My plotline takes place in a setting that's somewhat like what our modern earth would be like if everything kind of fell apart. Basically, society as it exists in the now has broken down, and old cities are in a state of ruin (and some parts of various cities are mostly abandoned due to lacking the means to maintain them adequately), etc. Society has not completely fallen apart but it has reverted to a less advanced state, and the ruins and things left behind in disrepair are just evidence of what it once was. I'm kind of still working out the details of how things are operating right now... and what even caused this problem, but that's the general idea.
As far as my characters are involved, several of them are involved in working to figure out what happened to society and how they can recover what was lost. Jjaggeh, for example, has taken residence in a huge abandoned library and is safeguarding the information, restoring damaged documents, slowly collecting any new written material he can find (usually through the help of others, since he doesn't leave the library too often), and making sure the information remains accessible (so, he's basically just a fancy librarian, but he also is working to find clues to what happened). Stealtio and Poison are both mostly self-taught scientists working to revive interests in the sciences. Stelatio works more with nature-related sciences (studying ecosystems and such), which he thinks is useful because it gives him knowledge about the way things live and grow. Poison is mainly a chemist (still trying to work out the details of what he's trying to learn with his research). These three are all of a group they started called the "Path Seekers," which is basically just a way of identifying themselves as part of the effort to restore things.
Now, to begin talking about Dee, I first need to say a bit about Vladiimir. Vladiimir's family is one of few relatively wealthy families around (at least in the area, because all these characters live in the same country, which isn't overly large in land area). Anyway, his father works with re-developing technology (like computers and various machinery), and basically runs a company that does this. Because resources are limited (including electricity), they can't mass produce things and so they aren't able to market a lot of what they create, but they have government support for their development efforts, since the company's work is important for building things back up (plus, I'm sure a lot of what they develop goes directly for the government's use). Anyway, Vladiimir has always such close access to what goes on with his father's company that he has learned a lot about various technology, and at some point he took an interest in restoring old technology that other people couldn't figure out what to do with (generally because it was too complicated). Through this, he wound up recreating some old robotics technology that acts as a 'parasite' (though kind of more in a symbiotic relationship rather than a harmful one) by attaching itself to a living host. Dee became a cyborg by accidentally having one of these robots fuse with him. And basically that's how Vladiimir and Dee began working together, because Vladiimir wanted to be able to figure out how the robot works after being activated and attaching to a host, and Dee complied just because he doesn't know what else to do about it. There is possibly a suspicion that this technology has something to do with what happened to cause all the problems. (And randomly inserted extra info, but Xari also becomes a cyborg through this technology later on, though hers is a bit different from Dee's.)
Still working out a of details and such, but that's the basic idea. And, yes, Dee can do cool cyborg things now. xD
I think a royal pteri or grundo might fit her because I envision them to be... not your average princess, I guess? Very fitting for the idea I have for Klu. With regard to the pteri, I'd love to have a bird character, since I have a small obsession with winged characters and birds are just gorgeous creatures... Having the perfect bird character is a bit of a "dream pet," if you will. As for the grundo, have you seen the beautiful colors and that moon crown? Royal girl grundo and pteri are my two favorite female royal pets.

The pteri is a customization idea I already had for a royal pteri. Might change it up. It features two NC items that I already have, the rest are neopoint or RG pteri PB clothing. Among the items is an Ink Frame, one of my favorite customization item sets (see: Xari, poisongalaxy, Stelatio)!
My perspective of Royal Girl Pteri might be influenced a bit by this... looks a bit tougher than your normal princess, I guess? And yes, I'm a guilty Dress To Impress addict. xD
Klu would be a great fit for me because... I'm looking for a new female character or two, and I think she would be a wonderful addition... I am fond of nice short names, which is one reason why I have a few 4-letter pets like Xari and Skum... and Klu makes me feel very unrestricted. I mean that I feel like I have freedom to do what I want with her. She's a nice pretty color already, but not one that feel overly expensively, so I feel like I could take my time to decide what she should be. And her name is incredibly flexible and brought a few different possibilities to mind, so she'll be great to work with.
A pets Klu would fit in well with...
Hodie the Faerie Grundo! I don't have much up about her on her pages or even this one yet, but she also shares Klu's tendencies to be a enthusiastic person. Hodie is Latin for "today" and "now" and she is truly a character that embraces each and every day to the best of her ability. Everyone has setbacks and makes mistakes, of course, so she's not perfect. Often her philosophy of is lived somewhat more in theory than in practice, but she overall enjoys life and what each day will bring to her. I imagine Klu and Hodie would be good friends. In contrast to Klu, Hodie is definitely a more delicate and prim character. She's not quite as wild or loud or out in the middle of things. She takes things her own pace, which is generally much slower than what Klu would have it and is often trying to help keep Klu out of trouble. She really does love her friend's antics, though.
How does the world they live in effect them?
Both of these girls grew up with the world like this, so they are used to how things are. Some places in the present world are a bit more ruinous than others, but where they live is relatively okay. Doesn't mean things are always safe from vagabonds and criminals, but eh. You learn to generally avoid doing obviously dumb things (like go off very far on your own).
