Ebana's coast is so vast that most of their resources and manpower go toward protecting their eastern and southern flanks against invaders and raids, most of them from the Southern Islands. The Solaris monarchy commands their vast navy from their capital city Astorport on the coast. Astorport is a crowded trading center and harbor town. Any ships making their way north usually stop here to refuel and sell some of their goods. Ebana has no official border with Fataland but most citizens refuse to cross the river or the central plains that serve as unofficial borders.

Not much is known about this forest-covered country. Everyone knows its full of magic-- the kind you want to avoid if you value your life. Not many people return from their forays into the forest. Those who do come back telling stories so wild and varied that they can't be true...right? As a result, the denizens of this country often feature in children's nightmares. The only known 'civilization' within the country is their capital of sorts, Briar Glen. Legend has it that an ancient Ebana king was gifted with knowledge of Briar Glen in a dream. No one has been able to verify whether or not it actually exists.

Sibilene

Weaknesses: Military defenses

Sibilene is the smaller but more prosperous country in the Northern Desert, ruled by the Arcturupatra monarchy. The western border tends to shift like the sands of the desert itself, but it's generally acknowledged that the lone mountain marks the end to Sibilene and the start to Urseos. Hebta, the capital city of Sibilene, nestles at the base of the lone mountain. Between the shade of the mountain and a large underground river, an oasis big enough to support the mid-sized capital city has formed. The other towns that make up the country are mostly spread along the coast. A few have found other small oasis's to build around in the desert. Sibilene's fortune comes from the fine linens created from the hair of one of their hardy domesticated animals (think part camel, part sheep, but with long fine silky hair). They're also known from the fine books and parchment they produce along the coast.

If you've seen the Pirates of the Caribbean, think Tortuga-- but bigger. This collection of islands has no ruler, nor any government or collective civilization to speak of. The islands serve as home all kinds of outlaws and villains. They have no loyalties to anyone but themselves and to their gold.

Urseos

Strengths: Weapon manufacturing, manpower
Weaknesses: Natural resources

The country has historically been controlled by a small but elite aristocracy. Urseos is the largest of the four countries but the least prosperous by far. Bordered on all sides by inhospitable mountains and desert, Urseos depends on traded goods for survival. These goods are paid for in large part by the minerals and metals mined from their western mountain range. Urseos is known for their ability to forge weapons of superior quality and craftsmanship. The capital city Morn was carved into the side of a mountain particularly rich in iron ore. The city settled itself far to the north to avoid their southern cousins across the mountains, who tend to creep over with eerie ease.

When Kerhym left the court of rouge in disarray to pursue his own ends and Papone refused the position, Nitsuh took up the position as the new queen of rogues. While she still works primarily in her self-interest (and those of her so-called 'subjects') she doesn't forget who forced her to flee Urseos in the first place. She's not above occasionally passing on a bit of information to the Solaris family if it'll help remove that man from power.
