24.Sept.o9 :: Finished writing Tao's poem and added it to the page. :) Currently working on his story.

14.Sept.o9 :: I have been working on the application a little bit each day. I drew a few more pictures, which will be scattered throughout the petpage section, and I started working on more content. I have completed About Taoshinz, Likes/Dislikes, The Family and the entire application section. Over the next few days I will begin creating the Award, have the poem written, and write the story.

12.Sept.o9 :: Today I officially started my application. I began working on a drawing of Taoshinz and started outlining the application.

Note to TNT: I created this petpage on my own free will. The owner of Taoshinz, holla55, has stated that a simple neomail application would suffice. But I chose to make a petpage instead. Making a petpage was not forced upon me or even encouraged. It was my own personal decision.

These are current members of my neofamily!

I recently bought myself quite a nice battledome set (as you will see later) and I am putting a lot of time and effort into one-player battles. To keep up with the costs of training, I have also picked up on restocking. While I'm not great at it (I'm mostly just impatient), I do well enough to keep up :)

I am a 20 year old male living in Sydney, Australia. I am currently completing my High School equivalent and plan on attending University starting in March, 2010. My girlfriend, Ashley, lives in California but is hoping to move here for University halfway through 2010 also.

I spend a lot of my free time playing Neopets, but when I'm not on here or attending school I enjoy watching movies, reading, going to the beach (when it's hot enough!) and cooking. Cooking is something that I've really started to love doing over the last few years, and currently try to cook at least one or two new things every week.

I also love animals of all kinds. At the moment I have only two pets, a dog and bird but over the years have had mice, a turtle, rabbits, fish and while I've never had one, would looove a ferret! Hehe.

To put it plainly, I want Taoshinz because I love battling. Ever since I started playing Neopets, it has been my favorite pastime. I hate that TNT seems to have stopped releasing wars, but that has not stopped me from battling. Any battler wants to have an amazing battledome pet and that's why I am applying.

I know that you probably have tens and tens of incredible candidates.. so what makes me stand out from all the rest? What makes me so special? Honestly that's only something that you can answer and decide for yourself. If it were me adopting out Taoshinz, I would want him to go to someone who truly loves the battledome. That is the main attraction of a pet like Taoshinz, so why should he go to someone who doesn't battle? As made evident by my account (my battledome scores, my battle set and my current battledome pet), I am a battler. I battle often and it is something that I truly love doing. If I am chosen as Taoshinz's new owner, his stats would not be wasted. He would certainly be put to good use!!

I would NEVER trade Taoshinz for another pet. There are not many pets on Neopets that I want. I'm not interested in unconverted pets or expensive paint jobs. Battling is my calling. I would have no reason to trade Taoshinz away. If, for some reason, I decided that I didn't want him anymore (which would never happen a nyway..), I would contact you and send him back. But I know that I will always want to keep Taoshinz!

I have been playing Neopets for several years and have no intention of quitting. I can assure you that I am not someone who would accept Taoshinz and then leave Neopets a few months later. I have been here a long time and expect to be here for several more years.

I have a secure account. My Neopets account has NEVER been compromised and I take security very seriously. So there is no chance that someone would be able to break into my account and take Taoshinz. I have a PIN set on all areas of the site and I have a very complex p/w that nobody could ever guess.

My biggest plans for Taoshinz involve training and the battledome. Taoshinz has amazing stats but they can be even better! I have several million neopoints ready to dedicate to his training. I am not someone who would accept Taoshinz and then just have him rot on my account to be shown off. I would work on improving his stats and I would take him to the battledome every day. I already have a great battledome set for him:

* Ghostkerbomb * Magical Marbles of Mystery * Kelpbeards Trident * Sword of Skardsen * Heavy Robe of Thievery * Bag of Healing Dust * Clawed Shield

As for training, my first goal would be to raise his level. If I continued training all of his stats right away, it would take forever. So first I would get him to level 250 so I can train him at the Secret Ninja Training School. After that, I would raise his movement to 201 so he can use the Heavy Robe of Thievery. Then I would work on raising the rest of his stats to 500! In addition to regular training, I would also do 10 Kitchen Quests a day and 5 Terror Trove Scratchcards.

Books

Taoshinz has amazing intelligence and I would like to raise it even more. My first goal would be to go through every book in Neopia that is less than 10k and buy the ones that Taoshinz has not read. After that, I may get him a Booktastic Trophy, but I'm not sure yet. It costs almost 2 million and I might prefer to save that money for training. But it is something that I would consider :0

Petpet

If I am chosen to be Taoshinz's new owner, I will of course give him a petpet! Since Tao is a fierce battler, I would like a petpet that matches that description as well.. so something that looks strong and ready for war! I have not decided on one petpet yet for Tao but I have a few that I am considering:

Beauty Contest

I LOVE getting trophies for my pets. My current pets honestly don't have that many, but they're hard to get. If I am chosen as Taoshinz's new owner, I would enter him in the Beauty Contest. I would LOVE to see him with a gold Beauty Contest trophy!

Customization

Next up is: customization!! I love customizing my Neopets. I mostly buy items from the NC Mall but if there is a neopoint wearable item that I like, I'd buy that too :) I don'tk know exactly what I would buy for Taoshinz because I can't try things on him (since I don't have him) but I thought I'd let you know that this is definitely something that I would do :)

This application means a lot to me and I will be forever grateful if I am chosen. I'll be honest: I will be disappointed if I'm not chosen. I will kick and scream and curse the heavens into oblivion.. but I think that is to be expected for everyone who is rejected. If I am not chosen, that simply means that you found someone better than me, and finding the perfect home for Taoshinz is what's important. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. Just know that if you choose me, Taoshinz will be welcomed into my Neopets family with open arms. I will do my best to make him a star in the Beauty Contest, I will always take care of him and help him advance beyond his current state.

I have absolutely fallen in love with Taoshinz.. more than I can even describe. I love the character I have created, I love his species and his colour, I love his stats, I love the pictures that I can draw of him.. And I could go on and on. For the past few days, Taoshinz has been the center of my attention on Neopets. Every spare moment I have is spent thinking of his application and ways that I can improve it. Whether or not I am chosen, I would like to thank you. The experience of developing a character for Taoshinz and creating this application has been a lot of fun. I have enjoyed every second of it and I'm glad.. because that's really what Neopets is about! And that's what applying for pets is about too.. or it should be anyway. If making an application feels like a chore, then the pet isn't right for you. Luckily, I felt the complete opposite making this application and I hope that it shows through the final product :)
