How to Run a Successful 1,000 NP Deals Shop Introduction Hello there! My name is Sabrina, and I ran a successful 1,000 NP Deals shop for nearly two years. After receiving many neomails asking me questions about how to run a successful 1K Deals shop, I decided to just go ahead and write a guide. A 1,000 NP Deals Shop can be extremely profitable. I use to make about a million NP a week from my shop before I changed categories. Yes, the profit is amazing, but it does require a lot of work! This particular category requires a lot of restocking daily, so if you're not ready to do some work in your shop, then this is not the right category for you. What is a 1,000 NP Deals Shop? A common misconception about a 1,000 NP Deals Shop is that people often think that everything in their shop must be priced at 1,000 NP. This is simply not true. A good 1,000 NP Deals Shop will have items priced at 1,000 NP and under! Yes, I said under. Think about it. There are hundreds of items out there that you can buy for under 5NP... pricing these items anywhere from 100NP to 800NP still gives you a great profit margin, while giving your shop a good variety of price ranges. Don't get me wrong, there are many 1,000 NP Deals Shops that price everything at 1,000 NP, and that is just fine as well. As long as you don't have many items over that price, you're in the clear. Stocking Your Shop Restocking from main shops is not required in this category. You can do just as well restocking your shop from user-shops. The key to success here, is always buying lowest on the wiz items, and having a maximum price set for your items. When I say have a maximum price set on your items, I mean have a price in mind that will be the absolute maximum you pay for a certain item. For example, my max price on a Black Jewelled Collar was always 115NP. That means I would never, under any circumstance pay over 115NP for one. That leads me to another important point - be sure to keep your SDB fully stocked! If you're making 250K a day from your shop, that means you have to restock a minimum of 250 items. This is where your SDB can become your best friend. Take the example of my max price on Black Jewelled Collars - 115NP was my max price, so I would buy any and every collar I could find for under that price each day. I would stock a quantity of 5-10 in my shop, and put the rest in my Safe Deposit Box (SDB) for days when I didn't feel like restocking. Trust me, it makes those days when you don't have time to restock so much easier. Finally, have some pricing guidelines in mind for your shop. Example, I would never pay more than 700NP for anything in my shop. That means every single item I sell has a minimum of 300NP profit. In short, make stocking an item worth your time and effort - and stock smart. Stocking items that cost 950NP isn't very smart, as it only gives you a 50NP profit. If you want to maximize profit, take my advice and don't waste your time and effort stocking items that will cost you over 700NP. One final tip in regards to stocking; Always remember, people seldom buy ONLY what they need, they typically buy things that catch their eye. In simple terms, people tend to buy items that "look cool, or are pretty". Just keep that in mind while stocking your shop. Tools for Stocking your Shop Using an item database can make deciding what to stock as easy as spelling your name. Neoitems.net and items.jellyneo.net are my favorites. To effectively use these tools, search by price in ascending order, and don't select a category, search all categories. This will bring you pages and pages of items beginning with the cheapest ones first. Marketing Since most of the items in a 1,000 NP Deals Shop are sold at a marked up price, you can't rely on the shop wizard alone to bring in customers. A 1K Deals shop does best in a mall, especially malls that advertise on the Notice Board. Additionally, advertising your shop on the shop ads neoboard will bring you lots of extra sales. When I first started as a 1K Deals Shop, most of my customers came from the shop ads board. As I stated in the introduction, this category requires work on your part - advertising is part of that. Trust me, your hard work advertising on the boards will pay off in your shop till. The shop ads board is free & easy to use. All you need is a catchy thread title and a good ad. If you need help in that area, be sure to check out my shop-advertising guide, which can be found here. Best Sellers I'm often asked for a list of my best sellers, so here they are. Below is a list of the items I sold most of at 1,000NP each.
Doughnuts, Milkshakes, Food in general, Plushies, Furnitures, and Battle items sell very very well. Summing It All Up Always remember; people buy what looks pretty/cool, always keep your Safe Deposit Box well stocked, and advertise, advertise, ADVERTISE! If you keep those things in mind, your shop should be raking in the Neopoints. It is intended for exclusive use by The Mallers League. All Rights Reserved. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
