A Zombie's Tale

It was a cold October night in the Haunted Woods. It was time for the annual Great Ball and I was lucky enough to be invited but unfortunately I had no dress fair enough to wear nor any neopoints to buy one. I watched while they got the ball room ready, banners put out, and excited pets running around buying and trying on all kinds of fancy dresses and suits. I looked at the one laid out on my bed, it was so old and torn I could never go to a ball in that or anywhere else for that matter. I sat on my bed and my petpet Silpha climbed into my lap, I stroked her hard shell and started to cry. When I calmed down a little bit, Silpha jumped down and ran to the attic. I wasn't in the mood to go and chase her but I did anyways, I found her in the very back and darkest corner of the attic on top of an old chest. I don't remember that chest I said. Getting down on my knees I pulled it closer and opened it, to my surprise it was a dress but not just A dress the Most elegant one I had ever seen. I screamed for joy! Quickly pulling the dress out and holding it up to my body. It fit perfectly! I looked through the rest of the chest, I found a pair of gloves, pair of shoes, a mask and a brilliant necklace. It also had a letter that said. *To my dearest daughter, go and find the love of your life, no matter how long you must wait.* I was so happy and there was still time to get ready before the ball started.
I ran back to my room and put everything on, hugged Slipha and left for the ball. I remember the night like it was yesterday. The sky was pitch black like any voidberry but the stars were like tiny beautiful diamonds lighting the way and the moon, the moon was shinning brightly as ever and was the color of a brilliant autumn orange. It would take awhile to find the right path especially in the Haunted Woods, the trees are always causing mischief. I stop at the edge of the trees and look at them, they where standing still and making no noise. They seen safe at first glance but I knew how they are. Waiting for someone to venture inside and get far enough into the forest where you just start to fell relaxed, that is when they strike. Howling, screeching, and reaching down with hand shaped branches and if you get past that, then they switch places to change paths and only if your smart enough can find the right way. They enjoy it and I can see why, standing still for so long is such a bore but getting to watch pets screaming and trembling, darting back and forth trying to get out is entertaining. I do not fear the woods as many other in this area do. I see the greater more comforting side. I smiled thinking of how much fun the trees will have today I chose my path and greeted them while walking quietly but quickly to the ball. I was finally able to get out of the maze of trees and found the entered to the great ball room. I looked around, it was beautiful, everything shone so brightly and all the different colors of dresses and suits. As I walked in a few pets gazed at me with delight but others with disgust and many of the guys came over to dance with me. Then a group of girls waved me over, I could not tell who they were with their masks on but I could tell there was an Aisha, Usul, and Wocky. We talked a while about fashion and dancing then I left to go sit on the balcony.

Can you believe the dress she is wearing? asked the Aisha
Yea its so beautiful! said Wocky
I hate it and her. said Usul
Aisha and Wocky agrees
All the guys want to dance with her. said Aisha
Yea she will probably win the Best Dressed prize. said Wocky
No, we wont let her. said Usul
How are we supposed to go that? asked Ashia
Yea we can't just go up to her and tell her to leave. said Wocky
Then we will have to kill her. said Usul
Kill her? asked Aisha
Yea kill her, that would work. said Wocky
But how? asked Aisha
We could umm, you know we uhh. stuttered Usul
She's a buzz right? asked Aisha
Yea a buzz! said Wocky
So what? asked Usul
We could use something that could kill a buzz. said Aisha
Yea like Insecticide! said Wocky
Insecticide? that's perfect! said Usul
But where do we get some? asked Aisha
How about the gardeners shed? asked Wocky
Great idea! said Aisha
ok, I will go get the insecticide and you two must convince her to go into the woods. said Usul
Yea lets get the Guys to help us. said Wocky

I was sitting on the balcony enjoying the cool breeze. When five pets came up to me. The Wocky and Aisha I was talking to just a few minuets ago and three male pets, A Lupe, Gnorbu, and Skieth. They asked if I would like to go with them into the woods and become a member of there group. I had never been asked to join a group so I excitedly said yes. They led me into the woods and onto an old rugged trail, the two girls in front and three guys in back. It felt like we walked for hours but finally stopped at a clearing I'd never seen before with the dense forest all around us and a single old stump in the middle. I walked over to the stump and looked up and seen the great orange moon shinning down.
To join out group, we must preform the sacred ceremony. said Usul
umm OK! I said
You have to say our pledge and then drink the holy liquid. said Aisha
Yea this wont take long, then you get to know all our secrets. said Wocky
Ok! I said again

I was sitting there listening to the guys talk about games and other guy things, while the girls quietly walking up behind me getting ready to perform the ceremony. I sat on the stump while they danced around me chanting. When that was over they made me say the pledge and promise I wouldn't say anything about this day. I did all they asked then it was time to drink the holy liquid. Though how discussing it smelled and tasted I drunk it. I was just about to get up and dance around the stump with them but all of a sudden I got really dizzy. Falling to the ground holding my stomach like it was gonna burst, I looked up at them for reassurance asking if this was normal. All I saw was smiling faces, horrible evil smiles that looked pleased by what they did. I didn't understand, why would they be pleased I was suffering? I hurt so much and asked if they would take me back to the ball. They laughed then one of the boys took a large branch and hit me over the head. I tried to yell but nothing came out, I hurt so much that I just let my head drop to the ground. Watching as the six walked off laughing and joking as I was getting weaker and even more tired by the second then without realizing it I closed my eyes.
I knew I was sleeping but my mind was still thinking and all I could think of was the pain. How could they do this to me and why? I hate them, I hate them so much. I don't want to die, I can't die......

When I woke up I was still in the woods but it seemed older to me. I could tell it was no longer October it seemed around like Spring. Sitting on the stump, looking around I began to crying then stopped when I felt something jump in my lap. To my surprise it was Silpha but she also looked different, she had become a ghost. I gladly hugged her, wondering how she found me and how long it took her. We eventually found our way back to the ball room but it was over and filthy, like no one had been there for years. Walking around the place I saw the wood chipped and broken, decorations torn and thrown about. The whole place was deserted even by mice or bugs. I found an old broken hand mirror on the ground. Picked it up and looked at the half that was still intact and I screamed, to my unbelievable horror I was a Zombie. They had killed me! They had done this to me! I promised on that day I would find them and make them suffer for what they had done.

Since then Pohe has been seen wondering through the woods and surrounding places, but most of all the Old Abandoned Ball Room searching for those pet species that had killed her but also looking for anyone that might be her friend.
