Hello guest!, welcome to PILGRAMRULES51's Illusen quest guide.

Illusen is an earth faerie residing in Meridell; she offers quests to those who come visit her glade. These quests consist of retrieving an item in a constrained time frame. For each quest you complete in sequence, your 'level' will increase and on certain levels Illusen will reward you with a prize. Beware, the items become more difficult (higher rarity) and generally more expensive as you progress. Besides the item rewards, there are also high score trophies and two avatars that can be earned.

This guide is dedicated to aid those just crazy enough to partake in Illusen's quest campain :P If you have anything to add, corrections to make or suggestions, please feel free to drop me a neomail :)

How To

1./ First you have to travel to Illusen's Glade. Go to Explore - Meridell - Illusen's Glade, or for convenience sake click here.

2./ This is what the quest page looks like.

You can only do a quest every 12 hours. If you accept one of Jhudora's quests (Illusen's nemesis), you will have to wait 12 hours until she forgives you.

3./ If you click accept, you will be given 16 min 40 sec to find the item (SSW, Shop Wizard, Trading Post, shops, etc... and bring it to her.

4./ If you complete the quest your score and level will increase, and depending on the level, you may be awarded a item prize.

If you fail a quest you will have to start again from level 1 and your score will be reset.

Notes:
- On level 35 and above Illusen will only ask for rarity 99 items.
- Your score (but not your level) will be reset to 0 at the beginning of every month.
- The higher the Quest, the higher the rarity of the item.
- You can't complete an Illusen quest on Jhudora Day (February 4th).

Rewards

You are given an item reward approximately every three levels. All the items before level 35 are all buyable.

Level 35

On level 35 Illusen will ask you for a rarity 99 item.

As of May 14th, 2010 there are 1643 rarity 99 items. Their prices can range from 1k to millions. If the item requested is UB (Unbuyable;over 100k) you may have to neomail users on the TP for a quick trade. Below is an example neomail that could be used (just fill in the blanks with your item and price).

It is your decision whether tell sellers you are on a Illusen Quest. Some malicious users may try to overcharge you if they know you are on a time limit. Others may help you out by taking them item out of their gallery :)

How much np should I have before I do level 35?
This is a question I get a lot, you can use this basic equation: The price of a honey potion - how much you have spent. Really though, it up to you to decide, the equation above is just to break even. Personally I wouldn't never attempt level 35 with under 500-600k.

Selling Your HP

The first time I had completed Illusen's Glade level 35. I made the mistake of writing "I have never sold something of this value before :P" when I was chatting. Boy, did that open the gate for scammers -_- Always make sure you check the current price at the Trading Post. During a war the price can increase to a million or more. During a lull it make go down as far as 600k. If you want to trade more then 800k, you will have to use the Neopian Auction House.

Trophies

At the beginning of each month the trophies are re-set. If you want to earn a high score trophy I suggest you start at level 1. To earn the most points, you have to minimize the time between accepting the quest and completing it. How the scores work: You get 1000 seconds for a quest (16 minutes and 40 seconds). You can score a maximum 2000 points, but will lose 1 point from this for every half-second it takes you to complete the quest. There are two ways to go for a trophy: Long term: Pick times that work for you (eg 7:00am and 7:00pm or 8:00 am and 8:00pm) and complete the quests every day. Be aware that as you do more quests the time that you can accept them will move back ever-so-slightly. Reset day: On level 1 Illusen will ask for items with the rarity 10-15. Having a selection of these items in your inventory could greatly shorten your completion time. There are about 100 items in this rarity range.

WARNING: TNT might get mad if you are over stuffing your inventory with the sole purpose of advancing yourself in the standings. Limit yourself to 49 items, the 50th one being if you have to search and buy the item :)

(eg running to may programs, shops with music or graphics, unreliable internet connection, etc...) - Make sure you have less than 50 items in your inventory.
