Welcome to the Rooligans Rulebook! Here you will find an outline of the guidelines that we have in order to keep our boards a fun place to be, and some other handy things. If you are a new member, please read through these and keep them in mind when visiting the boards.
We kindly ask you to remember that the Rooligans are our chat group and not just Roo Island supporters. A Rooligan member does not have to support Roo Island.
Our boards last all year round. We stay on the plot boards, however when there is no current plot and the board is deleted, you can find us on the Virtupets boards.

-The Golden Rule
Rooligans is a chatgroup where users come to make friends, chat, and enjoy the overall Neopets experience. If a user is spoiling the experience for other Rooligans they should expect to be ignored or asked to leave. The Rooligans are a very diverse group with people of all ages and backgrounds, and as we are human beings, there will be disagreements. We ask that you be reasonable in your behavior and not hasty to judge others. If your goal is to instigate arguments with others, put others down, brag, show off, or pursue some other endeavour that reasonable people would not call friendly fun, please move on to another thread where those behaviors will be tolerated.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know more of what being a Rooligan is all about, and remember, when in doubt; use the golden rule.
-Rooligan Conduct
• A bigger team does not equal better team. Remember that Rooligans do not actively recruit.
• Always be respectful and kind to others, including non-Roos.
• Always abide by the rules of the Neopets.com website.
-The Altador Cup
• Please try to play more than you chat. We know you want to talk to your friends, but try and make a balance between chatting and playing. Try chatting between goals or while waiting for a game to end.
• Remember that many users chat between goals and games, and it is not necessary to post crude messages demanding that others leave the boards to play.
• Please don't join Roo Island if you are not going to be playing. There are many ways of supporting us, but not playing will only bring down scores. You don't have to join the team to be a great supporter!
• If someone from another team comes on the board trying to taunt you, ignore them - they most likely want attention. If it gets really bad, don't be afraid to report them.
• Please remember that points do matter in the cup, so try and do your best, instead of scoring one point and waiting for the game to end.
-Posting
• If you are asked by another member to stop discussing real life topics (such as tv shows, movies, books, etc.) please respect their wishes and take it to neomail.
• If someone is discussing something that is bothering you and you would like them to stop, be respectful in asking.
• There is to be no role playing of any kind on the board. This is not the place for it and it is irritating to many members.
• Don't take it personally if people don't reply to your posts. Boards move quickly.
• Remember not to spam. Please refrain from posting things like song lyrics or tv/movie quotes that take up more than one post.
• Please do not link offsite.
• There is to be no posting of guild advertisements on the boards.
-Board Creation
• The Rooligan who pwns (is the first person to post on) page 22 creates the next board.
• Pwning is not a big deal.
• Anyone spamming to earn the pwn will not receive it.
• If you pwn the page and are unable to make the board, you may choose someone else. If not, the pwn will be passed along to the next poster.
• If all the eligible board makers are not present, designate a board maker amongst yourselves. Please be mature about this.
• If you are the pwner and it appears that you have left the board, and someone else is designated as the board maker, please reply to this saying that you are here and able to make the board. If you don't do this, please don't complain when someone else makes the board.
• Always use the proper title format. (See bottom of page for a template to copy and paste.)
• Make sure you have the board ready ahead of time; you may want to start putting it together as soon as you pwn.
• Please do not create the board until it is near the end of page 25, or immediately after the board has exploded.
• If a scoreboard is created separately from the main chat board, it should not be labelled with the chat board number.

How do I become a Rooligan?
To become a Rooligan all you need to do is stop by our boards and chat every so often. A Rooligan may be from a different team, or even someone who has no idea what the Altador Cup is.
Who created the Rooligans?
The Rooligans were created during the AC1 by several regular Roo Island chatters. However, the chat group was not originally called "Rooligans," the name was later changed as the use of the word became more popular.

Not unruly. Please take disagreements to NM.
The Rooligan who pwns pg 22 makes the new topic (punny titled, #d & *blumaroo *'d).
No spamming is tolerated. Anyone doing so forfeits the pwn.
