Dr. Evil's Pound_Release Guide2/5- Unfortunetly I no longer have time to keep updating Zmeevik's list with what pets are released, so I'm taking it down. I will keep the UCs at the bottom of this page. Welcome. This is a page dedicated to helping you understand pound_release. If you are looking for just a list of pound_release pets, there are UC pets located at the bottom of the page. PLEASE read this page before you mail me. If you have a question that is not listed here, then feel free to ask. WHAT IS POUND_RELEASE?
Pound_release is an account owned by TNT that holds all (hundreds) of pets that were "stuck" after the pound went down a few years ago. They will release the pets back into the pound. WHY IS POUND_RELEASE FROZEN? TNT froze the account. They WILL still pound the pound_release pets. From editorial 428 "We'd like to assure everyone that the account being frozen in no way impacts that account's capacity for releasing Neopets back into The Pound. The script that runs it will still function exactly the same." HOW DO I TELL IF A PET IS ON POUND_RELEASE? Since TNT froze the account, you can view the petpage and see if it says "my owner, pound_release." I THOUGHT POUND_RELEASE WAS AT 8:47 AM NST? The time changes every day light savings time, either forward one hour or back. The current pound_release time is 9:47 AM and PM NST every day. RUMORS ABOUT POUND_RELEASE Rumor 1:"UCs are converted when pounded. ~Not true, UCs stay UC when pounded. Rumor 2:"There isn't a time for pound_release, it's random. ~ 9:47 has been a proven time for years. Remember the time changes either one hour forward or back to compensate for daylight savings time. Here are few pets that were adopted at this time and were on pound_release lists: gamecube117, faerie_flower_angel, Originally_Special, painkisses, Erizolen, XxGuardianOfMagicxX, Emma, Rafells, Daisy88neo88neo, AmberleofArborlon. Rumor 3: "Frozen pets get added onto pound_release ~Only pets that were pounded when the pound was down will be on pound_release. Pets on frozen accounts will be deleted and the names reusable. I GOT THE NAME, HOW DO I GET THE PET OUT OF THE POUND? There is no way to get him out of the pound other than checking at 9:47, to see if he is pounded. Refresh just before 9:47 and about 30 seconds after. You will be able to see pound_release pets if you are just surfing the pound. WILL YOU TAKE SO-AND-SO OFF YOUR LIST?! No, sorry =( ORDER OF PETS Me and my sister figured out that if you search pets at 9:47, you can see different name patterns or "strings." Look for names that are very similar to each other. When you're pets name pattern shows up, it's time to stalk. However, this takes a lot of patience, and is time consuming, and isn't necessarily the best way to stalk. The best way is to put the name in the search box EVERY day at pound_release time. Example of "strings.  HOW LONG DOES POUND_RELEASE LAST? All the pets are pounded around 9:47. Some times, pets take a while to show up in the pound, that's because they get stuck, just like any other pet. It may be minutes or even hours before it will show up if you are surfing. CAN I SEE PETS THAT WILL BE POUNDED NEXT? If you initiate a transfer with the account pound_release, you can see the next 5 pets that will be pounded. Do NOT actually confirm a trade with pound_release. These are only 5 pets, not all that will be pounded next pound release, the only ones you will be able to see. Step 1: Click on the transfer door in the pound. Step 2: Click a pet to transfer Step 3: Type "pound_release" in the pop-up box. Don't worry, you won't actually transfer your pet.  Step 4: On the confirm your transfer page, click on "Click here.  Now you will see 5 pound_release pets that will be pounded next pound_release. Do NOT exchange neopets with pound_release unless you want to waste a transfer. DO PETS WHO'S OWNERS ARE FROZEN GET PUT IN POUND_RELEASE No, unless the owner put the pet in the pound when it was down, then they were frozen. Frozen pets get deleted by TNT. Only pets that say "Owner: pound_release" will be pounded. FROZEN PETS ON FROZEN ACCOUNTS DO NOT GET POUNDED.
