SING

My voice, now raw with exhaustion and scratchy from overuse finally decides to put itself out. A candle finally extinguished, a small bit of smoke exits my mouth before being snatched out of the air by the winds' greedy hands. I cough pitifully, rubbing my throaght as I do so. I wince at the effort, now thoroughly annoyed with myself for doing this. Screaming, for hours, and not a thing had happened.

I was still trapped... A throaty growl escaped from my lips, and I strained my body against the chains that help me in place against the cold of the wall. These pieces of metal were all that was holding me back, and holding me out, in the open on the edge of the cliff. They knew I could not fly all too well, so they say this as the best place to imprison me.

They had laughed after they'd finally caught me- like I was some wretched prize you'd find at a fair. If you actually won them- everyone knows those carnival games are rigged. But who was to say this one wasn't? I would escape. No one would ever hold me back, never imprison me. Never. I refused to be imprisoned like some savage animal, and be put on display. All the villagers would pass by this mountain ever day, as many of them headed out to work in the fields. And when they began harvesting their barley, cursing the amount of work they had to do, they always knew they had something to brighten their day. The fact that I was imprisoned.

It seemed like I'd been trapped in here for months, and in reality, I had. I'd started marking off the days, but after a while, it simply became to be too much effort. I'd hit some twenty or thirty days before I'd decided to stop.

There was no hope of getting out of here. As many times as I'd tried, I'd found that the chains were too strong for my weak body to break. I might have been able to in the first few days I was here, but that was an entirely different story that I won't bother mentioning.

ANTHEM

I laughed as I thought of this: it had taken those measly humans four years to capture me. Never had they come close- until now. I had terrorized them for years, stealing their livestock, and leaving the bones scattered about in the village. Sometimes, I'd visit a neighboring village just for the heck of it, just because I could. Most of the time, I'd enjoy my food, burrowed deep in the tunnels of the vast mountain few dared approach. It was said a mighty beat dwelled in the rock, and was a ferocious monster who would kill anyone coming through.

That had never scared me. And to be honest, that fearsome monster was most likely an ancestor of mine - a tunneling draik. One with a heightened sense of smell, and impeccable vision. Being a tunneling draik means my wings aren't nearly as strong as most draiks, but I make up with that with speed and my excellent senses. I'd always thought it was a blessing. Until I was captured, of course.

They had taunted me. Chained to the side of the mountain, as they had found out I was rather poor at flying. Even if I broke through the chains, I'd be unable to make it down the side of the mountain.

Young sir," I called out in a hoarse voice, one day, as I saw a stranger travelling down the pah near the mountain. In reality, I wasn't too high up - just far enough so that I'd die if I tried to jump down. I blanched when I noticed he could not hear me, straining against my bonds. "Sir," I called out louder, trying to look in desperate need (of course, this was not too hard, as I was in dire need). "Might you help me?" I queried, giving him a charming smile as he starting up the mountain. "Some villagers chained me up here, afraid of me, they were.

What did you do?" The man asked, standing at the edge of the cave.

I healed the village head's daughter - not with magic, but herbs and spices. But they thought it was magic, and hated me for it. They chained me here so I'd befoul no one!" I said, trying to peer at the man convincingly. "I will be greatly indebted to you if you can free me - if you were to ever need something, I might be able to help..." I trailed off, trying to make this seem as believable as possible.

Well," he man began, thinking back to all the stories he'd heard as a child. Where the epitome of good comes often in the most unlikely forms. "Alright," he said, looking for some way to break the locks. The man pulled out a spade, and bent it so it was thinner, and would fit in the lock holes. They were rather large locks holding the chains to me, as I was not the size of a mere human. He managed to pick the lock open, and one of the cuffs holding my arm fell to the ground. I nodded my approval, and he managed to get the rest off.

I peered out of the cave, squinting as the harsh beams of sunlight fell upon my pale, ashen face, which had been rather deprived of french air and sunlight for over a month now. I looked down the mountain, receiving a quizical look from the man. "I delve in herbs to help, due to my inability to fly. If I cannot help myself, I try to help as many others as possible." I gave him my best fake-smile, and slowly made my way down the mountain. While I had thought it impossible to make it down, I being a tunneling draik, was able to find some form of path, and used that. When I finally reached the bottom, I turned to the man, who had helped me. "When the day comes that you should ever need my help, simply call my name, and scatter three petals of the nearest flower to carry your message."

With that, I ran off, leaving the man to gape as I ran.

Of course, I had not given him my name, nor would scattering petals in the wind help him. I was sure he had realized that by now.

FEARS - andeverythingthatfrightensme
Heights. I have an unexplainable fear of heights (however, it might only make sense after being shackled to a mountain a few stories high, and the inability to fly).

HATES - andeverythingIdespise
Flowers. I hate them, hate them. Despise them with all my might. Why? Just because I can. I've little against them (except their incessant ways of being cheery during the one season I loathe).
Summer. L'été est un période répugnante d'année. I hate the summer time (especially the fact that été is not only summer in French, but the passé composé conjugated version of être.) Thus, I loathe summer, not only the word, but the time with all my might. If only it were Autumn everyday.
Talkative people. If you want my two cents on this (and if you don't, why are you still reading?) they have to be the most annoying thing in the world. If I want you to talk, I'll tell you.
Young neopets. They lack any sort of knowledge that might further help them comprehend simple situations, oftentimes reach at you with their grubby hands, complain when they don't get what they want, and are a frivolous accessory that depletes the world's economy.
Cheese. Unlike those out there who have a certain obsession with this item (as well as pickles and muffins), I have never been able to acquire the taste for any sort of cheese, excluding feta cheese.
1337. That's only for that nerd, Twyllie to use, and no one else.

CRY/o/WEAP
Who needs a family, a mother, brother, or father, when you have money and wealth? A family is only something that will burden you, something that will hold you back from achieving your true destiny. Not a pre planned destiny that has been laid out for you - there is no such thing as a silly thing like fate. Free will made sure of this. Parents, siblings - they are ones who want to rid you of your free will. I realized this after the death of my father, Roland. Following his death, my mother Aella began subversing herself in the likes of alcohol and booze. Eratuu certainly didn't help, and Nyx was nothing more than a nuisance. August delved in drugs, Wiebke was never home (most likely doing all sorts of things any older sister might do when alone), and while Sibylla may have been something of a good child at one point, I saw no reason to hang around.

After Eratuu left my mother (leaving her with my step sister, Nyx), I stuck it out for a while, but decided they simply weren't worth my time. It was pitiful the life I had been living. I left my own family to wander, and that was when I came across The Village.

ATOP.:.a BUILDING and soaring through the SKIES
There was one, by the name of Genezis who has taken a bit of a liking to me. I'm not sure how, but after a visit to his area of residence, it appeared as though he wished for us to be friends (of all things!) After conversing with him a bit more, I found his company to be something of an enjoyable kind, as he was one of the few that did not find the need to incessantly critisize me, or others. However, he did seem to be a bit fearful of Encarnaciόn Orpheus (Or, as she is nicknamed, Prunella).

Anthem of our Dying Day// Story of the Year
The stars will cry
The blackest tears tonight
And this is the moment that I live for
I can smell the ocean air
And here I am
Pouring my heart onto these rooftops
Just a ghost to the world
That's exactly...
Exactly what I need

From up here the city lights burn
Like a thousand miles of fire
And I'm here to sing this anthem
Of our dying day

For a second I wish the tide
Would swallow every inch of this city
As you gasp for air tonight
I'd scream this song right in your face
If you were here
I swear I won't miss a beat
Cause I never
Never have before

From up here the city lights burn
Like a thousand miles of fire
And I'm here to sing this anthem
Of our dying day

Of our dying day
Of our dying day
Of our dying!!!

For a second I wish the tide
Would swallow every inch of this city
And you gasp for air tonight!!

From up here the city lights burn
Like a thousand miles of fire
And I'm here to sing this anthem
Of our dying day
From up here the city lights burn
Like a thousand miles of fire
And I'm here to sing this anthem
Of our dying day
From up here the city lights burn
Like a thousand miles of fire
And I'm here to sing this anthem
Of our dying day

Our dying day
Of our dying!
