Personality

Kurin is a playful young Lutari that lives a carefree life. He enjoys the simple pleasures of living in the wild. He loves making new friends though, and is openly friendly with anyone he meets..

He is naiive in that he doesn't acknowledge evil or bad people, and acts very confused when attacked. He would never dream of causing anyone harm, so he just limits himself to avoid being hit if attacked, while constantly trying to ask why the other insists on trying to harm him.

Very athletic and somewhat of an acrobat, he is very quick and flexible when moving away from trouble. When he gets too nervous or overly excited (strong emotions in general), butterfly wings sprout from his back, enabling him to fly, and (unknown to him) gives him the ability to use light-related powers, in the form of a solar beam.

History

Kurin's parents lived by a river close to Altador, where he was born. It was a simple, peaceful village of fishermen and farmers. When Kurin turned 13, the village was visited by a very long and terrible drought, that killed the crops and eventually began to dry the river.

Kurin's family left the village, like many of the survivors, following the river to the sea, in hopes of finding a better place to live. But the famine had brought a plague that eventually killed Kurin's parents, a year later.

Alone, and still young, Kurin wandered the land. He learned to live off what he could catch and find in the wild. The loss of his parents and home made him retain his childlike innocence and personlaity, refusing to grow up and become part of another community.
