Introduction

As you slowly wandered around Happy Valley with a tint of excitement in your eye, you happened to come across a small cave-looking area. You lowered your head to peek inside. All was full of shadows. You looked around you to make sure everything was still there. It was. Everything was normal. You can't remember seeing this cave before. Did anyone else know it was here? You were stuck with a decision of; quickly running away now before anything bad happens and pretending you didn't notice the cave, or, be the first to explore the cave. The second thought made you feel kind of special. You took another peek inside the cave, which made you unsure of going inside. It seemed quite small. The mouth of the cave looked lower than inside. It was in the edge of Terror Mountain, just outside the entrance to the Ice Caves. Where did it come from? Snow was piled up outside it, and as you crouched to have a closer look, you noticed light imprints of paw-shaped markings in it. Something must live in there. And by the size of the paw prints you wondered how, whatever the creature was, could fit through the hole. You were just about to leave when there was a quick glimmer coming from the cave. Atleast you thought there was...
You flicked around to stare at it. The cave seemed strangely welcoming and didn't look scary at all. What could happen? You thought to yourself. And with that, you fell to your hands and knees, and crawled into the darkness and warmth of the cave, to see whatever was awaiting you.

It wasn't as dark as it looked. Your eyes adjusted to the dark pretty quickly, and you could easily find your way around. There was only one way to go, so you knew you couldn't get lost. The roof of the cave seemed to be getting higher, and the walls, wider. Soon, you came to a small opening, and there were two tunnels leading off in different directions, on the opposite side of you. Obviously, you paused to think which you should go down. Then, you heard a low growl. You flinched and pushed your chest to the ground, trying to keep as low as possible. What on Earth?
The growl echoed from one of the opposite tunnels. Then another came. And another. Then, something started to become visible in the tunnel where the growling was coming from. Your eyes widened in fright. You saw rather large cream and green paws coming towards you. Quickly, you closed your eyes; it must be a dream.
When you opened them, you looked up to see a rather small, strangely friendly-looking Kougra, staring down at you with glowing emerald eyes. You were too shocked for words. And it looked as if the Kougra was too. It was nothing like a Kougra you had seen before. But yet, not as odd as you have seen.
So... What brings you here?
Mumbled the Kougra.
W-Wha?
The Kougra smiled. He didn't look so scary as you first thought. He looked peaceful and rather friendly.
That's not important. But please stop staring...
He began, giving you an odd look.
Oh... sorry.
Nevermind. Follow me, I'll share what I have to tell.

And with that, the Kougra told you a lot about himself, in which you listened carefully.
