."Wulf would be the absolute perfect person to give Queriza to because not only in she an amazing roleplayer, but she is also one of the nicest people you'll meet. She creates amazing designs for all of her characters, and elaborate and original personalities and backgrounds. I don't think she'd ever even think about abandoning him, as she's never done it to a pet before, and would probably draw him loads of great art. I have no doubt that she'll take care of him almost as if it were real.".

."I personally don't think Wulf needs a reference. Her pets speak for themselves. All of them have awesome designs, are roleplayed frequently, and have nicely coded petpages. Their personalities are all distinct, interesting, and memorable (An equine roleplayer on neopets has either heard of Kemper or they live under a rock).
The fact that she's trying so hard to get this pet speaks miles.".

.To the owner of Queriza,
Wulf is the perfect owner for your uni. She never fails to come up with a great design and spoil them with art and roleplays. She is a great person and if she gets Queriza I know that she will make him happy.

."Dear Sara(666_devilsrock_666),
WHAZAP? xD; Nah, just kidding. I'm Kodi, one of Wulf's friends. Oh yeah, you know it. Your pet, Queriza, is her dream pet, and I'm proud to say that she's so dedicated to her pets and those she applies for. I mean, just look at that design! Wow! O_O It's just so amazing! xD I really think and strongly beleive she deserves Que because 1) She's an awesome person and 2) just LOOK at that dedication and design! Man, if MY pet was up for adoption, I'd want her on the adoptee list! Haha xD
Well, it's your choice if you pick Wulf or not, but I strongly suggest you do. Thanks again!
~Kodi".
Intro
.As you stumble across the beach, only slightly angry at a certain pheophin that had yelled at you when you had tried to rest in a cave that had actually been the secret entrance to some lab. Glancing around, you decide that you might as well enjoy yourself while you are at the beach. Storming around in an angry huff isnt very fun, really, when you get right down to it! You stand near the part where the golden sand starts to get wet, and you take off your shoes and roll up your jeans to go wade a little in the foamy, salty water. The waves splash over your feet, and it feels so nice—until, of course, you hear a deep voice behind you.
."I suppose that feels just swell," the deep, pleasant bass sound, which is almost so deep it's a rumble, sounding like it was coming from deep inside the barrel of a chest. You turn to look, not completely startled—you'd been through enough awkward occurrences to be too completely shocked.
but in the end, it wasn't even the voice of the thing that startled you.
.The android, as that was indeed what he must have been, saw you looking at him, and an expression of long-suffering crossed his eyes. Which, of his face, was almost all you could see—that, and the grim line of his mouth. The parts of his skin you could see was thick with long, shaggy reddish-brown hair, and his one fore-leg that was still flesh and blood was black up to his knee. His ebony mane, which was very long and wild and braided in places, lay around his face and neck like wet silk. His left hind leg was flesh and blood as well, and black up to the hock and covered in thick fur. The rest of him was completely machine—and where the bars of the machinery seemed almost too thin to support him, pulses of what looked like electricity danced wildly around the thin bars. His ears were very long and also made of thin metal. The metal parts were blue and silver, and occasionally red. His eyes were a shade of bright, blood red.

."H…hell…hello." You stutter, looking him up and down. He sighs.
Indeed." Seeing as he's not bothering to introduce himself, and since you were starting to get used to this by now—there were so many rude people that didn't introduce themselves these days—you went ahead and began.
Well, I am guest. What's youre…uhm…name? Do you have a name?" you realized just after you had already said it that that was a rather rude thing to say. Oh well. What was said was said, right? But he was so big…and….scary…
."My program is titled Queriza." He stated, almost sarcastically. You raise an eyebrow at him.
."Your program?".
."I am a machine. I have no claims to life." You glance at his chest, which is not covered in machinery, and almost think you can see a heart beating there. You shrug, thinking of a few sarcastic things you might say, but deciding against it almost reluctantly. He eyes you. "Have you spoken with Master then?".
."If by 'Master' you mean that crazy old peophin, then yes. He's a loony-toon." The giant creature chuckled a little, a sound you knew a machine couldn't understand enough to make.
He does seem that way.".
.Seem? He is that way!" You cry, your jaw almost dropping in shock when you heard him reply so lightly. He chuckled some more, but this time didn't say anything, so you decide to change the subject. "So….what are you doing here?".
.A dark look arises on his face---not that your shocked or anything. Everyone these days had some sort of sob-story to tell. You decide to get a little settled, and sit right down on the sand, expecting him to go into a long explanation.
.And so you wait.
.And wait.
.And finally, after watching him sit there and make that dark expression for about two minutes, you throw your hands up in exasperation. "Well? Are you going to answer or just sit there and look like a moron?" He looks at you, his ruby eyes wide and startled.
."Well…if you put it that way I suppose I could open my files and recite my stored history…".
."And try to sound interesting instead of like a robot?".
."I am a robot.".
."Aren't they trying to design robots who act less like robots? Liven up!" he gives you a reproachful look, but you ignore it and wait expectantly.
War
."…Many years ago there was a warrior who terrorized my people. Our lord's son led entire crusades against this warrior—but the warrior was too strong, a sorcerer of fire and of ice… I trained my entire life to face him, and he watched my training and development with a sneering, amused eye. He was hungrily awaiting the day we would face each other. But then, when that day came and I thought I was ready…I failed my people, as could be expected. I was killed, he rained fire down on my hopeless, beaten body, and I burned to near ashes.".
You look at him. He had said it all with regret in his voice, but not that much enthusiasm. And he didn't look very dead, and the parts of him that weren't machine didn't look very burnt. But then again, that's why parts of him were machine, wasn't it? Gah! You just make yourself feel so dumb sometimes. He notices your look, and seems almost uncomfortable.
."Well?".
."Yeah. Yeah. Well doesn't even describe it. That was pitiful. You need to work on your story-telling skills. I almost fell asleep." He blinks, then drops his head a little and looks sideways, almost like he was slightly embarrassed. You raise your eyebrows at him. "Well, you don't look very dead to me. What happened next? And remember, this is your chance to redeem yourself and save your story-telling reputation. Make it interesting. Try not to talk in monotone. There you go. Good job. Keep it up.".
."Please!" he complains, still in his semi-embarrassed stance. You shrug, with a helpless grin on your face. He takes a look at you, and then relents.
Master
."…I remember the last thing I saw was my own flesh, burning… burning off, peeling away to reveal bones…remember seeing the white of my own skull before my eyes as the flesh melted off of my nose. I cant remember making any noise, but I could hear my own howls echoing in my ears. And then…
."Then I remember my vision blurring, and a voice…it was a soft, disgruntled voice, but it sounded so determined, so set on me. I remember a bright light, and when my vision focused, I remember seeing those golden eyes. They were strange, those eyes… a brassy sort of gold, and with a strange, almost maniacal determination. When he saw me wake up, the look in his eyes subsided to what I almost took for satisfaction.
."'So you're finally awake. Tell me, what is your name?' He had asked me, and I recognized the voice, the voice that I had heard repeating back calculations to himself as I sat in what felt like emptiness, seeing only blurs in my black-edged vision… Of course, I didn't say anything. I was so… it was… horrible. I couldn't remember anything much. Nothing but my name and my last few memories of how I had died, which I did not want to recall at the time.
Then he looked almost distant, and began muttering to himself unintelligibly. I do not remember what he said, but he sort of… hobbled over to a table near the one I was laying on. I tried to lift up my head to see where he was going, and I felt slight resistance, but I was stronger than it and I just pulled free.
The sound… oh, the sound was almost deafening. I heard the sound of popping, like the sound of bones when you break them inside their cushioning of flesh, and then sparks began to fly around my head. It reminded me so much of the fire… but then the creature that had woken me jerked his head around in surprise, and let his jaw drop.
."That is the most uncollected I have ever seen him, in my entire time of knowing the man, I have never seen him caught off his guard like that.
."'No! what do you think you are doing? Lay back down!' he commanded me. I did as I was told, and felt almost comforted when he hobbled toward me at a humorous pace. He pushed my head down, and began pressing buttons and instantly the sparks stopped and suddenly I realized I could breathe again. Had I not been able to breathe? What was breathing?
."There, see boy; don't do anything I don't want you too, or you'll go and get yourself killed after all this work I've done to bring you back to life.' I wondered what exactly had been of me before I had woken up in this laboratory of sorts. He looked at me, almost fondly, then finally revealed to me his name, and what I would come to call him. 'I am Dr. Shadukon, but I'd like it if you would call me 'master'.".
Healing Touch
You stare at him. "Is that all?" You ask doubtfully. You remember this 'Shadukon', as the disgruntled peophin who had kicked you out of the cave. Had there been a laboratory in the cave? You just might have to explore that later, with or without the peophin's consent.
Queriza looks to the side, and you think you can almost see a flicker of warmth in his ruby eyes. He glances up at you again. "Well… Once Master allowed me to move about, I became restless and wandered out from the dark subterranean of his laboratory. Upon reaching the surface, I arrived here. I chanced upon a rock pool, as I had never seen the ocean before and was not too keen on going near it or into the darker sand. But I looked into this rock pool, and there was just enough light to see my outline against the sky that reflected itself on the surface of the water. It was very depressing, actually… My outline seemed disfigured, and not as it should be.
."And then I met… her." He mutters simply, and you see that warm look in his eyes sort of flare up a little stronger. "She was so kind. She found me while I was looking in the rock pool, and instantly began to talk to me. It was as if I didn't seem at all strange to her. She asked me what my name was, and answered that her name was Serapheia. She was also like me, I came to find out, and Master had brought her back to life as well. However, unlike myself, she had no idea at all who she had been before. I at least could remember my name and my death, and the rest had been told to me by Master as soon as he discovered that gap in my memory—and as he had told me, I began to remember and knew that he was telling the truth.
."However, it seemed that she had some sort of special power. She could heal. And she could heal more than flesh wounds, I have found, though she does not seem to realize this special power she has. I observed it once, when a stallion who knew my Master from long ago showed up on our doorstep, completely distraught and ready to give up completely on life. He had but one thing he wished to do before he left; and the fire of that thirst for revenge burned in his eye like the glint of evil in the eye of a murderer.
."Master seemed at first to have expected this. He agreed to allow the stallion to stay a while to recover, as he was very beat up and looked like he had barely survived some sort of catastrophe. He did not take kindly to me; he regarded me often with a distrusting eye, and try as I might, I could not shake the look either from myself or from weighing heavily on how I perceived myself.
."As the stallion grew stronger, I found out that he was a wizard of sorts, and his family had been brutally murdered by his former mentor after he himself had fallen in love with his mentor's daughter. His name was Kaiquar. I will not go much deeper into his story, as even I nor master know the full particulars of it, but I am sure that if you find him he will tell you what happened in great detail. He does not forget any easier than I, who have a database and am incapable of forget. The word is hardly in my vocabulary.
."Anyhow, as it turns out, Kai had come around when he was younger, and he knew Serapheia, or Aphe as we call her for short, from childhood. While he stayed with us, she touched his heart, quite unknowingly, simply by discussing with him the factors of his life till the point he was at, and reminding him of old times, when he and his sister would come to play on the beach with her and collect seashells, a passer of time which she had had me participate in with her countless times before. I watched it, I watched the glint in his eye subside down to a flicker, but it never completely went out. But I know that she had, in her way, dumped water on that fire, and undoubtedly that fire of his has long vanished by now. He left us that summer—but with his departure I realized that Aphe had done a similar thing to me, as I had watched her act lovingly around Master, whom she affectionately referred to as 'Uncle,' seeming to show no bitter feelings towards the mad doctor who had done so much harm to her in the past—and I realized that in witnessing this, I had also lessened in my own hatred of him.
Passive
You look at him, and nodded approval. "That was much better, Qu." You tell him. He chuckles a little.
I have had a long time to think about things.
So what will you do now then?" He sighs, and looks out towards the seemingly endless ocean.
."I will search for my purpose; Master said that he didn't bring me back simply for fun or experiment, but that there was some sort of secret locked inside of me, some sort of potential. While I can easily see the reasons behind Aphe's resurrection, I do not even begin to understand my own 'potential,' as Master calls it." Queriza looked precisely thoughtful at that particular moment, you had begun to notice.
."Well, I liked meeting you, if its any consolation," you inform him, standing up and brushing sand off yourself. He chuckles at this, but doesn't elaborate, and you don't mind, for you realize that he spends more time observing and calculating than he does socializing. He seemed to be a very private person.
."It was nice meeting you as well, guest." He says, refusing to turn his ruby eyes to you. You know that if it weren't for that mask of metal, that there would be a very large, sarcastic grin on his face. You smile a little.
."AHA! I knew you hadn't forgotten my name." He turns to you in surprise, before bursting out laughing. Well, it was true—you had begun to wonder if he remembered your name or not, especially with his whole speech on the word 'forget' not really being in his vocabulary—because had he even used your name once till just now? No. You didn't think so.
Indeed," he cried, still laughing.
Geeze, it hadn't been that funny.
."Well, I'll see you around then," you start to say, waving a little. "And when I come back you better have a really good story for me. I'm going to be real hard to move the next time I come around here." He grins, his ruby eyes sparkling a little.
."Of course, my friend. Just don't forget to stop by, now.
."Honestly, Qu. 'Forget' isn't even really in my vocabulary." He chuckles a little, and you turn to leave on that good note. Good-byes don't always have to be horrible, you know.
