chuckled at the sight. It was utterly ridiculous, to dance like that in this weather! Absurd! But the act itself was innocent and beautiful. Just looking at her made you happy. She was certainly happy! ![]() …Then, you remembered that it was pouring rain. And late at night…You shiver, and decide to call out to her. You really needed to get inside the tea house and get warm. You were at risk for catching a severe cold, standing outside like this! guest:H-h…Hey…Hey! Your voice sounded frail and shaky. She stopped singing; gaze affixed on your face. You gave a nervous laugh, and so did she. In fact, she looked embarrassed by your sudden appearance. Animal: Hehe…I wasn't expecting an audience. But uh, what can I do for you? guest: Well, I was wondering if you could, um…let me inside your tea house. I've been wandering about town for ages…I'm terribly lost and cold from the rain. I'm…err…new here. She smiles and looks at you. She motions to her petpet, who dashes past you and into the doggy door installed out front. Animal: Sure, I'm always willing to help out travelers; that's how this place got started, anyway. Yuma has already unlocked the front door; you may go in and warm yourself by the fire. I'll be in in a few minutes, I just need to go and get my shoes from the back yard. My name's Ryheii, by the way. She turns and heads around back, while you make a dash for the front door…again. This time, it's unlocked and you step inside. The tea house is laid out like a regular house, except to the left, was the main dining area, you guessed, where customers sat and ate. In an act of being polite, you remove your shoes and head over to the living space of the house. You see Yuma rolling around on the floor by the fireplace, gnawing on a chew toy. You smile and crouch near the fire; warming your face, hands and feet. All around the room, were pictures of friends and family. Also, there were many candles lit around the tea house. Everything was so…relaxed. Pretty soon, Ryheii enters the teahouse and turns and walks down a hallway. A few moments later, she returns with a folded up bathrobe and a warm pair of stockings. Ryheii: For you! Since I know those clothes of yours are soaked through from the rain. Here, you can change into this. There's a bathroom down the hall to your left, please, make yourself comfortable! I'm going to start on a pot of tea; would you like some? guest: Oh, thank you! You're too kind…and of course, I would love some tea. You make your way down the hall and proceed to change out of your dirty, soggy traveling clothes. You smile at the hospitality of this creature; no one has ever gone out of their way to make you feel at home before. You finish changing and fold up your old clothes and sit them in the bathtub to dry. You then meet Ryheii back in the living area. ![]() Age: Appears to be 18 or 19 Gender: Female Eye Colour: Blue Love Status: SINGLE, BABY. Just as long as it's nice and warm...Just like that smile of yours.
