I peeked my head in Inzidora's door. The girl was fast asleep. That changed as soon as I stepped inside. Her eyes flew open, and she spring out of bed.
ʺI am I really that noticeable?ʺ I whispered, refusing to believe that she'd heard me. Inzidora shook her head.
ʺI've had practice noticing things.ʺ Her expres.sion quickly changed to one of confusion. ʺWhat are you doing here?ʺ She really forgot that fast? I figured a good stare would fix that. ʺOh, you're kidding me. We're doing that tonight?ʺ I nodded. Inzidora wasn't getting out of this one. ʺI thought you were joking.ʺ
ʺReally?ʺ My eyes rolled.
ʺOkay, I thought you'd forget.ʺ Mental face palm. Now she's just trying to cover up the fact that she forgot. I handed her a cloak without saying a word. ʺI guess that's a no, huh? You're taking this way too seriously.ʺ
I smiled. That's why it was fun, but it might take a bit more to convince Inzidora. ʺThink of it as a training exercise. You're going to have to infiltrate an enemy base someday.ʺ
She shrugged. ʺI don't know… This isn't an enemy base. It's another section of our group.ʺ
When will she ever learn how to have fun? Some people just cannot follow their own orders. ʺIn war, thinking like that might get you injured.ʺ
ʺI've never done anything like this before,ʺ she said, but begrudgingly pulled on the cloak. She looked up. ʺWhat if we get caught?ʺ
I laughed. Was there any other point to doing this? ʺWhat, you're going to let that stop you? Besides, we'll be careful. I've done stuff like this a million times. I'm going with or without you.ʺ
She sighed in submission. ʺYou are completely crazy.ʺ
Trust me, I know.
