Me in Real Life
Yeesh. 'Bout time I put something here XD
So, I started on Neopets January 4th, 2004. Yupp, that's a pretty loooong time. And, guess what? My first pet was even well-named. I still have him, rotting on that first account because I couldn't activate it :c
ANYWAYS.
My main is
dumbstruck. I'm on as often as I can be, so yeah c:
My sides are statement, moonshei, easterlies and anthropogenic. Yayy for real words. (Except moonshei. That's in rememberance of my darling little Moonshei, my much loved baby.
Oh, and I love Lupes. Can't you tell?

• My real name is Kathryn, or Kathy. Call me that and I'll never speak to you again. Really, I'll block you, just to prove my point :c
• I first said hello to the world on June 15, 1994.
• Yes, that makes me a whole whoppin' 17 years old.
• I'm in choir. I love love LOVE to sing, but I get really freaked out and sound horrible when I'm nervous.
• I have three dogs and two cats.

I've owned Rhufien the longest out of all my current Lupes. She was given to me a back in around '08 by someone who'd seen me on the boards. She's stayed with me since then.
Rhu is a very simplistic character. Rather than move into the city like others, she's chosen to remain as the guardian of her little home forest. She knows a lot about magic, with a prominent forte in earth-related casting. |

Vega was adopted through an application.
Just like so many others, she didn't know her parents. But she never once mourned over them, not like those so many others. Instead, she let music become her emotions. She's a regular raver and clubber, and would love it if you'd ask her out for a night in the city. Yet there's a part of her that will always love the countryside, even if she keeps that part pretty much hidden.

Perhaps she's got a few secrets to tell, but you wouldn't know it. Khoco is a kind-hearted, welcoming little character who'd open up to a coke bottle if she needed someone to talk to. She also has a "slight" obsession with her namesakes-chocolate and coffee. This girl would marry the stuff if it were legal.

Williav was traded for a female electric Lupe.
A natural-born sweetheart, this Lupess will go to the most extreme of degrees in order to help others. Perhaps she has a guilty conscience about something, and she's never satisfied that she's done enough to clear it.

Aex is a kind enough Lupine, but he has a bit of an addiction. To what, you ask? Well, long story short, he'd never be able to settle down because he feels the need to flirt with all the ladies. It's a good thing he considers my girls to be sisters, or things could get ugly.

Did you know that Willi has a twin sister? Of course, you'd never guess it. They look nothing alike, and goodness knows they're total opposites. Where Willi is considered an angel, Tai may be thought of as a demon. She takes 'a heart of ice' to a whole new level.

Out of the entire family, one stands out as the most qualified to be leader. Syk is strong and brave, but he's got a good head on his shoulders and won't let his strength get to his head. The others see him as the reliable older brother sort.

If you're having a bad day, just being around Xantel is sure to cheer you up. Or just make you really angry. He has a few disorders, but doesn't see them as a bad thing. Unfortunately, sometimes he can get a little too worked up and hurt someone. But don't let that discourage you from meeting this great little guy, he'd be a good friend to you.

If he feels the need to say something, he makes sure it's said. Vllaud is a very outspoken type, but that's what makes him interesting. Of course, he's also very blunt-if he thinks that what you have to say is stupid, he'll say it like it is.

I'm a Lupe hoader. I will admit it without hesitation, and I won't hide the fact that, for some reason, I'm proud to admit it. Admitting the truth is the first step in solving the problem, right?
Unfortunately, I can't keep up with all of my little beloved Lupers. So, I have to put some up for adoption every now and then to keep myself in check.
There are currently 5 Livitine Lupes up for adoption.
If you click on them, you'll find more info on each.
I reserve the right to keep my pets should I not find an applicant that I decide to be the right owner for each.

• I reserve the right to keep my pets. Even if you apply and I like your application, there's a chance that my pet will stay with me regardless.
• If they're not UFA, don't ask. It will mean an automatic disqualification for ANY of my pets.
• I like getting to know people. While I don't require it, I'd probably be more willing to adopt out my pet to you if I know you a bit.
• Anybody can apply. Though I have a soft spot for roleplayers, it won't boost your chances.
• Apples and bananas. Put it somewhere in there creatively.
• Chatspeak is an automatic disqualification. I really, really hate it. 'lol' and 'omg' are allowed in minimal amounts. Smilies, on the other hand, are very awesome.
• Make me want to give you my pet. Convince me :)
• Check my grading scale!! It'll help you in the long run, honest.

Rhufien X oxX_skyler_Xxo(sk8er_chick_tamer) Jan 14, 2011
Setting: The good old-fashioned forest
Season: Spring
ToD: Sunset
Weather: Semi-chilly
***Rhu: It'd been a long time since she'd left her home.
She felt somewhat out of her element, not used to
/these/ trees. Of course, to most, there wouldn't be
any difference between this forest and the one she
guarded. But to her, it was plenty different.
Still, it was pretty enough, and that was what
had drawn the little gray Lupess to the area.
Presently, she sat perched in a tree, hanging a
forepaw off the sturdy branch to manipulate some
sprouts farther below. Yes, Rhufien was practiced in
the way of earth-casting, but it'd never cross her
mind to use it in a harmful way. She was a rather
simple-minded creature, much prefering to entertain
herself than bring harm to another.
Her silver eyes gazed absent-mindedly out into
the trees beyond her perch.
***Skyler: It wasn't clear what drove him to these lands.
Perhaps it was desire to get as far away from which
he came or the hope to find something out there that
would brighten his life.
Truth was he doubted very much on the second part.
The white luminous yet listless eyes lay sunk
behind an iron helm that covered the top of his head.
Large tusks on either side protruded out. His
charcoal fur seemed to fray in the slight breeze. He
felt detached from this reality and it was really no
wonder why. He was a specter, a wraith if you will.
Just days ago who had possessed a life, a soul. Now
he felt he had nothing but this empty shell that
kept him frozen in this world unable to move ahead
or back. This wasn't what he had expected.
The male, Skyler forced himself to move forward.
Perhaps he should have lifted his gaze because before
he knew it, he was just feet away from Rhufien and
with no idea she was there.
***Rhu: She pricked her ears slightly out of half-hearted
interest as the dark-furred male approached,
immediately letting go of her hold on the plantlife
below. Rhufien lifted her head curiously, staring
down at him. She hadn't seen any others for quite a
long time beyond her makeshift family, and he was
unlike any she'd seen as of yet.
Without pausing for another heartbeat, she pulled
herself up onto the branch, which proceeded to
stretch itself down to the ground before the
stranger. She stepped off lightly. "Hello," she
murmured, gazing at him softly.
Rhu wasn't exactly a shy character. She'd greet
anyone fearlessly, though she was of a considerably
small size. Luckily she'd learned a long time ago
about personal space.
"I'm Rhufien." It didn't cross her mind that maybe
he wasn't so welcoming.
***Skyler: Skyler was completely caught off guard by the
sudden appearance of the female. He stumbled back
right into a a creek which shocked the senses even
more. Now was the perfect time to feel embarrassed.
He stood in the creek for a moment which was up to
his chest. Could he play it off like he had not been
startled and had fallen in the creek on purpose? Not
a chance.
He titled his head slightly at her friendly
nature. Something he was definitely not used to.
"Uuuuh" he began realizing he was stumbling with
words. "Hi" he finally scoffed as he picked himself
from the creek and stood just feet away from her.
***Rhu: A small smile played at her lips. "How's the
water?" She choked back a laugh, trying not to make
him feel any worse than he probably did already. "I
bet it's cold, isn't it?" This time, she allowed for
a small chuckle. It was a miracle she hadn't tried
pushing him back in just for another laugh. Rhu was
friendly enough, but she was a bit too mischievious
for her own good.
She stood up on her toes, gauging him. Not like
she was about to pounce on him. Well, maybe, but not
in an attempt to draw blood. No, more like the 'ooh
let's play' kind of pounce. "Who're you?" She
chirped cheerfully.
***Skyler: Ears flattered upon his head. His tail seemed
to droop lower than it had before. Great, the last
thing he needed was a female mocking him at his all
time low. Had he been Dallas, he would have torn
her apart without remorse but he was not his older
brother. He still had a conscience.
His brow raised at her care free demeanor. It
was a little overwhelming especially when he felt
so much self pity. "Skyler" he told her flatly not
really caring if she offered up her own response.
"Do you not have somewhere to be?" he finally said
wondering if she would get the hint.
***Rhu: Oh, she got the hint, all right. Not that she'd
take it, of course. "I don't know. Do you?" She
asked, drawing out the 'you' with a bit too much
exaggeration. She rolled her eyes. "Oh, don't be so
dull, please. What's bothering you, Mr. Skyler?" A
giggle shook her shoulders slightly, but she
stiffled it quickly. She batted her lashes goofily.
Rhufien, on the other hand, didn't have much
room for self pity. She was very much the type who'd
let insults roll right off of her, laugh it off
and /still/ try to be your best friend. Some said
she was just stupid, but that wasn't the case.
Perhaps she just didn't have the emotional capacity
for all the negativity.
***Skyler: Skyler appeared very taken aback. What was she
not getting? Why was she pestering him? As much as
he was content with moving on he was glad to be
conversing with some one. He was even glad not to
be alone in the forest any longer but he wouldn't
let her know that of course. He titled his head
slightly at her display. Was she crazy? Probably a
little bit that much was certain.
He stumbled with his words a little. "I am just
passing through" he told her with a nonchalant
tone. He raised a brow to her infection bubbly-
ness.
He couldn't help but smirk behind the helm at
her display of eccentric behaviour.
***Rhu: She laughed at his -disallowed_word-

Taimatala X Kinkain(antiphobik) Feb 5, 2011
Setting: River, trees
Season: Summer
ToD: Sunset
Weather: Hot, humid
***Kain: The sky was laced with beautiful pastel hues -
orange, purple, red - as the sun began its descent,
signaling the end of the day. Dusk began to fall,
though humidity lingered in the air. The day had
been almost unbearably hot, with few clouds to
combat the sweltering heat of the sun. Reclined by a
slow-gurgling river, a large canine male was
thankful that night was approaching. Though black
flame markings laced up his legs, contrasting with
his blood-red pelt, the male was not fond of warm
weather and rather preferred the wintertime. This
would be strange to many - but if one hung around
him long enough, they'd realize that Kinkain defied
most of the stereotypes of Fire Lupes. The male's
ivory tail swished absently behind him as he calmly
took in his surroundings. He'd spent most of the
humid summer day by the river, under the shade of
the trees that had lined its banks. Now however,
with the onset of nightfall, it was getting cooler;
and Kinkain was getting restless. He was
contemplating whether or not to begin wandering
aimlessly again, as he did most of his days.
***Tai: She hated the heat and humidity. With a passion.
It always made her feel sticky, dirty and overall
really unclean, even though she'd kept to the shade
of the trees throughout the day. As the sun started
to disappear, the large she-lupe heaved herself to
her paws and started down the bank to the water.
Without hesitating, Taimatala waded in until she was
chest deep, soaking her light blue fur. She dove
under, relishing the coolness against her hot pelt.
She resurfaced, shaking out her mane. Rather than
leave the water, she began to wade down the middle,
following the current. She wasn't really sure where
she was going, nor did she really care. She'd always
preferred to be a loner.
***Kain: Kinkain didn't hear the female paddling in his
direction; to him the sound of her paws in the water
melded together with the sound of the gurgling
river. However, as he stood by the banks, her
approaching form could be seen out of the corner of
his eye. As he turned his head to investigate, he
was startled for a moment. He'd thought he was
alone. But he wasn't object to company, especially
considering that he was alone more often than not.
The flame-patterned male raised his ivory tail in a
greeting as she drew closer, making sure he had a
friendly disposition.
***Tai: A soft growl rose in her throat when she caught
sight of the stranger. The way he'd reacted upon
seeing her was enough to say that Tai would probably
be expected to make conversation. Why did her
species always have to be so...friendly? She changed
her original direction and made her way up the bank
towards him, then proceeded to shake the excess
water out of her sodden pelt before even bothering
to say anything to him. "Hey," she muttered,
sounding almost as if she were shy, not badly
mannered.
***Kain: Kinkain made a note of what appeared to be her
shy exterior. He cleared his throat uncomfortably,
for he as well was rather awkward when it came to
the pleasantries of conversation. He dipped his head
in acknowledgement. "Hi," he responded, his gaze
watching her searchingly. He allowed a brief moment
of uncomfortable silence to pass before continuing
lamely, "I uh... haven't seen you around here
before. I'm Kain," he offered. While he was a
vagrant, he often returned to this area by the
river. It was, he supposed, his unofficial home.
***Tai: A small smirk played at her maw. "Of course,
because I'm not from around here. Name's Tai," she
said. "I'm not really from anywhere," she said
thoughtfully. "I travel too much." She might be
rude, but Tai was blunt and to the point. She wasn't
afraid of saying it like it was. Her vanity often
led her to talk about herself all the time-she
wasn't afraid of giving away too much, either.
Besides, it usually gave the chattery ones enough to
chew on to leave her in some state of peace.
***Kain: What she said suggested to Kain that perhaps the
female was not as shy as he'd first assumed. She
seemed rather talkative, actually. Although this was
all his first impressions of her. He told himself
not to judge just yet. He grinned slightly at the
fact that Tai's wandering tendencies sounded a lot
like his own. "Well, that's something we share in
common, Tai," he responded. "I travel as well. I get
restless. Who would want to stay in one place all
the time, anyway?" Kain shrugged and for a moment
let his gaze drift to the magnificent sunset.
Already he could feel his fur start to cool down; he
was grateful for the relief.
***Tai: She raised an eyebrow. "Most seem to want to
settle down." She chuckled softly, adding,
"Although, I'm hardly welcomed anywhere anymore. I
don't always see eye to eye with others." Tai
shrugged carelessly. She didn't really want to
settle somewhere, anyways. Too...restricting. Of
course, things could change. The thought almost made
her laugh. Tai would never, under any circumstance,
change. Not like that.
***Kain: Kain nodded. "Most, perhaps. If they have a
family. But it's just me nowadays." He offered a wry
smile. He, too, shared the opinion that to settle
down would be to restrict his options. While the
life of a vagrant was lonely and devoid of much
purpose, Kain enjoyed his aimless wandering. He
really couldn't imagine just staying in one place
for the rest of his life, even if he did someday
have a family. That thought was very far from his
mind, however. At her next comment, it was Kain's
turn to raise an eyebrow. "Really now? What sort of
views do you have that would cause others to cast
you out like that?" Instead of being put off, he was
intrigued.
***Tai: let her mind wander slightly after his comment.
She did, in fact, have a family. Or rather a
collection of misfits her sister had taken to and
she was forced to accept as well. But they still
didn't keep her tied down. She blinked in slight
surprise at question, not expecting it at all. "I
don't put others before myself" Not even her darling
sister. "To care for the weak is to show the
weakness of oneself_ and I will not fall to that."
She'd rather just kill them off. "I fight for
myself, only for gain." Or fun. Every thought had
run through her head, but she'd decided to cut out
the comments. For ethical purpose, probably.
Regardless, she wasn't exactly what one would
consider 'nice.' Not by most standards.
***Kain: Kain raised his brows at her response. He nodded
slightly, taking it in. In his eyes was the faint
glimmer of amusement, but not in a condescending
manner. "Well, I can see where others may not
approve of that opinion," he commented, chuckling
slightly. She interested him in the fact that she
didn't seem to care either way - she seemed full of
pride at the way she was. Getting comfortable, Kain
lowered himself onto his haunches and curled his
white tail around his paws. He eyed her searchingly,
curious as to what went on in her mind. "Honestly, I
don't think anyone would put others before
themselves all the time. We all have that inner
selfishness to only tend to our own needs, even if
some refuse to show it." He paused, his intellectual
side revealing itself. "Do you really think to care
for others is to show the weakness of yourself?" he
queried. "Many would say that that is strength.".
***Tai: She narrowed her eyes slightly, mimicking his
position as she sat back. She tipped her head to the
side, surveying him. Then Tai smirked. "Yes, that's
exactly what it is. Both a physical and mental. By
stopping to help the weak, you open yourself to
attack. By showing compassion for the weak, you are
hurting yourself-an enemy can use that to his or her
advantage and ultimately weaken you more." She
chuckled. "Hardly a strength, if you ask me. Of
course, everybody has their own views. It's not up
to me to correct them." One might say she was full
of herself. No, just rather...narrow-minded.
***Kain: Kain swished his tail thoughtfully. Had her
views not been so extreme, he would have thought
them reasonable. Of course he didn't agree, but
still - the female intrigued him. She explained her
opinions nonchalantly and as if they were the most
normal thoughts in the world. Still he was not put
off by her. He was interested. "At least you're not
one to force your own opinions on others," he
remarked gratefully. Being rather stubborn himself,
he never appreciated this. "You sound like you're
speaking from experience," he added with a small
smirk that mirrored her own. "Do you have so many
enemies that you must always be looking out for
yourself that way?" His question was not poised as a
challenge, it was just his own curiosity. The two
right now seemed to be polar opposites, but
strangely Kain could see himself getting along with
Tai.
***Tai:She shrugged. "I suppose you could call them
enemies. I don't care much for some of the anarchies
I've come across, and I've ended up leading a few
government-changing rebellions." Tai smiled at some
old memory. "Naturally, nobody's happy with being
unseated by a female, so they hold some pretty ugly
grudges. It does mean I have to keep on guard all
the time, but I've grown used to it. I was
practically born that way." Her sister would always
joke about that. Of course, she never had to run for
her life. "But I don't think I'd prefer it any other
way. It keeps me from growing lazy," she said,
laughing softly. Her laugh, though quiet, could
still feel cold and dark.
***Kain: Kain chuckled again, although shivering
involuntarily at her sinister laugh. Thinking about
it, she seemed like the personification of ice. He
smirked at the thought. He was fire, she was ice -
what a strange occurance that they would meet. At
her final comment he laughed again. "Lazy certainly
isn't a good thing. That's why I like to be on the
move all the time." He paused for a moment. "You
sound like you've lead an interesting life, Tai," he
observed. "I wish I could say the same." A wry smirk
weaved its way across his muzzle. "Care to elaborate
on your adventures, so I can live vicariously
through you?".
***Tai: She nodded. "I suppose you could call it
interesting. My sister calls it reckless." She
shrugged. "But sure. Hmm...well, my mother and
father split up soon after my sister and I were
weaned. I went with my father, my sister with mum.
He taught me everything I know, and trained me as
well as he could. It wasn't an easy life. In order
to beat the weakness out of me, he never made
allowances for me. I was expected to catch my own
food from the start, and should I fall behind I had
to scent my way after him until I found where he'd
stopped for the night. Some would call it cruel, but
if he hadn't brought me up as such I'd be soft and
helpless." She snorted. "When I was old enough, I
met his 'friends,' if you will. A band of regicides.
They were plotting against an old tyrant....felt
like the next thing I knew, I was a spy in the
tyrant's highest circles." She paused, taking a
breath.
***Kain: As she talked, Kain listened intently. The tip
of his tail flickered thoughtfully. He was rather
surprised at how open she was about her past; the
two were still just strangers, after all. But he was
grateful that she seemed to trust him enough. From
what he'd learned in his travels, another's past
tended to be a sore subject. But so far, Tai's
didn't seem to be littered with tragedy; instead it
was just plain intriguing. He thought for a moment
at how her father raised her. He figured that this
is where her personality came from - so it was not a
result of being wronged. At least as far as he knew.
Kain nodded, motioning for her to continue. He was
enthralled with the tale she spun.
***Tai: She continued on. "He trusted me, that old fool,
and listened to everything I said. It was too easy
to convince him to choose me as his mate, and that
was what set the whole plan in motion. I quickly
helped the other rebels into higher, trusted
positions, and before long we were his inner circle.
The date was set for the uprising, we'd already
spread the word among his enemies within his own
people. We got rid of him, along with his true
loyals, and set the people free. But on our escape,
we scattered-to throw off the pursuers-and I ended
up cornered by his darling brother. He knocked me
out and kidnapped me." She snorted, as if the
thought of her losing that fight was a bad joke.
***Kain: The attitude in her voice made Kain chuckle a
bit. She certainly appeared to be prideful. There
was nothing wrong with that, he told himself. He
couldn't resist wondering if she disliked the fact
that she had helped those suffering under the tyrant
by overthrowing him. After all, hadn't she just said
that helping others equaled weakness in her eyes? But
perhaps she would address that point later in her
story. Another thought crossed his mind - she
mentioned that she had a sister, where did she come
into play? He decided to keep the questions in his
mind silent; he didn't want to interrupt her story.
He wanted to know what was going to happen next, how
she would free herself.
***Tai: ."At first, I just played along with his games.
He was a lonely old Lupe, and hoped to somehow
brainwash me into being his companion. I led him to
believe that I trusted him, and it proved
worthwhile; he wasn't quite as senile as I'd first
thought. I learned some things from him, which had
proven useful...I began to actually care for him.
Not only was he intelligent, but he treated me as an
equal. He was the father I'd never truly had," she
murmered wistfully. "But, of course, things didn't
last, as they never seem to. He grew ill, and it was
up to me to take care of him. But everything I tried
wouldn't work." She sighed softly. "And then, it was
like the scent of his illness brought them. A band
of rogues. They scoffed at me for staying with him,
and there were too many...I took out a few, but I
couldn't fight them all and protect him at the same
time. I shielded him, taking every blow they dealt,
until I couldn't take it and turned on them. When
they finally fled, I saw his blood pooled around his
body, and I knew it was too late. That was the day I
knew that it was foolish to care for others." She
watched him with keen eyes. "Shall I continue?".
***Kain: Kain nodded slowly in understanding. So it was
an event in her life that had made her loathe
putting others before herself. Though he didn't
share her view that it was pointless, he was in no
position to judge. After all, one's past tended to
determine one's future. Not to say that people
couldn't change. He related to her because it was an
event in his own past that had made him acquire a
rather strange fear which he didn't enjoy talking
about. Kain felt a bit sad for her; he guessed that
there was perhaps some longing for a better parental
figure in her past. He had been blessed with caring
parents - that is, until they were both taken from
him one fateful day. Kain shuddered and forced the
memory from his mind. Her question caught him off
guard, as he had been daydreaming. But he shook his
head to clear it. "Yes, continue," he prompted her.
***Tai: ."I was forced to continue on alone from there
on. However, I found traces of the brutes who killed
my friend, and realized that I was following them. I
decided to track them. They were foolish, believing
that they were invincible. I could walk through
their camp when they slept," she scoffed. "I even
did so occaisionally. I'd watch them terrorize
others nearly every day. I gained knowledge about
them. They were heading back to their pack, though I
still find it nothing more than a corrupt bunch of
rogues. Once I discovered the pack's location, I
killed them off, one by one, before continuing on.
Eventually I came upon said pack, and as before I
convinced them to take me in and to trust me. I
gained ranks, then slaughtered their leader in the
dead of night and leaving before they knew what'd
happened. It was a bloody path, I'll admit, and it
was out of pure malice. But I felt the need for
revenge, and so, I took it." She smirked at the
thought. "I suppose I became a sort of regicide. I
travel, I get rid of the corrupt leaders, one way or
another." She shrugged.
***Kain: When she finished her story, Kain sat for a
moment and thought about it. This female had a lot
of bloodshed on her paws, and yet she didn't seem
phased by it. It was a bit disturbing, but still,
Kain admired her composure. He was very much a
cautious and gentle male, and couldn't imagine
taking the lives of others - his conscience would
probably destroy him if he ever did. But he'd
already established the differences between him and
Tai. He felt she was stronger than him in many ways -
or just more sadistic. Kain blinked and glanced at
her, nodding. "It's somewhat of a noble mission
you've taken on," he observed. With a smirk, he
added, "It must annoy you that it's beneficial to
others." He paused for another moment. "You seem
quite capable on your own, but do you ever have a
companion to help you?" Did she even want one?
***Tai: She smirked. "This is a different kind of help.
Indeed, I do help them. But I get rid of a potential
threat to not just them but myself," it was probably
a weak excuse, but she'd stick to it, "and I give
them the opportunity to strengthen themselves. I'm
not enabling them, so it's not the same. They always
try to find a way to repay me in some way or
another, so it's beneficial to myself, as well.
See?" Tai laughed. She wasn't completely heartless,
though she tried to be. "Hardly. I come across my
sister and her adopted family often, but I never
stay and they never follow. I don't see much reason
for a...'companion,'" she said, tilting her head
thoughtfully to the side.
***Kain: Kain laughed. He could see he would never get
her to admit that she ever would assist others, at
least in the sense of getting nothing in return.
There was nothing very wrong with that, he thought.
Everyone had the innermost desire to benefit from
something. Even the most selfless appearing of
people did good deeds because it made them feel
good. "Fair enough," the male relented, grinning. At
her next words he nodded. "You don't seek
companionship even to fill the emptiness?" he
questioned. "I may live the life of a vagrant and
love it... but loneliness is something I could do
without. At least in such large quantities. I just
find it... boring." He paused for a moment and
chuckled. "Of course, what you do isn't boring in
the least, I'm sure. I just wander without a
purpose." He shrugged remorsefully. He'd often
longed for his own direction in life, but hadn't
found one as of yet.
***Tai: Tai remained silent for a few moments, pondering.
"I agree, loneliness isn't all that it's cracked up
to be. I suppose I would appreciate some form of
company now and then." She wasn't entirely sure what
he was getting at, if anything at all. "But I don't
want to put another in danger that they can't
handle. It would be a danger to them, a danger to
me, and a danger to whatever feat we are trying to
accomplish. And the path I follow can be stressful."
She laughed. "But it's quite a rush, I must admit."
Tai didn't really know if it was the life she wanted
to follow forever. Truth be told, she'd rather be
the leader instead of the leader-slayer. But she'd
never admit that, even to herself.
***Kain: Kain acknowledged her response with a curt nod.
"I was just wondering," he confessed. "As you hadn't
mentioned anyone else accompanying you along any of
your journeys." He was also subtly questioning
whether or not his presence had been a burden to
her. He couldn't imagine that she didn't desire some
interaction every once in a while. And she hadn't
seemed to not want to hold up her end of the
conversation. At her next words, the male offered a
half-smirk. "Based on your judgment, do you think
any of your tasks would be a danger I couldn't
handle?" A playful challenged flickered in his gaze.
Honestly, however, he couldn't deny to himself that
helping her overthrow some tyrannical dictator would
be the thrill of his life.
***Tai: She remained silent for a few moments once
again. "It's not that I don't enjoy company. I
really do. It makes life more fun." She smirked.
"But I don't know you well enough to be the judge of
that. Some of the things I've done have nearly
killed me, and I've been trained for things like
that. Without training, it could mean death." And
she wasn't sure she could be there to bail her
partner out if they needed it. She certainly could
try, but couldn't assure their safety. She decided
to keep this thought to herself. She laughed softly.
"Do YOU think you could handle it?".
***Kain: Kain pondered her reply. He wore a rather cocky
smirk, but he was not naive. He could imagine the
dangers of such a task. One could not simply walk in
and overthrow a tyrant; there were plans and
scheming and strategizing. And then, there was
actually carrying out what you planned - and he was
sure there would be many there to oppose them. "I am
too cautious in my life," he thought aloud,
chuckling slightly. His hesitance was a quality
about himself that Kain loved and hated. It had kept
him safe, but he had never experienced thrills like
this mission would surely give him. "I think it
would be a shame if I allowed an opportunity to 'let
go' go to waste." He focused his blue eyes on her.
"And wouldn't it be safer with two?" He grinned.
"Come on... you're the brains, I'm the brawn. What
do you say?" Kain laughed, a mischievous twinkle in
his eyes.
***Tai: Tai grinned mischievously. "You have no idea what
you're getting into." The idea of a 'partner in
crime' strangely appealed to her. Sure, she pulled
off plenty of stunts on her own, no problem. But
another set of paws would without a doubt be useful.
Still, she didn't really know him yet. "What are
your skills? Fighting style? If you're really, truly
interested in helping me out, we'll have to know
each other inside and out." She smirked. "Any other
commitments you've got running? You haven't
mentioned any 'special friend,' but if you've got
one I'd highly recommend that you reconsider. The
last thing I need is someone after me if you wind up
dead.".
***Kain: . "Perhaps not, but I'm ready to find out," he
responded with a smirk. At her barrage of questions,
he had to pause and think for a moment. Not that he'd
never had to defend himself before, but he couldn't
go as far as saying that he had a 'fighting style'.
"I use my strength," he finally concluded, shrugging.
"I'm not that quick or nimble, but I can be a brute
force if need be." Her next comment elicited a laugh
from him. "'Special friend'? Hardly. I'm alone." It
was the truth, and it had never really bothered him.
But he realized now, as his smirk faded a bit, that
if he never came back, no one would miss him. He'd
be buried along with his name. He wondered what sort
of force was driving him to want to do this; it was
totally uncharacteristic of him. Then again - what
did he have to lose?
***Tai: She narrowed her eyes, looking him over. "Not
nearly good enough. We can work to refine your
abilities so that you can be 'quick and nimble.' And
there are some simple moves you will learn." She
shook her head. "But not to worry. Brute strength
can be a good thing in plenty occaisions. But you
need to be cunning, as well." She flicked an ear in
slight alarm when he laughed. And when his smirk
faultered slightly, it was as if she read his mind.
"Darling, you're making a name for yourself. You
won't be a nobody when you go down. You might be a
little infamous, but it's that type that are never
forgotten. Nobody will remember the goodie-goodies
who won't get their paws a little dirty." A knowing
gleam lit up her eyes.
***Kain: He raised his brows as she told him he wasn't
good enough, not prepared for the bluntness, but not
really bothered by it either. Obviously he wasn't a
seasoned fighter, nor was he at all used to what
this sort of job may require. But he could learn.
Kain took in her next words as an attempt to comfort
him, as she had somehow guessed his thoughts. He
chuckled a bit and nodded. "You're probably right.
Although I don't intend to 'go down' - not just
yet." A cocky smirk wove across his muzzle; the
confidence uncharacteristic of him, but perhaps
something he was forcing to mask the uncertainty
hovering in the back of his mind. Kain rose to his
paws, his white tail swishing behind him. "Alright,
it appears we have some work to do then. Show me the
ropes, teacher." The male grinned.
***Tai: She grimmaced. "Well, here's the thing. You will
die. That's a fact of life. But your main goal must
be to prolong your inevitable fate to the fullest of
your capabilities while, well, pushing your luck."
She exchanged the grimmace for a happier smile. "But
if your up to it, then..." Tai straightened up.
"Attack me. Show me what you've got." She tensed her
body, poised to take a hit should he decide to do
it. Yet her head was still held somewhat high,
watching him through intelligent eyes. A smirk
crossed her face, not quite cocky, but nonetheless a
challenge in itself.
***Kain: Kain wondered if she thought he was naive - of
course he realized that death was imminent, for all
mortals. But, though maybe he should have, he did
not think of this task as something that would take
his life. Could it? Sure. But he had an overwhelming
sense that together they would succeed. What a
strange day this had been; he, fire, had met ice,
his opposite, and she appeared to be opening a whole
new world for the cautious male. As she prompted him
to attack her, he nodded slowly as if reluctant to
do so. However, she was the experienced one here. He
cleared his throat and studied her position, looking
for what might be a weaker area. He focused his gaze
on her face, to not betray where he was planning to
attack. Then he surged forward and lunged at her
lower leg, attempting to throw her off balance.
***Tai: She rolled to the side easily, coming back to a
stand in one fluid motion. "Do you think I don't
know that trick? It's the most over-used of them
all! To trick your opponent into thinking that you're
going for one thing, then go for something else..
I've yet to meet one who doesn't use that initially.
It's best to follow through with exactly what it
looks the first time, because that's what they will
least expect!" She nodded once with a kind gaze in
her eyes, trying to take away any sting she may have
inflicted. "Now, attack me again." She lifted
herself to the same stature as before, gaging him
steadily.
***Kain: As she swiftly dodged his blow, Kain stumbled
into the ground, clumsily skidding on his stomach.
His ears flattened in embarrassment and he quickly
rose to his paws, shaking his pelt of dirt and
debris. He hoped she wouldn't judge him just yet; he
was hardly experienced at all, and beginner mistakes
would likely be prevalent. "Trying too hard to be
unpredictable is predictable. Got it," he relayed
her advice with a chuckle, turning to face her once
more. This time he didn't try so much to control
where his gaze fell. Instead he just went straight
for his target. As he surged forward once more, he
was aiming for her shoulderblade.
***Tai: As he made contact, Tai lifted her opposite paw
and tried to wrap it around the back of his neck,
putting her full weight on her hind legs. She moved
silently, though a slight snarl was plastered across
her maw, a habit that was just as ingrained as taking
defensive measures. However, she'd chosen to override
that habit, leaving her guard down to pay more
attention to him. She wasn't afraid-should he
suddenly decide to really turn on her, she didn't
expect him to last long.
***Kain: Mid-assault, Kain felt the pressure of her paw
on his neck. He was impressed at how fluid her
motions seemed compared to his own clunky movements,
though he knew that she was vastly more experienced
than he. By the end of their 'training sessions' he
felt confident that he could be at least mostly up-
to-par with her skills. Though he didn't have much
time to think these thoughts, as his head was forced
downwards towards the ground. He tensed his muscles,
pushing hard on the ground with his forelegs as he
tried to keep himself upright. As his head was
lowered, he attempted to nip at her ankle, gently -
he didn't actually want to draw blood.

Williav X Zrix(lupe_lover_allways) Feb 14, 2011
Setting: Plain w/ oak trees here and there
Season: Winter
ToD: Night (Crescent moon)
Weather: Misty
***Zrix: As a low mist rolls across a desolate plain the
glowing crescent moon peeks out from behind the
clouds. Gnarled oak trees speckle the horizon
casting long shadows on the ground. The area once
lush and floral and full of life has a new felt
sense of emptiness due to the hardships of winter.
Floating amongst the twisted branches of an aged oak
is a rather petite faellie with a ghostly green glow
emitting from her body. A flash of fierce crimson
appears as she circles the branches playfully.
Quietly laying at the base of the tree, ears
twitching at the sound of the wind whistling and his
companion, is a large canine figure covered in
violet fabric trimmed in gold.
***Willi: Her white pelt blended somewhat well into the
mist, which proceded to cling to it, save for the
contrasting dark purple flames that spread along her
body. She'd gone off in search of her sister, but to
no avail; the cold she-lupe was nowhere to be found.
Sighing, she retired to a rest at the roots of a
nearby tree, but was brought to an abrupt stop when
she saw that the spot was already occupied. She
flicked an ear, purple eyes watching the figure
wearily. Then, she took another step forward, hoping
that whoever it was could see her.
***Zrix: Having no faith in his companion to keep any
sort of watch the shaggy brute was still on his
guard. He heard the female approaching, she was so
light on her feet. A small twitch of a grin appeared
at the corner of his maw, however quickly
disappeared. He stayed still, breathing steadily,
the hood of his cloak draped over his face only two
pearly tusks peaking out from under it.
The Tiny Faellie, not being one of grace takes a
more abrupt approach to the appearance of the
strange female by bolting to the ground colliding
with figure at the bottom. "OWE!" a low voice
rumbled as he swatted for his friend swiftly pinning
her by her tail to the ground
***Willi: She chuckled softly, then continued forward
until she could see him more clearly, though she
quickly noticed that he wore a long purple cloak or
some sort. "Hello," she said in a soft soprano
voice, her eyes holding the same tenderness of her
tone. She smiled at the sight of the pair before
her. While the male would seem intimidating alone,
the fact that his companion was a Faellie made him
seem much less scary. "I'm Williav," she said,
dipping her head.
***Zrix: "Pixel!" peeped up the Faellie, her voice quite
high pitched yet melodic in its own way "I'm Pixel!"
Her tiny wings flapping frantically to get closer to
Williav but to no avail. A sigh escapes from under
the gold trimmed hood and the large figure rises to
his feet, continuing his firm hold on Pixel's
tail. "I apologize for her forwardness, she uhh..
lacks certain boundaries" the males voice was of a
full tenner tone, not as deep as one would assume.
He bowed his head low towards the new comer "Hello
Williav, I am Zrix." as his head rises his hood
falls back to remove the shadow from his face
revealing a set of vividly coloured green eyes.
***Willi: Williav smiled warmly. "Hello, Pixel," she said
before turning her comment to the Lupine. "I have a
close friend who's quite the same, so it's no
bother." Oh Rhu, how much she would like to have the
strange little Lupess by her side. But she was busy
at the time being. It couldn't be helped. She was
surprised by the sight of his vivid eyes, sharply
breathing in and doubletaking. "You have lovely
eyes," she commented, laughing under her breath.
She'd never seen such eyes as his, they were
so...well, breathtaking. She laughed at herself
again.
***As Zrix's attention was directed yo Williav, Pixel
took the oppertunity to wiggle herself free. She
darted up and landed swiftly on atop his
head. "Aren't they purdy" Pixel squeaked as she
reached down and yanked up his eyelids. "Seriously
Pix?" he shook his head to free himself from little
paws. His gaze then returns to Williav. "Thank you
miss, bit of attention grabbers aren't they" He
chuckled, a care free smile forming. "And may I ask
what as brought you to this-" He paused to look at
the decaying landscape " Vivacious atmosphere?" His
eyes returned to meet her gaze.
***Willi: She held back another laugh, turning her gaze
to the ground as he scolded his companion. "I'm
looking for my sister. She's disappeared again, and,
well, things don't go well when she's on her own.
She's not afraid to shed blood, and one of these
days she's going to anger the wrong person." Williav
always seemed to be the mediator for her disjointed
family. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep them all in
check at the same time. "I doubt she would've come
through here, though. It seems rather...desolate.
There's hardly enough life to warrant her being
here." She sighed. "But what about you? What brings
you here?".
***Zrix: Zrix nodded " You are the first I've come across
in days" he said softly, pondering quietly to
himself about the behaviours of her sister. He
snapped out of his train of thought " Myself, I'm
here as a sort of extended vacation". He managed to
force a chuckle. Pixel, looking quite confused by
his remark wispered something inaudable into his
ear. "Not the time little one" he wispered back to
her quietly
