Welcome, guest!

To Revan80's guide to becoming rich!

Attention! Due to recent events, it is inevitable that that I can't play on a daily basis. As a result, this guide will slowly be worked on. Updates will be posted, check back soon.

Soguest, want lots of spare neopoints? Here are three standard ways to achieve them.

Section1 GAMES

Games are the fun (usually) to earn neopoints. It does not get much easier, YOU ARE GETTING PAID TO PLAY GAMES!!!Play games you are good at. Don't tell me, "I'm not good at any games!"Come on, there are over 160 games, and you will still tell me you are not good at a single one of them? That is hard to believe, especially since there are a plethora of easy ones. Try new games, that is what I do occasionally when I have spare time. The results can be good.

My Favorite Games

Here, guest, is a list of my top5 High-paying games(in order):

  • Faerie Cloud Racers - This game is like tailblazers, if any of you have played that. All you do is pick a faerie,(they are all the same, no special powers or anything)and battle it out with another faerie. Your faerie will leave a trail wherever it goes and you must trap the opponent with it. It is easy and with a little practice, I got the maximum 1,000 neopoints.

  • Petpet Rescue - I don't know why this game is classified as 'medium'.It is relatively easy, and requires little practice. The pay is high for this one, and I always send scores above 200. The pay is 300np for 100points. So, that is 600 neopoints! Play three times, and you got (depending on your score)anywhere from 1500 to 2000 neopoints.

  • Mootix Drop- Play on easy, or medium. I find it very challenging on medium, so I play on the 'easy' mode. Always go for the small target to score maximum points. Also, go for the center of every ring to get a 'perfect ring' and get a few more points. You will need to practice a little bit and send scores 550 and up. Your score is the amount of neopoints for this game, so if it is low, try again.

  • Extreme Herder- Save the bonus pets first( they have a halo over their head) because they give you extra points. I find the warp panels confusing me, so I quit using them. If you find them helpful, then you can use them. Try sending all scores above 125, for that will give you at least 500 neopoints. Go for the snowflake as soon as you see it to temporarily freeze Balthazar. If you can spare the time, go for the speed orb.

  • Snowball Fight- There is not much to explain here. Just throw a snowball at the pet on the parachute. Don't hit the faeries because you lose 10 snowballs.

Those are my top games to play when extra time is available, along with a summary and a few tips to go along with it.

Section2Your Shop

Your shop is your best neopoint making friend you will have. In here you can sell your junk or rare items, for a nice profit.

What to sell

Many people do not know what to sell in their shop. The answer is anything. To help explain this better, answer these questions:

  • Does this item serve a significant purpose?
  • Have I used it lately?
  • Will I use it in the near future?
  • Do I have to keep it?
  • Can I live without this item?
  • Have I kept it stored for a while?

guest if you have answered "no" to the first four and "yes" to the last two, then sell it.

The Right Price

When selling an item, the price must be within reason. Don't put what you think the item is worth. Sadly, that is true, because your item(s) will probabily become under or overpriced. Thus, you might get ripped off, or it will never sell.

Also, a big no-no is to price items based on their value when you look at them in your inventory. For example, a 'Blue Ixi Plushie' has a value of 6,122 neopoints! In the shop wizard, it goes for maybe 50 np. See, what I mean guest your 'Blue Ixi Plushie' will never sell!

Sometimes, the value is less than the current price. For example, a Nerkmid has an estimated value of 550 neopoints! When they sell for much more (depending on which nerkmid it is).

Alright, you know what not to price the item, so now it is time to know what the price tag should be. Well, my prices are all based on the shop wizard. I first highlight the item, right click it, copy it, and paste it on the wiz. Then, refresh three times to find the lowest price. Price your item 5np lower than the lowest price in order to get a sale. At times, your profit will not be that great, but it is still more neopoints for you! I'll touch up on profits later. It is important to be patient, especially on expensive items. People buy food more than they buy houses. Same principal applies here.

Restocking

Restocking can earn guest, millions of neopoints!Thats correct! Okay, lets start out by defining the word 'restock'. The definition is:'to stock again'. Short, but true. The purpose of this is to go to various Neopian shops(sometimes low-priced player-run shops) and purchase an item and sell it in your shop for a higher price. Scroll up for information on what to price your item. If you don't have a shop, then go hereto get one. Now, you've got a shop without any stock. Okay, stick to something simple, such as, the Food Shop. Here, is an easy, profitable shop. For example, say you purchase a 'Can of Neocola' for 100 neopoints there. Maybe a tad less if you haggled for a while. Anyway, if you refresh a couple times on the shop wizard, you'll find that it might sell for around the price of 150 neopoints. Therefore, you have a, you guessed it, fifty neopoint profit! That may not seem like much, but say you bought four of them. You just earned yourself 200 neopoints! Now that you got the basics down, practice a little. Try doing that with basic shops such as: Food, Book, Pharmacy, and Toy shops.

As for your shop size, don't make it to large because you might end up spending to much neopoints on enlarging your shop. My shop is not even a size twenty! I still earn lots of neopoints from it anyway. Since you must pay 200 more neopoints then you previously paid, you'll start spending fortunes on upgrading your shop. The price will eventually creep up to around 150,000 points for one upgrade!

To figure out when shops restock, you can look at there ID number for their URl. The Food shop is #1 according to the URL at the top of my screen. Therefore, it is the first shop in all of Neopia to stock. Followed by the #2 shop (whatever that is). There comes a wave effect and it goes down through all the shops. If you know when the Food Shop has a restock, you can wait at other stores to get you an advantage of getting the item you might want.

Sometimes, a shop will stock a very rare item. Like in the Magic Shop, they might have a morphing potion for somewhere around 30,000 neopoints! It is a high price, but sells for a fortune. Don't bank on rare stocks like these because people will type incredibly fast to get it. If you want to quicky travel to these shops, I suggest opening a few windows of different stores for easy navigation.

Possibly the best shop to go to is the Igloo Garage. There, you can find the greatest deals in all of Neopia. Codestones hover around 300 neopoints! As you probabily know, they sell anywhere from 3,500 to 5,000 neopoints! Thats an awesome deal! Aside from codestones, there are a few other bargains in there. A tip when in there, remember this:As soon as you see something, buy it!. The reason I say that is because all of the store's items will be gone in seconds! Literally, when I went to buy something it was gone, as well as all the other items. You got to type very fast, and be very patient if you want to purchase anything here. Just stay in the shop and refresh until it stocks again. Be warned that countless other neopians are doing the EXACT same thing. One last note:If you keep refreshing in any shop, you can get banned from shops. Not the player-run shops, just regular Neopian shops.

You should not haggle for too long because other people may grab it before you! Only haggle a few times, and go a tad lower then the asking price. The only time I haggle for a while is when there are like over ten in stock. Also, when it is not in a competitive shop. By competitive, I mean like the Toy Store. All it's items are gone in less then one minute (or at least most of them).

Restocking or RSing (as it is now called), takes a little practice at first. Especially if you are a slow typer, and/or you have a slow internet connection. Use easy-to-type numbers such as:1212, 555, or something along those lines. You should not type long or weird numbers. Lets say you are going to purchase something for 1,386 neopoints. That will take an eternity to type and will probabily lose the item(if it is rare). In this particular situation, offer 1222 neopoints to quickly obtain the item.

Some people (like me) restock at a few select shops. I recommend starting out at the Food Shop. The Food store has lots of items in stock and not that competitive. Unlike the Book Store. Inside, it is crazy, mainly because books are high in demand. Everyone wants to make there pets more intelligent, or even get on the high scores list!Anyway, if you can get your hands on a book, that is great. You can sell it for a high price and a nice profit. About sticking to indivdual shops, only do so if you are in a mall, and are required to. Don't think that malls are bad now, they are pretty good. Join one later, once you find out what shops you excel at.

Keep in mind that the third of every month is half-price day. Try not to miss out, especially since it is only once a month. On this day, you must be extra fast and patient between stocks. Buy anything you see, for you are bound to make a profit, wether it is large or small.

When restocking, don't be afraid to spend a lot of neopoints. It will come back later, along with lots more! Spending as much as tens of thousands of dollars is fine. It will come back in your shop till as a lot more. Anyone and everyone can become a neopian millionare, that includes you, guest.

Section3 Stockmarket

The stockmarket is an investment, a slow, patient way to earn neopoints. I will begin by explaining the basics to it. First off, you'll need starting money, maybe around 50,000-100,000 neopoints spare, or earning 15k daily. For me, I do not have time to play games for all of my 15,000 neopoints. As a result, I tend to use my neopoints from my bank. That is not a bad thing, as some may be lead to believe. I am, by no means, spending neopoints, this is because I'm investing them. The money will return to me, but as a larger sum.
