the dark woods were illuminated only by the moon which made Zari look like a ghost when it shone on her back. She looked around even though she didn't need to, nobody ever came this deep into forest, and took off through the trees. She ran until she came to a construction site at the very far end of town, there she went up to the trailer in front of it and kicked the door open shouting, "WAKEUP! TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT LOSERS!" The trailer had three boys stacked on top of each other snoring so loudly the earth seemed to shake with each inhale. Zarimna entered the trailer, and kick the boys repeatedly until their eyes flickered open. "Zar, what the heck?" "Little girl you tryin' to kill us" they answered to the gruesome beat, "Come on guys! Tonight we can do it! The stars have aligned, oh its amazing!!", "Huh?" said the first boy, Mitch, "WE CAN DO IT! We can kill the sun!" Zari claimed "Are you serious" asked the second boy said, Myles, "Idiots you're wasting time! Get the faellie out of this trailer right now!!" Zarimna screamed. When they heard that statement all four of them took off into the night.

After running at top speed for what seemed like forever the pale group reached the end of interstate 75 the sun started to come up. Mel was the first to see the color of the sky lighten, without saying a word he grabbed Zari's skirt and tugged it slightly. She froze, ears down, ready to attack whatever latched onto her, and gave a nice sturdy kick to the lower abdomen. Mitch and Myles came to immediately Mel's aid, running while dragging Mel in she may come after them too. Zarimna looked up as if in wonder why god made such idiots when she noticed a yellow streak across the Canadian sky. What was this a prank? That idiot Mel tricked her! They wanted to break the sun on their own! She shot across the snow, almost blending in with her pigment so white, going in the same direction as the boys. She was desperate, the sun was rising fast melting the snow behind her making each step slicker and more off balance. She was just in the shadows and the ray of sunlight was closing in on her but there was no where for her to take shade. Where were those boys? With that last thought she slipped and fell in the wet grass with spots of snow which embraced her head on with icy fingers. She needs to get the witch while the stars are crossed otherwise she'll have to wait another 20 years before she can move around freely. Wait icy
fingers, was she unconscious having a dream? What was going on, why can't she move?

Sure the sun causes her to have serious skin damage that can kill her, but she should be able to move. She felt darkness and slender, cold fingers caressing her face. At once Zarimna's eyes shot open, she stared at a beautiful women with a long black hair. The woman had beautiful
pale eyes that made Zarimna feel at home and safe, so she was startled when the woman asked "So have you come for the sun? Or do you plan to sleep through the solar eclipse?" Zari shot up in bed. The eclipse! Those idiots sidetracked and ditched her like the slorgs they are! She needed to get out of here and find the witch! "Haha, oh what are you scared of Usul?" Zarimna turned her head slowly to the woman. She was about 5'5 and was dressed in a long black cloak, strange for 20th century Canada, and was carrying a long metal pole with a glass ball at the end covered in string ornaments. How could she be so ignorant? This woman was the witch Lenore! "Aaaah, so you know who I am now do you?" a smirk appeared on Lenore's face, her voice sickly sweet like molasses.

Albinism
Zarimna, Mel, Myles, and Mitch all suffer from severe albinism, they have visual problems where it is very painful to see during the day and even then they see little or nothing at all. They are all social outcasts. Even though in humans you can't get skin cancer from albinism, in Usuls and Bearogs(if they ever make a white Bearog) the sun can be deadly. It cooks the lympth nodes to a point where they can't defend against pathogens, or germs, and then kills them by illness. Even if they have a less severe form of albinism where this does not occur, albinism in usuls causes all skin cancer growths to grow 100x faster than the average growth and making them more susceptible to getting skin cancer in the first place.

Albinism (from Latin albus, "white") is a congenital disorder characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes due to absence or defect of an enzyme involved in the production of melanin. Albinism results from inheritance of recessive gene alleles and is known to affect all vertebrates, including Usuls.
In physical terms, humans with albinism commonly have vision problems and need sun protection. But they also face social and cultural challenges (even threats) as the condition is often a source of ridicule, discrimination, or even fear and violence.
