IntroductionHello guest! Welcome to the page "All about Kougras"!What is a Kougra you may ask? Well, let me tell you! They are just about the most cuddly, the most cutest, the most playful of all Neopia! They are by far my favourite Neopet. Maybe you're wondering "Why Kougra's?". Well, let me tell you... The Kougras have been a big contribution to Neopia in one way or the other. They've been there to help found cities, rescue Neopets in distress, or simply to help give a laugh to someone that needed it. They have gone unrecognized for quite a while now. And it's time we saw them for the truely wonderful and unique individuals they are! My first Neopet ever was my Kougra, Ravyn6163. She's named after my daughter and is my all time favourite Neopet, even though I'm a horse nut. ^_^ Ravyn the Kougra started out life as a Blue Kougra. She was soon painted Cloud and remained so for over 2 years. But recently I was lucky enough to paint her Faerie! My all time goal is to paint her plushie but in the mean time, I believe Ravyn the Kougra is perfectly happy with her new wings!
Who are the KougrasFind Out! Kougras were discovered in the deep forests of Mystery Island, feasting on the exotic fruits also found there. One of the Kougra's favourite games to play is coconut bowling, and they just LOVE to practice pouncing on each other. What else would those enormous paws be good for? - The Neopets Team The Kougras were first released by Neopets on August 10, 2000 after a contest that was held in the newly discovered Mysterdy Island. Basicly, a Kougra is a large cat with large paws. They usualy have striped fur and big, expressive eyes. Their ears are large and round, in order for them to pick up the smallest sound. And they have a long, whinedy tail. They're from the island Mystery Island and are very friendly Neopians. They're favourite things to do must involve something to play with! Throw a ball of string into the room and whatever the Kougra may have been doing before, forget it! It's all about the string! They're also very self conscious about their teeth's cleanliness. They brush their teeth at least twice a day. The original Kougra was drawn much differently then the newly revamped Kougra. Just to give you an example, here are a before and after picture of each.  and  The revamp Kougra is painted Camo here but you can see the difference in the drawn styles.

Kougra BattlegearSome Kougra's enjoy a good spar in the battledomes of Neopia. It helps to keep them spry and fit so they always have the energy to play whatever new game that comes along. In order to help the Kougra stay strong and "on top of things" against their oponent, Neopia has provided them with battlegear that can only be used by Kougra. Below are just some examples of the many types of battle items you can buy for your Kougra.
Kougra StampsMany Neopians enjoy stamp collecting. And this is no easy task as there are hundreds upon hundreds of stamps to collect! As it happens, the Kougra has been lucky enough to have their adorable face grace the front of a stamp quite a few times! If you're lucky, you may have already found these awesome stamps. Kougra ColoursKougras can come in all colours of the rainbow! There happen to be four default colours your Kougra can be coloured when you begin your play here at the Neopet's Site.     If you're lucky enough to come across one of the many fantastic paint brushes along your journey through Neopia, you can paint your Kougra something even more beautiful. Below are the many examples of how many colours you can paint your adorable Kougra!                                       
How to Paint your KougraWant to know how you can paint your Kougra a special colour? First thing you have to do is find a paint brush, morphing potion, or Transmorgrification Potion. These items can be found by visiting one of the many shops of Neopia, Using the Shop Wiz and looking through other user's shops, by visiting the Auction House, or by visiting the Trading Post. Below are examples of how you can go about changing the colour of your Kougra.

Kougra Images and BackgroundsWhen you're at home, playing Neopets on your computer, when you go to close your window, you may find yourself staring at and ugly background you are using for your Desktop. Famous KougrasThere happens to be many famous Kougras in Neopia. Heroes of games and stories that we all know and love. My own Kougra, Ravyn, absolutly ADORES Jake! Below are a list of some of the most famous Kougras in all of Neopia.  - Jake the Explorer. He is the star of Cave and Corridors: Mystery Island  - Bertie Shurtz. The Mystery Island Team's Centre Forward. Bertie's job is to set up their shooting opportunities with plenty of picks and passes.  - The Haiku Kougra, Rorru. He gives out Haikus daily!  - Fire Paw. He was abandoned in the fiery region of Tyrannia. He was taken in by a group of Scorchios and they treated him as one of their own. Fire Paw has an amazing resistance to heat.  - Linae. She hosts the game of Kou-Jong.  - Tyran Far awaits those in the Tyrannian Plateau whom wish to battle him.  - Zeirn the Electric Kougra. After a nasty incident with the lab ray Zeirn can now harness the power of a storm and use it to do incredible things, like flying.  - The Masked Intruder. He had almost done it, a few inches more and the bronze statue would be in his paws. All that was left was to escape past the four guards and the angry bearogs roaming the grounds. Rufus - No image. In year 6, Rufus was crowned Grand Bogen, a position *always* held by Kougras. Although Rufus may tell you he is personally in charge of organising the entire festival, in reality the Grand Bogen is the one in charge of cleaning up the island afterwards! AdoptablesPerhaps you're looking for an adoptable or two of your Kougra. Well, look no further, I have a list just for you! Below is a list of users along Neopets that create little Kougra adoptables. Some of them take custom requests, others do not. But I can guarantee that you'll find something you'll want to adopt because everyone of them are completely cute! Please do not neomail the owner bugging them for a custom if they aren't taking requests. Read their rules carefully!
