Welcome Neopians. This here is my guide to the fun, but sometimes frustrating game, Ice Cream Machine. The game is about Chia named Adee who has a sweet tooth for ice cream. Unfortunately, since she eats so much of it, she's been having weird nightmares about killer ice cream cones.
In this game, you play Adee the Chia. You will have to help her escape from the killer scoops of ice cream, which come in various flavors. Thankfully, there are scoops that are good, and if you catch them, they will help you out. My intention for this guide is to walk you through how to play this game and hopefully you will get better. If you practice long enough, you may even get a lovely avatar or a trophy. To get the avatar, you need to score 14,500 points or more.
Lets start with the regular scoops. I, myself, have yet to reach the last three levels of the game. Thankfully, some kind and talented Neopians have sent me screen caps which were edited to add to this page. The number of scoops you have to dodge in the level are printed on the images below. The level flavors are also written below.
Strawberry - 25 scoops, Vanilla - 50 scoops, Chocolate - 75 scoops, Mint - 100 scoops, Blueberry - 125 scoops, Vanilla Chocolate Chip - 150 scoops, Strawberry Vanilla Chocolate - 175 scoops, Peach - 200 scoops, Chocolate Swirl - 225 scoops, Double Chocolate - 250 scoops, Tigersquash - 275 scoops, Rainbowberry - 300 scoops, Garlicy Bratwurst - 325 scoops
On some of the ice cream, there are three yummy toppings; strawberry, caramel and chocolate. These are NOT good for your health, but they give you two times the points of a normal scoop of ice cream.
Now on to the special scoops. Some of these, you will want to get when you can risk it. Others you should run away from, because they don't help you much.
First we have the green scoop. The green scoop with the + symbol on it is one of the bad scoops. It will cause the ice cream to fire at you faster. The only time you should ever get this is in the first couple levels when the scoops are going slow, or when you really want to challenge yourself.
The red scoop is the opposite of the green one. It's the one that has the big - symbol and this scoop causes the ice cream to slow down. In the earlier levels, you can get it if you'd like, but those levels are already slow enough so you probably one need to use it.
Next, we have the blue Chia scoop, which contains a picture of a bigger Chia in it. This is another bad scoop because it makes Adee grow bigger. A bigger Adee makes it harder to sneak your way through the ice cream that is coming after you. Don't grab this scoop, unless you're feeling really brave and want more of a challenge.
The purple scoop that contains a smaller Chia in it is a really good one to have. The more of these you get, the smaller Adee gets. Here is a sample of some of the sizes that Adee can become:
This next scoop is pink and contains a heart. If you catch one of these, your true love will come knocking on your door within the next week. Okay, not really... If this were the case, I'd have my true love knocking on my door about 300 times every week. Can you say stalker? Haha. But anyways, this scoop should be obvious to most of you. For those who don't know what it is, it gives you an extra life. Another way to get a free life is to type in the code '"strawberryvanillachocolate" at the beginning of any level and you will get one, simple as that. You can only do this once though, so don't bother trying this every level.
Moving on, we have the next good scoop. The grey scoop, the one with a shield on it, gives you a temporary shield. It only lasts four or five seconds though, so pay attention. When you first get the shield, there will be a blue 'bubble' around Adee. Three seconds later or so, it'll turn red, basically warning you that it is going to disappear soon. Make sure you're out of the way of those scoops. Here is what the two colors of he shield look like:
Next is the Strawberry Bomb scoop, which in my opinion, does not look much like an actual strawberry, but more like a red pepper. But hey, whatever. When you catch this pepper... er, berry, it pretty much 'blows up' all the scoops on the screen. This can come in handy if there are LOTS of scoops firing everywhere. Honestly, I find this scoop annoying. For one thing, all those scoops you blow up do not go towards the total scoops you've dodged for that level, so you're still going to get more. And second, it really, realllllllllyyy bugs me because it's supposed to be a strawberry, but really, it *does* look more like a red pepper or something. TNT, what were you thinking.[/end rant]
Now we have the scoops worth some bonus points. Get these whenever possible. Don't freak out and shoot across the screen though, you might hit a killer scoop!
The yellow scoop, [pretty please] with a cherry on top, is worth 100 points. It may not seem like a lot, but when you are trying to get a high score, or an avatar, 100 points makes a difference. They really add up.
This blue fish scoop similar to the previous scoop. Mmm, fishy. This baby is worth 250 points!
This is the infamous TNT staff that has been invading a few of the games on Neopets. I believe that his real name is Olli, mainly because that name is spelt out in blocks in the game Hannah and the Ice Caves (see image above). Other than Olli, he is known as The Phantom Orange-Shirt Guy.
In Ice Cream Machine, Olli can bless you with a special scoop that gives you 1000 points. When you open the game, press play and then go chat on the NeoBoards, go restock, go do something else. After about five minutes, you should hear a 'gong' sound. You will now see Olli in the background instead of Adee. When you click to play, you will still play with Adee.
I used to have a bunch of pictures of Olli on this page, but I can't keep up with all the games he appears on. If people enjoyed that part of my guide, please neomail and I'll consider putting it back up.
I'd like to thank all the people who have helped me with this guide.
