The Beta is sort of like a second-in-command or a deputy. There is rarely two betas, often it is just one Beta. The Beta has the job of keeping the pack in order while the Alphas aren't around. When the Alphas return, they are no longer able to order around the pack.

The hunters are in charge of tracking and killing the prey. It is their responsibility to feed the pack, making sure there is an abundance for everyone to feast upon.

Scouts are stealthy wolves. Little sound is made when they step. Watching the territory borders for any humans is their main goal, though they can help keep an eye on pups or give coordinates of the prey being tracked by the hunters.
