A tail to be told...

While there firemen were putting the flames out, I looked down curiously at the brown package I was holding.
I sat down and carefully take Slime, who was sleeping happily, down onto the grass and tore open the brown paper.
I took out a book titled Mythology of Neopia and frowned. I ran my fingers along the beautiful paper-back cover, illustrated with faeries and maraquans and swiry lines that shimmered with silver glitter.
I put it down next to Slime and open the rest of the present.
I pulled out a small, wooden box and open the yellow lid cautiously. Inside rested a small pendent necklace with a small coconut on it. There was also something else in there.
A small glass bottle containing deep blue liquid and a note. I examined the note first. It read in small curly print:
Dear Beth,
It's your mother and father here.
We just want to let you know that the time has come to show you something very important.
Drink the liquid in this bottle and wear the necklace at midnight on the 3rd of the month of Storing.
We can not wait for you to come home, sweetie!
Love from your mother and father.

I sat and thought for a moment.
It's the 3rd of Storing today.... I thought, putting on the necklace.
I looked at the bottle and decided to wait until midnight like the letter suggested.
I looked at the clock. Oh... It was already midnight.
I opened the lid of the bottle and without time to think I drank the liquid.
A moment later I started to squirm and I couldn't feel my legs, but as quickly as it happens, the squirming is gone and my legs were moving like normal again.

Miss avery frowned.
Children, I'm afraid we can not sleep here tonight, as the police are investigating how the fire started.
Josh here has kindly volunteered to take you to another boarding school nearby on his bus for the night. We have decided that the holidays are starting early this year. We have contacted your parents to come pick you up tomorrow. If anyone's parents can't come, they'll stay with me until their parents arrive.

Beth, honey, time to come home. A soft voice whispers into my ear.
I yawned slowly and rubbed my eyes before opening them.
Mum? Mum! I threw my arms around her and smiled.
It had been two months that I hadn't seen her.
Where's dad? I asked impatiently.
He's in the car sweetie, he's waiting for us. Now, you did follow our advice about the potion and the necklace, right?
Potion? You mean the little bottle with the liquid? Yeah I drank it.
Ok then, I'll leave you to get dressed. We'll be waiting in the car. She winked as she walked out of the dorm. I frowned.
As I was getting out of bed I tripped and fell face first.
I groaned, as it really hurt. I went to get up again, but it was no use and the same thing happened again.
I managed to get a hold of my bed and sat down. Then I took off my necklace and got a towel from the drawers next to my bed.
I walked to the bathroom, trying hard not to be loud and wake my friends up.
After I got changed I brushed my hair and put on my shoes.
I better put my necklace back on. I said quietly to myself.
Suddenly, I fell down like I had done when I tried to get out of bed. This time though, my legs had gone numb. I held onto the sink and pulled myself up like I had previously done.
As I looked into the mirror, I screamed and lost my balance yet again.
Beth, are you ok in there?? Why are you screaming?
Someone asked from outside the door.
Uh...yeah, I'm fine. I just slipped, that's all.
I looked down at where my legs used to be. There in their place was a tail!
Not like the water faerie's tail and not like a kougra's tail, but a genie's tail.
I sat there, stunned, for at least a minute.
Then I looked down at my necklace. It must have been the cause.
I took it off and closed my eyes.
I hoped that when I awoke my legs would be back...
I opened one eye and peered out through my fingers. There they were, as if they were there the whole time. I stood up and stuffed the wretched necklace into my pocket and ran out of the room.
Seeya guys! Have a great holiday!
I said before running out of the dorm room, down the stairs and out the door.

Well then, you took your time then didn't you! Dad laughed when I got into the car. He looked at my mum and she looked at him.
The necklace you gave me, it- I started, but mum beat me to it.
It was your Grand mother's necklace. She was a coconut genie too, but it skipped a generation with me, but now it's yours Beth. You're a genie. I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner. But you must keep it a secret! Otherwise, your powers will disappear forever. She smiled at me. It was hard to take it all in.
What powers? I asked.
Read about it in your book. It's hard for me darling, I don't know about it either. Your Grandma didn't tell me much.

I finished reading that night. All the stuff about powers and wishes, it was hard to believe.
But I had powers that I never even thought existed. Like for example, I could freeze and move liquid and I could fly and that I was an excellent swimmer.
And as for my wishes, I had to grant 100 wishes before I passed on the necklace to someone else who was waiting.
I also learnt that coconut genies were special and very rare. We could master our powers quicker and we were able to learn other powers, depending on how quick they learnt their other powers.

I'm still learning more and more about making wishes and my powers from my grandma but she says I'm being a great genie.

Then I shall give Bbbvcc her petlookup and soon after that I'll be working on her petpage. I'm really sorry that I haven't started it yet, but I promise it will come soon.
Her petapge will be the same as this application, but it will include adoptables and more stories ect.
If I adopt Beth but I am planning to enter Beth in the Beauty Contest straight away.

I am also going to enter Beth and Slime in the petpet spotlight. I've always wanted to do that! :D
Also, I'm planning on roleplaying. I'm not that talented int eh roleplying area but I've done it before with my friend Bafoonery in neomail. I would never do it on the roleplay boards though, I prefer neomail.

If I, Clariteh, am chosen to adopt bbbvcc, I promise to never neglect her. I promise to feed her and give her what she deserves. I shall never put her up for trade or adoption unless I am to quit. In that case she will go to one of my close friends or up for adoption to the nicest owner I can possibly find.

I've always been fascinated in UC coconut jubjubs, they're so cute! Plus I love the design I've made for her and I love Beth's name, because it's easy to make abreviations for it.
But actually, I hate coconut in real life. Can't stand it. No lamingtons, chocolate slice, nothing to do with eating coconut. I love the smell of it though. coconut flavoured soaps smell so delicious.
